Of course, he had also mentioned sniper rifles.
Theoretically, the longer the barrel, the farther the range.
A massive firearm like this, combined with magical ignition, could definitely achieve a sniping effect.
The only problem was that moving with such a huge weapon would surely attract enemy attention. Plus, an ordinary person couldn’t possibly handle a gun this big; it would take at least two people to carry it.
It was completely impractical.
’Is she treating my place like a weapons testing ground?’
He gave the weapons a quick look. Though their appearances were wildly varied, they fell into just two categories.
One category was guns—guns of all sorts of wildly imaginative designs, but hardly any of them were usable.
The other category was Alchemy Bombs, and each bomb was bigger than the last.
Leech’s heart ached at the massive expenditure of gunpowder materials. ’I never should have bragged about the Tsar Bomba. Is that something you can just whip up by hand?’
With no related research and only Betty to work on it, her only method for achieving a bigger explosion was to increase the dose of Magic Gunpowder.
The result was the scene Leech now saw before him.
The smallest of the Alchemy Bombs were the size of two human heads.
But merely increasing the quantity yielded very limited improvement in power.
Leech would go bankrupt long before the quantitative change led to a qualitative one.
Every explosion was gold evaporating into thin air!
This time, aside from having Ah Yamei open a Space Gate to bring the weapons over, she had also sent three Corpse Ghosts from the dungeon.
A Corpse Demon Giant Lizard, a Corpse Ghost Rabbit, and a Corpse Ghost Red-haired Earthling.
Leech had also taken advantage of the moment the spatial distance was bridged to contact the Water Nymph. The Water Nymph wasn’t in the waters near Pigtail Bay, so Leech had her swim directly toward Iron Valley.
Finally, after nightfall, Corpse Demon Guy Marvin and Niels Bohr arrived with 200 fully-armed elite undead. All of Leech’s forces that couldn’t be revealed publicly had now assembled.
There were three Extraordinary Corpse Ghosts in the group: Aina with her [Poisonous Touch], Guy with his [Phantom Badge], and the Rabbit with its [Wind Cavalry Helmet].
There were also four non-Extraordinary Corpse Ghosts: the large Corpse Demon Giant Lizard, Necromancer Ah Yamei, [Clay Puppet Doll] Niels Bohr, and the Red-haired Earthling.
There were 200 elite Soldier corpses from the Monkey Clan, and 49 Undead Cavalry.
Aside from Leech, there wasn’t a single living person in the entire troop.
Just as the outline of Lilac Village came into view in the distance, a horde of corpses swarmed toward them.
The Corpse Demon Giant Lizard and Nils charged forward to meet them.
BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!
The Giant Lizard stampeded forward on its four legs, cracking the ground and sending dirt flying.
Its tail cracked like a whip through the air, and the hundred or so corpses ahead couldn’t withstand its charge, scattering on impact.
There were indeed too many corpses in the area, and they managed to use their superior numbers to swarm onto the Corpse Demon Giant Lizard’s body.
CRACK! Its massive tail lashed out like a steel whip, pulverizing several corpses into pulp.
Nils was slightly slower. As he ran, dirt and rocks were pulled from the ground by some force, plastering themselves onto his body. After about a dozen steps, Nils had transformed into a golem made entirely of earth and stone.
A sweep of his stone fist sent corpses flying.
One corpse clung to Nils desperately and took a bite, only to get a mouthful of dirt that plugged its entire mouth shut.
Nils’s body then absorbed more dirt, rapidly repairing itself.
Against them, the sheer number of low-tier forces was meaningless.
The corpses were quickly cleared out by the two Corpse Ghosts.
Corpses also came from other directions, but they were all dealt with by the other Corpse Ghosts or undead Soldiers before they could get near Leech.
An undead bird flew into Lilac Village one step ahead of Leech.
’No one left alive?’
After it circled a few times, Leech could confirm that the village was empty. Not a single living creature was to be seen.
’It would be better if they simply died here. Fleeing would only lead to a more despairing fate.’
He decided to enter Lilac Village for the time being.
One reason was to conveniently clear out all the vine corpses in Lilac Village. The other was that he needed to rest and wait for the Water Nymph to swim over; she would be his main helper in the next phase.
The doors to every house were wide open.
Leech ordered his undead Soldiers to move the corpses, pile them up, and burn them all together.
Otherwise, long before the vine corpses could dominate Iron Valley, the plague from the unattended bodies would be enough to turn this place into a dead zone.
Three more corpses were still wandering in the village. Upon sensing Leech, they immediately charged at him.
Leech drew the Longsword from his waist and thrust with both hands.
After piercing through one corpse’s head, he planted his foot on its chest to pull the sword free, then quickly swung it in a rising diagonal slash, lopping off half the head of the second pouncing corpse.
The last corpse was too slow. Leech reversed his grip on the hilt and threw the sword, sending the Longsword through the undead’s forehead.
He walked over, casually pulled out his sword, and with a sharp flick of his wrist, slung the blood from the blade.
He sheathed his sword.
Rounding a bend ahead, Leech saw another male corpse. It was lingering by a doorway.
’It’s actually ignoring me?’ It was the first time he’d encountered a corpse that wasn’t interested in him. He guessed, ’Could this be a mutated variant?’
He walked closer. The vine corpse lingering at the door suddenly spun around and lunged at him.
"So you’re just like the others," Leech said with regret, swiftly drawing his sword and running it through the creature’s head.
Noticing the corpse was wearing a leather outer garment, he bent down and wiped his blade clean on it.
’What’s inside that could make a corpse temporarily resist my allure?’ Leech reached out to push the door, only to find it was barred from the inside.
He lifted his foot and kicked the door off its hinges.
