Solomon turned his attention back to Jianyu. "You did great today. You can stop for the evening. Rest your body and come back tomorrow morning to practice the third step."
Jianyu bowed deeply, feeling an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. Believing he possessed vastly superior talent compared to his battered peers, the young guard happily sheathed his wooden sword and left the courtyard with a bright smile.
Marco, Arthur, Maximus, and Elizabeth finally lowered their own practice weapons and walked over to Solomon.
Marco rubbed the back of his neck and let out a tired sigh. "You are incredibly petty. You literally manipulated the royal commanders just so you could beat up the guards who laughed at us."
"It was a highly efficient transaction," Solomon replied sarcastically, picking up Eden’s Penance. "They learned a valuable lesson about mocking guests, and one of their guards actually learned a new sword technique. It is a perfect win-win for the kingdom."
Marco blinked a few times, digesting the twisted logic. He looked at the empty dirt ring where nineteen guards had suffered all day, and then nodded slowly. "I suppose you are right. They did bring it upon themselves."
Maximus wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked at the groaning guards limping away from the courtyard. "You were brutal today. Those soldiers look like they went through a meat grinder."
Arthur pushed his spectacles up the bridge of his nose. "You were definitely a bit harsh. Some of them could barely walk after you corrected their stances."
Solomon cracked his knuckles and raised his right fist directly toward the two boys. He offered a bright, welcoming grin. "Would you two prefer to learn the Azure Crane Blade using the accelerated military method tomorrow?"
Maximus instantly stood at attention and offered a rigid salute. "Your teaching methods are absolutely flawless and highly necessary for proper discipline! Those soldiers completely deserved every single physical correction!"
Arthur vigorously nodded his head in agreement, taking a quick step backward. "I fully agree! Sparing the rod spoils the cultivator! You are undeniably the greatest instructor in the entire Eastern Realms!"

Solomon chuckled and lowered his hand. Once the sun dipped completely below the palace walls, he dismissed the boys for the evening, telling them to head to the dining hall for dinner and rest. Marco, Maximus, and Arthur quickly left the training grounds.
Elizabeth stayed behind. She remained entirely focused on her training, having ignored the entire spectacle with the royal guards earlier. She swung her wooden sword through the sweeping cut of the fifth step, her breathing erratic as she repeated the sequence over and over.
Solomon walked over to her side of the dirt ring. "Today’s training has officially ended. You can stop swinging your sword now."
Elizabeth executed another sweeping cut and shook her head. "I want to practice for a bit longer. I need to perfect this transition."
"If you force your body to work past its limits, you will inflict permanent harm upon yourself," Solomon cautioned, stepping closer to her. "You need to recognize when your body asks for recovery."
Elizabeth lowered her sword and frowned at the dirt. "I have to keep training. I am falling behind the others. I am barely on the fifth step, and the aerial maneuvers are significantly harder to learn. Five days have already passed. We only have roughly ten days left to meet the deadline. I must master at least one form every single day to learn all thirteen steps in time."
Solomon approached her and gently grabbed the wrist holding the rapier, guiding the blade down toward the grass.
"Blindly pushing your limits without a calm mind destroys your foundation," Solomon advised, his voice carrying a profound sincerity. "Swinging a blade until your muscles tear apart will only turn you into a broken tool. Your body needs proper rest to rebuild torn muscle fibers, and your mind requires silence to process the kinetic chain. Allowing yourself to recover is just as important as the physical drills."
Elizabeth looked down at her boots. "If I fail to learn the final sequence, you will fail your mission. You will lose the academy star because of me."
Solomon let out a quiet laugh and released her wrist. "Arthur is still struggling with the third form. I am not worried about him failing at all. I fully believe he will learn every single step before the deadline. You are doing incredibly well. Your physical foundation is vastly superior to the rest of the class, making your progress inevitable."
He offered an encouraging smile. "You are a first-year. The sect normally teaches only the first three steps to the first-year disciples. You are already on the fifth form within five days. You are excelling far beyond the standard curriculum."
Elizabeth looked up at him, her red eyes widening slightly.
"If you are truly that worried about the timeline, I will give you personal lessons every night after dinner," Solomon promised.
The tension finally left Elizabeth’s shoulders. A light pink hue dusted her cheeks from the reassuring offer. She offered a small nod of agreement and sheathed her steel rapier.

They left the training grounds together and walked through the moonlit corridors toward the grand dining hall.
Entering the banquet room, Solomon immediately noticed a shift in the seating arrangements. Lune occupied the wooden chair Elizabeth usually claimed at the far end of the oak table.
Solomon walked over and sat down in his usual spot right beside the golden-haired princess. Elizabeth stopped dead in her tracks. She glared at Lune, a deep frown completely taking over her features as frustration boiled behind her red eyes.
Arthur sat on Solomon’s other side, quietly scooping broth into his bowl. The telekinetic boy looked up and noticed the murderous glare radiating from the white-haired royal.
Arthur let out a tired sigh. He picked up his wooden tray, pushed his chair back, and dragged himself to an empty seat on the opposite side of the table. Elizabeth immediately claimed the vacated chair, successfully sandwiching Solomon between the two rival princesses once again.
[1Fizzy: POOR ARTHUR AHAHAHA!]
[James_hayes: the royal sandwich has returned!]
[Foodball: Arthur cannot catch a break.]
[Mezz_3863: Elizabeth refusing to lose her spot.]
