Chapter 230: Inspecting for the Dimensional Shift

Roughly a mile away from the campsite, Solomon and Kulbro arrived at the exact coordinates of the previous night’s excursion.

There was absolutely no river flowing through the clearing.

[1Fizzy: wait where is the water?!]

[James_hayes: the whole river just vanished.]

[Brerell: the spatial distortion is real.]

[Mezz_3863: Solo Man literally just bathed here last night.]

’I did not bathe.’

Solomon glanced around the dry, rocky terrain, searching for the towering cascade of water. The massive waterfall was entirely gone.

Kulbro knelt on the dry earth, performing a few basic tracking checks by inspecting the undisturbed soil. He stood back up and looked at the silver-haired boy. "Are you certain this is the correct place?"

Solomon did not respond immediately. He walked over to a sheer rock face that stood exactly where the waterfall had crashed down the night before. He began climbing the dry stone, finding the hidden handholds and narrow crevices with practiced ease.

"There is no cave up there," Kulbro called out, watching the boy scale the solid rock wall.

Solomon was equally confused. He reached the exact ledge where he had leaped behind the curtain of water. He stared at a completely smooth, unbroken wall of solid stone.

He jumped down from the ledge and landed gracefully next to the knight. "This is definitely the same place."

Kulbro raised an eyebrow. "How can you be so confident? There is no water, and the terrain looks completely different."

"I might not perfectly remember the visual path through the dark woods, and the terrain itself can obviously be shifted or masked by magic," Solomon explained, dusting his hands off.

"But I explicitly remember the physical feeling of how I climbed that waterfall last night. I know exactly where I stepped. I know exactly where I placed my hands. The physical dimensions of the rock face perfectly match the climb I made yesterday."

Kulbro looked surprised by the unconventional tracking method, but he did not doubt the boy’s flawless muscle memory.

[MattMickyD: bro’s muscle memory is insane.]

[Alpha_char: remembering the exact rocks is crazy.]

[GoonLord: THE ULTIMATE SENSE OF DIRECTION!]

[Foodball: Kulbro is actually impressed.]

Solomon stared at the smooth stone wall where the hidden cavern should have been. ’What is actually going on here?’ he wondered, feeling a pang of regret. ’Maybe I should have explored that dark abyss more thoroughly last night while the entrance was actually open.’

Solomon let out a quiet sigh.

He grabbed the thick leather strap of Eden’s Penance and hauled the massive executioner’s sword off his back. He dropped his center of gravity, compressed his momentum into the tip of the pristine steel, and executed the fourth form of the Eden Imperial Sword Arts.

He launched a high-velocity piercing strike directly at the smooth stone wall where the cavern entrance supposedly existed.

The blade struck the rock with a dull thud. Absolutely nothing happened. The stone remained perfectly intact, lacking even a single scratch.

[Tyler_Klare: well that didn’t work.]

[Zoomtech: the dungeon is locked bro.]

[2Lazy2Care: gotta find the key first.]

"Let us head back to Gideon. There is nothing else we can do here." Solomon frowned, strapping the sword back across his chest. He and Kulbro turned around and trekked back through the dense brush to report their findings to Gideon.

A few seconds after they disappeared into the treeline, a microscopic fissure appeared on the smooth stone wall exactly where Solomon had aimed his strike.

The tiny crack slowly began to spread, webbing across the rock face until the magical illusion shattered completely. The solid wall crumbled away, revealing the dark, hidden cavern once again.

But the force of the imperial strike did not stop at the entrance. The shockwave traveled deep into the earth, tracing down the walls of the pitch-black abyss. The vibration plunged down, down, down, until it finally reached the absolute bottom of the freezing chasm.

The invisible shockwave struck the massive, unbreakable glacier. The force rippled across the pristine ice, halting right before the magical chains.

Deep inside the frozen glacier, the chained, humanoid figure suddenly stirred. The thick ice groaned loudly as the woman trapped within the eternal seal slowly opened her piercing, glowing blue eyes.

Solomon and Kulbro emerged from the treeline and returned to the waiting carriage.

"The physical location is exactly the same," Solomon reported, resting Eden’s Penance on the ground. "The terrain and the mountain structure have not changed at all. Only the river and the cave entrance are missing. We do not need to worry about being lost or walking in circles."

Gideon nodded, satisfied with the tactical confirmation. "Excellent. Let us resume our journey."

They mounted their horses and the carriage rolled forward once again. A while later, as they bumped along the paved dirt path, Yue leaned across the plush cushions and looked at Solomon with genuine curiosity.

"How did you manage to unlock your lower cores so quickly last night?" Yue asked, snapping her jade fan open.

"Someone in my chat gave me some really good tips," Solomon replied, glancing at the floating bronze owl. "They also gave me a live challenge to unlock all seven cores within a week. Now I only need to open the navel core and the mind core you mentioned earlier. How do I unlock those?"

She pointed her fan toward his stomach. "The navel core acts as your primary spiritual reservoir. It does not control a specific limb. It stores excess aura to fuel your stamina and amplify your overall output. You can likely feel its presence and even clear the connecting pathways right now, but the gate itself is incredibly stubborn."

"It will only force itself open when a ridiculously excessive amount of internal energy is actively stored and circulated against it. Achieving that requires you to enter a deep meditative trance, known as the ’Abyssal Calm’ stage."

Yue then tapped the side of her own head. "Finally, the mind core. This is the absolute pinnacle of aura mastery. You cannot simply force it open with raw spiritual pressure. Unlocking the mind core requires genuine enlightenment. You must enter the ’Ethereal Perception’ stage, aligning your internal energy perfectly with your external surroundings until your intent can physically manifest in the real world."

[1Fizzy: cultivation lore dump!]

[M00N: the final two cores sound insanely hard.]

[Mezz_3863: Solo Man taking notes right now.]

[James_Hayes: enlightenment? bro only knows violence lol.]

[Zoomtech: Yue is such a good teacher.]

"I will help you with the navel core once we return to the Azure Dragon Sect," Yue promised, offering a reassuring smile.

"I will grant you access to the pavilion’s Spirit-Condensing Lotus Roots and our premium Qi-Gathering Pills. Consuming those resources will tremendously boost your internal energy production, providing the exact pressure needed to shatter that gate."

"Thank you," Solomon nodded gratefully, immediately closing his eyes to focus on his internal circulation within the moving carriage.
