Although traveling to the Ruined Azure Kingdom was exactly what Solomon wanted, he knew he had to put up an act to maintain his responsible facade. He crossed his arms and let out a dramatic sigh.

"I cannot go with you," Solomon told Yue, shaking his head. "I have to go back to the sect with my students and teach them the Azure Crane Blade. I only have one week left to meet the deadline. If I fail Master Wu’s mission, I will lose my star. Earning a new star from you while losing one from him leaves my overall progress completely stagnant."

Yue snapped her jade fan closed. "You do not need to worry about their training. My father, Pavilion Leader Jin, will watch over their progress and teach them in your absence."

"That completely defeats the purpose of the mission," Solomon argued stubbornly. "Master Wu specifically assigned the teaching task to me, not your father."

Elizabeth stepped away from the waiting carriage and approached Solomon. "It is okay, Solomon. You should go with her on the rescue mission. We will continue training earnestly even in your absence, and we will learn the Azure Crane Blade ourselves."

Marco jogged over to join them, resting a hand on his wooden practice sword. "I am on the verge of mastering the thirteenth step right now. Once I secure the final movement, I will take over the drills and train the others for you."

Maximus offered a rigid, respectful salute. "We will not let your teachings go to waste, Instructor Solomon! We will practice exactly as you taught us!"

Solomon turned his attention to the telekinetic boy standing near the back. "Arthur, do you have any problems with this arrangement?"

Arthur pushed his spectacles up the bridge of his nose. He looked down at the cobblestones, his shoulders slumping. "You should probably just choose someone else as your fourth student before the deadline expires. If you keep me on your roster, your task will fail because of my physical limitations."

Solomon walked over and placed a firm, reassuring hand on Arthur’s shoulder. "If I truly wanted to swap you out for someone else, I would have done it on the very first day. If I only cared about completing the task quickly, I would have just grabbed a group of third-year seniors who already possessed the proper muscle memory."

Solomon looked at the four teenagers standing around him. "I chose the four of you because I actually trust you. I know every single one of you will eventually master the Azure Crane Blade. You are my friends. I want my friends to grow strong alongside me so we can accept official academy missions together, earn points, tackle viewer challenges, and experience real adventures."

The sheer sincerity in his voice caught the group completely off guard. Marco blinked in surprise. Maximus widened his eyes. Arthur looked up, a genuine smile breaking through his anxiety.

Elizabeth stared at him, her red eyes softening as a deep pink hue dusted her cheeks. The emotional weight of the declaration left them entirely speechless.

Solomon almost felt slightly guilty for dropping such a heavy, sentimental speech. However, he wasn’t lying. Those were his honest thoughts and long-term plans.

"It honestly does not matter if I fail the Sword Pavilion Master’s task," Solomon promised them, dropping his hand from Arthur’s shoulder. "I swear I will continue teaching you the Azure Crane Blade regardless of any academy stars once I return to the sect."

Solomon turned back to face Yue and offered a bright grin. "Alright, you convinced me. I will come with you to the ruined kingdom."

Gideon stepped forward, his platinum armor gleaming in the morning light. "Since the young disciples will be returning to the Azure Dragon Sect without your protection, I will assign a vanguard of thirty elite knights to escort them safely. Sir Jeffery will personally lead the detachment and ensure they arrive at the sect gates without incident."

"We are incredibly grateful for your generosity, Sir Gideon," Yue replied, bowing her head slightly.

Marco, Arthur, Maximus, and Elizabeth climbed into the spacious wooden carriage. The team of thirty armored knights mounted their horses and formed a protective perimeter around the transport.

After a final round of waves and yelled goodbyes, the driver cracked the reins. The massive spirit beasts pulled the carriage out of the palace courtyard, rumbling down the stone causeway until they disappeared from sight.

"Are you really fine with this? Yue asked with a serious look on her face. "Don’t blame me later if the Sword Pavilion Master punishes you."

Solomon gave her a dead stare and responded, "What was stopping you from saying this before they left? I remember you encouraging me to come with you just a while ago."

"I simply did not expect you to agree to come with me."

Solomon and Yue stood side by side near the grand archway, staring at each other in the sudden quiet of the empty courtyard.

Solomon stared at Yue and Gideon, offering a bright, expectant smile. He glanced around the empty courtyard. "Where exactly is our carriage?"

"We will not be taking a carriage," Gideon responded, adjusting the heavy broadsword at his hip. "A wooden transport will simply slow us down. Furthermore, it becomes completely useless once we reach the steep mountain passes leading toward the ruined kingdom. The terrain is entirely unsuitable for wheels. We will ride on horseback instead."

Hearing that, a cold drop of sweat rolled down the side of Solomon’s face. He stiffened, avoiding the paladin’s gaze.

Gideon noticed the sudden shift in his demeanor. "Is there a problem, Solomon?"

Solomon cleared his throat and quietly muttered, "I... do not know how to ride a horse."

[GoonLord: AHAHAHA NO WAY!]

[LazyCat: the greatest warrior cannot ride a horse.]
