"I defeated it easily," Liam said.

Elena had her cheek rested flat against his chest, her heart still hammering a rapid, erratic rhythm against his ribs.

She stirred slightly at the words, her hair shifting across his skin, and lifted her head to look at him.

Her eyes were heavy-lidded, the flushed color still sitting high on her cheekbones, but her eyebrows pulled together in faint skepticism.

"You defeated a full-grown bear," she said, her voice still raspy from how hard she had come moments earlier. "Easily."

"Easily," Liam repeated, his hand resting on the small of her back, his thumb tracing the smooth curve of her spine. "I did not even get a scratch."

"Good," she said, tilting her chin up, her weight still pressing comfortably down on him where they were connected. "If you had then you’re definitely not ready to fight any of the numbers fighter"

’If only she knew I’ve taken one down already.’

Liam looked up at the ceiling, letting his mind drift back to the damp air of the clearing, the roar of the waterfall in the background, and the sudden, heavy crunch of breaking timber at the edge of the tree line.

"When it came out of the brush," Liam said softly, "It was moving at full speed, heading straight for me. The ground looked like it was shaking under it. It was huge, Elena, twice my size easily, all dark fur and muscle."

Elena stayed quiet, watching his face, her hands resting flat against his shoulders as she listened.

"I did not have time to think," Liam continued. "It came right at me and swung its front paw. A huge, heavy strike that would have taken my head off if it connected. But my legs just reacted. I moved out of the way really quick, sliding through the damp leaves just as the claws cut through the air where I had been standing a second before."

He paused, feeling Elena’s chest rise and fall against his own.

"The bear hit nothing," he said. "It stopped hard, skidding in the dirt, looking around like it was genuinely shocked. It had no idea where I had gone. It stood there for a second, huffing, until it turned around and looked behind itself."

Liam smiled faintly at the memory. "And I was just standing there. Right behind it. I was not even in a fighting stance yet. I was just looking at it, observing how big it really was, taking in the sheer size of the thing."

"You stared a black bear down, impressive," Elena murmured, her tone a mix of amusement and disbelief.

"Right and I’ve never seen one up close before," Liam said. "So I just looked at it for a second and said to it. *i have never seen a bear before. And how huge they’re.*"

Elena let out a soft, breathy laugh against his throat. "You spoke to it."

"I did," Liam said. "It did not appreciate the commentary. It let out this massive, roaring growl that vibrated right through my chest, planting its back legs into the mud and showing every single one of its teeth."

Liam’s eyes narrowed slightly as he recalled the shift in the air. "I looked at it and said. Alright, let’s go then"

"It swung at me a second time, another wild, heavy swipe.I dodged again, slipping right under the blow, but that time I felt the rush of wind off its paw hit my face. It was freezing cold and fast. I remember thinking right then, if that thing actually lands a clean hit on me, I am dying on the spot. No questions asked."

Elena shifted her weight slightly, her body tightening around him just enough to draw a quiet breath from his lips. "So how did you finish it?"

"It turned back to face me, resetting its posture," Liam said, his voice dropping an octave as his hands tightened slightly on her hips. "It was ready to attack again, growling low in its throat, nothing in its eyes except pure anger. No thought, just instinct. It charged hard, kicking up dirt and moss behind it."

He took a slow breath, his chest expanding under her. "I did not run this time. I stepped right into its path, waited for the exact moment its body committed to the forward momentum, and went in. I brought my hand back and landed a clean, solid strike right into its chest."

Elena leaned in a fraction of an inch closer. "And?"

"And my hand went straight through," Liam said quietly. "The impact was so heavy, the force carried right through its chest cavity. The animal did not even have time to roar again. The momentum collapsed instantly, and it hit the ground hard, completely motionless, right in the dirt in front of me."

He paused, the quiet of the bedroom settling back over them.

"I was standing there, wiping my hand on my pants, when the brush opened up again," Liam said.

"Wrath walked out holding a huge bundle of firewood over his shoulder. He looked at the bear lying in the dirt, then looked at me, completely unbothered. He just nodded and said, ’Oh, I see that the training is going well.’ And I looked at him and said, ’Yeah. It is.’"

Elena stared at him for a long, quiet moment, taking in the narrative, before a slow, knowing smile spread across her lips.

"Alright," she said softly.

Liam shifted beneath her, his posture straightening slightly. "Now that I am done telling you about my heroic survival," he said, his voice carrying a lighter, teasing edge, "I think you owe me a little help with this."

Elena raised her head, her eyebrows lifting. She slid back slightly on his lap, shifting her hips so she could look down between their bodies.

Liam was still thick and erect beneath her, slick with her moisture, rising proudly against her inner thighs.

The tip of his dick glistened in the soft light of the room, fully rigid and waiting.

Elena looked down at him, her eyes tracing the length of his dick before moving back up to meet his gaze.

A slow, warm smirk played at the corner of her lips.

"Well," she murmured softly, her fingers reaching down to lightly trace the warm underside of his shaft, making him pull in a sharp breath through his nose. "I suppose you do deserve to enjoy yourself after dealing with such a dangerous wild beast."

She began to shift her weight, preparing to slide off his lap and move down his body, but Liam reached out, his long fingers catching her gently by the wrist.

Her movement stopped.

She looked at him, puzzled.

"Liam?"

Liam looked up at her face, his expression turning sincere and quiet. The lightheartedness from a moment ago was gone, replaced by a grounded, thoughtful look.

"Elena," Liam said quietly, his grip on her wrist gentle but firm. "I just told you a story about your father. About how he was taking the compound. About how it was the thing that ended his life. And you did not say anything about it. You did not even react. Are you really okay?"

Elena sat still on top of him, her body suspended in the quiet room.

She looked down at him, her deep eyes searching his face, taking in the genuine concern etched into his features.

For a moment, the air felt heavy, filled with the ghost of the late patriarch and the weight of the family name she carried every day.

But as she looked at Liam, the tension in her shoulders slowly melted away.

She smiled. It was a soft, quiet smile, free of pretense or defense.

"I am okay, Liam," she said softly, her voice steady and clear. "I really am."

She reached out with her free hand, resting her palm gently against the side of his cheek, her thumb brushing over his cheekbones.

"I miss him," she continued, her tone reflective but completely calm. "I miss him every single day. But I came to terms with who my father was a long time ago. He was a man who lived entirely on his own terms, for better or for worse. Knowing that he was happy out there, doing what he loved with Wrath... it actually gives me a little peace."

She leaned down and pressed a soft, sweet kiss to the corner of Liam’s lips.

"But," she whispered against his skin, "it is very sweet that you care so much about how I feel. Even in the middle of all this."

Liam looked into her eyes, seeing the complete honesty in them, and felt the knot of worry in his chest slowly untie itself. He released her wrist, his hand sliding down to rest against her hip.

"I just wanted to be sure," he said quietly.

"I know," she murmured. "Now... let me take care of you."

Elena moved with deliberate slowness.

She unmounted his lap, sliding her smooth legs over his body until she was kneeling between his open thighs.

The cool air of the room hit his wet skin, making his muscles react instantly as he watched her.

She settled on her knees, her dark hair falling over her shoulders in rich waves.

She looked down at his dick, which was heavy, warm, and pulsing gently against his stomach.

"You are wet enough already," she noted softly, her fingers wrapping around the base of his shaft, testing his weight. "You do not even need much coaxing."

"Elena," Liam groaned, his head falling back against the pillows as her warm, soft hand began a slow, firm stroke up to his head, spreading his own pre-cum across the sensitive tip.

"Shh," she whispered.

She leaned down, her lips opening over the rounded head of his shaft. The sudden warmth of her mouth was overwhelming.

She took him in slowly, wrapping her tongue around the tip, swallowing him inch by inch until she was taking half his length into the dark heat of her throat.

Liam’s hips gave an involuntary twitch upward, his hands coming up to grip the bedsheets tightly on either side of him. "Fuck, Elena..."

She did not rush.

She used her mouth with quiet, deliberate rhythm, bobbing her head slowly while her hand worked the lower half of his shaft.

Her tongue swirled around his ridge, catching every drop of slick moisture, drawing out long, heavy hums of pleasure from deep in his throat.

She took him deep, letting him feel the wet suction of her cheeks and the smooth warmth of her throat before sliding back up until only the head was resting between her painted lips.

She flicked her tongue over his tip twice, three times, making his lower stomach tighten so hard he could barely breathe.

She kept up the steady, intoxicating pace until she felt his hands reach down to gently touch her shoulders, his breath coming in short, jagged gasps.

She pulled back with a quiet, wet sound, wiping a stray strand of hair from her face as she looked up his body.

Her lips were slick and red, her eyes shining with dark intent.

"That is enough waiting," she said quietly.

She shifted her body, straddling his waist once more.

She guided his wet, hard length to her opening, the tip resting right against her warm, swollen folds.

She hovered there for a single second, her eyes locked onto his, letting the anticipation build until the air felt electric.

Then, she sank down.

Liam let out a low, guttural growl as she took him in all at once.

Her body was impossibly tight, gripping him like velvet glove, her inner walls wrapping around his length with a slick, burning heat that made his toes curl against the sheets.

Elena buried her head in the crook of his neck, her hands gripping his shoulders tight as her body stretched to accommodate him fully.

She stayed still for three long seconds, letting both of their bodies adjust to the sudden, complete intimacy.

"You feel... so big inside me," she whispered rasply into his skin, her breath hot against his collarbone.

"You feel incredible," Liam choked out, his hands reaching up to take firm hold of her hips, his fingers digging into the soft flesh there.
