Live-in Son-in-law

Chapter 1658: I Don’t Like My Orders Being Questioned

Shui Lian stared speechlessly at her silly little sister. You’re calling someone from the Netherworld Clan a "good person"?

That man just now wiped out several Transcendance Tribulation Stage experts with thunderous force. Our sisters’ lives are literally in his hands, and you’re praising him as a good person?

Qin Yi felt Tian Lian was downright hilarious.

"How old are you?"

Tian Lian said excitedly, "I’m eighteen, my big sister is twenty."

"Does it feel good for you when you’re knocking on my legs?"

Tian Lian nodded seriously.

Shui Lian was completely speechless. You’re the one knocking his legs—what on earth is feeling good for you supposed to mean?

Qin Yi looked at Tian Lian and asked with a smile, "Your father’s name is Shao Tianxiong, right?"

"Eh? How do you know? Do you know my father?"

Qin Yi: "..."

This girl’s missing a few screws... wasn’t it you two who told me that earlier?

"Someone."

Qin Yi raised his voice toward the outside.

A Black Armor warrior pushed the door open and came in, bowing. "Lord Netherworld Envoy, what are your orders?"

"Among the people captured in Sea City, there’s one named Shao Tianxiong. Bring him to me."

"Yes!"

The Black Armor warrior turned and left.

Shui Lian froze, and asked cautiously, "You... you’re really going to let us go?"

"No." Qin Yi chuckled, "I’m planning to bring your father here and have him marry both you sisters to me."

Shui Lian’s face stiffened.

Tian Lian’s eyes lit up, looking at Qin Yi with anticipation.

Before long, the clanking of shackles rang out.

Two Black Armor warriors escorted in a man in ragged clothes, hair matted and filthy.

"Father!"

Tian Lian saw the man and forgot all about kneading Qin Yi’s legs, tossed his leg aside, and anxiously ran over.

Qin Yi was full of speechless exasperation. This silly girl really has nerves of steel; she doesn’t even look at what situation they’re in right now.

"Stop!"

The Black Armor warrior snorted coldly when he saw Tian Lian running over.

Tian Lian was so frightened she backed up a few steps, then turned and looked to Qin Yi for help.

Qin Yi wanted to laugh. This silly girl really has a loose wire—she genuinely doesn’t treat him like an enemy.

Qin Yi waved his hand and said to the Black Armor warriors, "You two go out. Oh, and have Hei Shan come see me."

"Yes!"

The two Black Armor warriors retreated respectfully.

"Father!"

Shui Lian also ran over anxiously.

Qin Yi rolled his eyes. You two sisters, don’t both run off to him—at least leave one for me.

"Tian Lian, Shui Lian... you two, how are you here?"

Shao Tianxiong’s voice was weak but full of shock. He never imagined his two daughters would be here.

"Father, Sis and I came to rescue you."

"You... you’re being reckless! Do you know what this place is? Hurry..." His voice cut off abruptly, because he saw Qin Yi.

Qin Yi sized up Shao Tianxiong. His long hair hung like straw over his face, but his build was fairly tall and broad. First Rank Tribulation Crossing, his cultivation could barely be called decent.

Shao Tianxiong glared resentfully at Qin Yi. "Shui Lian, Tian Lian, I’ll hold him off. You two run."

Tian Lian turned and glanced at Qin Yi. "Father, don’t be nervous, he’s a good person... He said that if Sis and I serve him comfortably, he’ll let us go home."

"What?" Shao Tianxiong’s gaze turned venomous, locking onto Qin Yi.

Qin Yi’s eyes narrowed slightly. He could tell Shao Tianxiong had misunderstood the meaning of the word "serve."

Shui Lian hurriedly said, "Father, don’t be angry! It’s not that kind of serving you’re thinking of, just kneading his shoulders, knocking on his legs."

Shao Tianxiong didn’t believe it at all.

"Tian Lian, hurry and explain it to Father."

Shui Lian spoke anxiously. Acting wantonly in front of Qin Yi was basically asking for death.

"Explain what?" Tian Lian asked, puzzled.

"Explain how we serve him."

Tian Lian said, "Just kneading his shoulders and knocking on his legs."

Hao Tianxiong’s vicious glint softened a little. He understood his younger daughter’s temperament; she’s not very good at lying.

"Really?" he asked, still uncertain.

His two daughters were as beautiful as celestial maidens; he simply didn’t believe it was just kneading shoulders and knocking on legs.

"Father, you really misunderstood. He’s a good person." Shui Lian said.

Shao Tianxiong still didn’t believe it. Could there be good people in the Netherworld Clan?

Qin Yi stood up and walked over slowly. His fingers became blades, several streaks of Purple Light shooting out. Shao Tianxiong’s handcuffs and shackles snapped apart on the spot.

Shao Tianxiong was a bit dumbfounded, unable to react for the moment, frozen where he stood.

Tian Lian looked shyly at Qin Yi. "Are you really going to ask my father for our hands in marriage?"

Qin Yi: "..."

Shao Tianxiong’s whole body shook. He knew it—these dogs from the Netherworld Clan didn’t have any good intentions.

Qin Yi helplessly flicked a knuckle against Tian Lian’s smooth forehead. "I was joking with you, and you took it seriously?"

Tian Lian’s lips drooped, her face full of disappointment.

Shui Lian just kept rolling her eyes. How did she end up with such a silly little sister?

Right at that moment, Hei Shan arrived.

"Lord Netherworld Envoy."

Hei Shan bowed low.

Qin Yi asked, "Is everything done?"

Hei Shan bowed. "According to Lord Netherworld Envoy’s orders, they’ve all been hung up on the deck."

Qin Yi nodded slightly, then said, "Send this father and his daughters off the ship."

Hei Shan was stunned, frozen for a moment.

Qin Yi frowned. "What is it, is there a problem?"

Hei Shan’s body trembled. He quickly said, "Forgive me, Lord Netherworld Envoy, there’s no problem."

"Oh, and while you’re at it, release all the people we captured."

Hei Shan was stunned again. Noticing that Qin Yi’s gaze had turned sharp, he hastily bowed. "Lord Netherworld Envoy, may your subordinate ask why?"

"No."

Hei Shan: "..."

This lord was really overbearing.

Hei Shan didn’t dare ask more and said quickly, "Yes, this subordinate will see it done at once."

"Hei Shan." Qin Yi spoke lightly.

"What else does Lord Netherworld Envoy command?"

Qin Yi stepped forward and patted him on the shoulder. "I don’t like people questioning my orders. Don’t let it happen again."

Cold sweat instantly broke out on Hei Shan’s forehead, his face full of terror. He swallowed a mouthful of saliva. "Forgive me, Lord Netherworld Envoy. This subordinate guarantees it won’t happen again."

"Mm, go."

Qin Yi waved his hand.

Hei Shan glanced at Shao Tianxiong and his daughters. "Come with me."

Shao Tianxiong felt like he was dreaming. His head was still foggy; he completely couldn’t understand what was going on. He’d thought he was doomed, but unexpectedly the situation had taken a sudden turn.

Shui Lian looked at Qin Yi and offered him a graceful bow. "Thank you, Young Master."

Qin Yi waved her off. "You served me very comfortably, so I’m just keeping my promise to be abused."

Shui Lian’s round, fair pretty face flushed red. She kept feeling the word "serve" sounded strange coming out of Qin Yi’s mouth.

Tian Lian looked at Qin Yi and asked in a small voice, "Will you... will you come to Sea City again in the future?"

Qin Yi looked at her and smiled. "Maybe."

Tian Lian’s eyes lit up. She whispered, "If you come to Sea City, can you come find me? I can knock on your legs for you."

Qin Yi burst out laughing, then nodded. "Alright. If I return to Sea City, I’ll definitely come find you. Okay, hurry and go."

Shao Tianxiong and his daughters followed Hei Shan away. That girl Tian Lian kept looking back every few steps, waving hard at Qin Yi again and again, until she could no longer see him.
