At first, the Death Legion felt there were too few zombies to give them any real practice. But they soon discovered that zombies from across the entire planet were converging on their location.

Many zombies burst out from hidden caves and beneath the ground, their numbers growing rapidly. Before long, the soldiers had to fight at full strength just to maintain their army’s advance speed.

Most of these zombies were at the early Guiyi realm or below—seemingly low in cultivation level, but their physical bodies were incredibly resilient. Even Death Legion soldiers needed to be one full realm higher than a zombie to handle it effectively. Otherwise, if they were at the same realm, they couldn’t kill the zombie at all, only barely hold their ground.

The zombies let out howling roars and surged toward them from all directions, apparently excited at having found food.

Ye Liuyun and the Death Legion were equally thrilled—they’d finally encountered opponents they could freely cut loose against. This cultivation level was perfectly suited for practice.

Ye Liuyun and his clones didn’t discriminate by realm either, focusing solely on honing his blade intent. Regardless of what level he faced, he killed with a single slash.

As he fought, he channeled some divine energy into his Demon-Slaying Blade, letting it kill zombies on its own. The blade circled Ye Liuyun excitedly, cleaving through zombies with ease—one strike, one kill.

Ye Liuyun also took this chance to release the Demon-Sealing Stele. It had been ages since it had absorbed any energy; these zombies were perfect for it—otherwise even demons would disdain their unusable energy.

The stele charged out eagerly as well, specifically targeting higher-realm zombies for annihilation while crushing and draining those around them too.

Ye Liuyun sensed these zombies’ soul power and confirmed they were truly dead things with only faint spiritual awareness fluctuations.

He sent his own soul force into some zombies’ consciousness seas to test—it easily obliterated their awareness. He also attempted soul searching on them but found nothing except that this star system was called the Death Star System.

"Death Star System? No wonder there’s not a single living thing here!"

Ye Liuyun didn’t know what other dangers lurked here; he’d find out when he encountered them. But for an entire star system to have no living beings while still preserving its source power—that alone proved whatever danger guarded that source power was beyond ordinary cultivators’ ability to handle.

These zombies possessed no consciousness whatsoever—only simple killing instincts and bloodlust.

He tested his own soul pressure, bloodline pressure, and realm pressure on them—all could repel lower-level zombies. They simply knew primitive threat avoidance; once Ye Liuyun withdrew his power they’d surge forward again.

So he merely reminded his soldiers that they could use soul attacks in critical moments to save themselves before resuming his practice with heaven-earth power slapping down incoming zombies.

None of the soldiers casually used soul attacks either. Such training opportunities were rare for them—they wouldn’t waste them.

After practicing for a while, outermost soldiers retreated to rest in formation’s center while fresh troops rotated forward replacement duty seemed endless still pouring toward endlessly sky-covering ground-covering waves

Demon-Slaying Blade grew increasingly enthusiastic sweeping kills clearing large swaths forcing behind scatter clones likewise surrounded empty space

Demon-Sealing Stele already run ahead distant areas preemptively striking higher-realm corpse demons army’s path littered fallen bodies

Ye released Devil Vine keeping hidden underground following collecting corpses without needing engage combat

Two continuous days killing rotated three times before gradually rising difficulty growing strenuous requiring three-man teams coordinate takedowns

Only then did issue command: "Expand formation outward leave center gap Demon Race Legions switch demon race practice!"

Soldiers coordinated outward slaughter creating central opening first clone released legion spreading while contracted swapping positions

Second clone collected resting preparing next planet battle resumed personal continued higher-realm slaughter

Two demon legions well-fed high-realm facing mere Guiyi third-layer opponents needed true essence physical strength alone sufficient until day later rising seriousness required three days pressure felt valley previously spotted reached

No demon dared approach the mouth of that valley, likely because something dangerous inside made them wary.

Ye Liuyun released all the demonic beasts around him and had them guard the perimeter of the demon army, protecting them as they fought their way to the valley entrance. Then his first clone recalled the demon army back into his Spatial World.

The demonic beasts also began killing these zombies with excitement—perfect for practice. Ye Liuyun wasn’t in a hurry to enter the valley either. He stayed at the entrance with his clones, letting them fight to their hearts’ content while he kept watch for danger.

The demonic beasts fought for an entire day until their energy stones were completely depleted. The zombies outside were growing increasingly scarce—probably most of this planet’s zombies had been exhausted by them. Even the Demon Sealing Stele returned with the last batch of zombies.

Only then did Ye Liuyun recall all the demonic beasts into his Spatial World to recover their true essence. He and his clones then unleashed their full blade intent to slaughter the remaining zombies, thoroughly clearing out all undead outside.

Demon Vine had long since absorbed its fill and collected numerous zombie corpses, which it handed over to Demon Sealing Stele in piles for direct absorption. Afterward, it returned to Ye Liuyun’s Spatial World to sleep.

Once Demon Sealing Stele absorbed all the zombies, its strength improved dramatically as well. From its final smashing force, Ye Liuyun could tell it already possessed combat strength rivaling Unity Realm Sixth Layer demons.

These zombies were simply too stupid—once they sensed its pressure, they froze in place. So each time it could rely on its own weight and mass to crush even higher-realm undead.

Ye Liuyun didn’t put it away but instead brought it into the valley with him. The valley was deathly still; there would likely be more zombie creatures inside, so he might as well let it absorb to its heart’s content.

But as soon as Demon Sealing Stele entered the valley, it charged straight toward the bottom without hesitation—who knew what it had discovered? Ye Liuyun worried it might encounter evil beings beyond its ability, but calling out did nothing; it wouldn’t return.

"That thing!" Ye Liuyun sighed helplessly and let it go.
