Chapter 1804 - 1336: Let Me Become Yours

Unexpectedly, Ash’s expression wasn’t very surprised, just his grip on Sonia’s hands grew tighter as if he wanted to merge her into his own body.

Sonia pressed her lips together, her eyes misting, but her voice became more alluring: "Is it okay? I’m willing to help you establish a harem. Let’s not mention Freyja and the others; there’s also Dedarose, Qinna, and those related to you; you can enjoy them as well. Even if the Witches have opinions, I’ll still help you."

"You ask if it’s okay, then of course, it’s okay."

Ash spoke slowly:

"But if you ask if I dare, then of course, I don’t dare."

"I really am willing."

"I also really don’t dare," Ash’s voice turned a bit hoarse: "Why? We haven’t seen each other for just over eight days, so why are you suddenly—"

"Because we’ve both died once."

Sonia tightly grasped Ash’s back, her ten fingers like thorns, hooking without releasing.

"You almost died in Hell, I almost died in Heaven; the reason we can now embrace each other and feel each other’s presence is due to the help of many, many people." She lightly sniffed, continuing to speak: "If not for Freyja and their help, I couldn’t have raised Heavenly Kingdom in time; if not for the Witches willing to take risks, I couldn’t have unsealed Hell; if not for Death Mad sister’s self-sacrifice, you and I could not have reunited."

"Why would they be willing to help you? Why would they be willing to help me?"

Sonia let out a distant sigh, as profound as an echo squeezed from the creases of her soul: "Because they love you."

"I always believed before that you only needed me, that the two of us together could conquer the world and trample Fate underfoot. No matter how many people you liked, they were just cannon fodder, I was your only destined one, so I always wanted to make you mine... but I was wrong."

"This Heaven and Hell battle finally made me see clearly a fact—"

Sonia gently stroked Ash’s cheek as if treating a piece of art, softly saying: "If you had only chosen me, we would have perished by now. You don’t just need me, you need them... you need us."

"Love, to you, is not just an emotional need but a survival need. When they bestowed you with the Bonds System, it was destined that you had to walk this path. A lonely Mage cannot defeat Fate; Death Mad sister has verified this countless times, so you must become the core that connects us, gathering everyone’s power to forge a new future..."

"You will have many lovers," her voice was very soft and low, as if telling him the greatest secret of the world: "I can only be one of them."

Ash’s body trembled slightly, as if all his strength was drained, leaning against Sonia. Now it was Sonia smiling to comfort him, "Don’t worry, I’m really fine, after all, you didn’t suddenly do this; from the Distant Realm, you had always told me you wanted a harem. You never gave me false hope; instead, I was persistently insisting for too long, taking a whole year to be willing to accept this reality."

"Even if..."

"Hmm?"

"Even if that’s true, why do you torture yourself like this?" Ash suddenly lifted his head, his voice trembling slightly: "Why not throw tantrums? Why force yourself? Why can’t you, like before, make me suffer too when you’re sad?"

"Because it’s necessary."

"How could there be such a necessity!"

"There’s no other way; if your favorite is the Witch, I’d for sure be as jealous as always, trying all possible means to compete for your love, because although the Witch also has possessiveness, to her, friendship and love weigh the same; she wouldn’t have any objections to us being with you. If your favorite is Silver Lamp, all the better; she’ll wholeheartedly only wish for your happiness, and she’d even be delighted to see us with you. If your favorite is Vishi, surprisingly she’s easy to coax, no matter how much chaos you have with us, as long as you’re sincere to her, she’ll forgive you and never disrupt the team’s harmony."

"If your favorite is Freyja, Siflin, Hanna, Tamasi... even Felix, that’s fine too!" Sonia took a deep breath, gently saying: "Every one of them would prioritize the greater good, fulfilling the Queen’s responsibility to maintain your harem, and I could continue to insist, clinging to unrealistic fantasies to keep striving, much like an Evil Concubine trying every means to make you mine..."

"But your favorite is me." Her voice was joyful, yet her ruby eyes were already tear-filled: "Your most favored one is me, Sonia Servi!"

"I can certainly keep throwing tantrums, continue being jealous, continue tormenting you, and you’ll rack your brain to placate me just like before, spending an entire afternoon cultivating beautiful flowers... like foolish lovers constantly repeating fights and reconciliations, mutually tormenting... but even if we don’t drag the team into the mire, they’d surely harbor resentment for the injustice."

"You won’t always have a crisis to divert internal conflicts," Sonia lowered her head, "and they won’t always be so forbearing."

Ash suddenly realized: "So you want me to treat everyone fairly..."

"Who made me the one to receive the most favoritism?" Sonia laughed, "So-called fairness is taking from the too much and giving to the not enough. Now it’s a relatively manageable situation; when Freyja and they follow you to become Angels, converting from a division among four to eight, or possibly more, then will be the real challenge."

"But don’t worry," she gently sniffed, "I will manage them well for you... it’s my duty as the ’Queen’."

Ash shook his head, "But—"

"No buts; you’re the great Supreme of Magic, and I’m the commanding Six-winged God. We both have many more important things to do," Sonia said: "We should be spending our precious afternoons in more meaningful ways."

"But I didn’t struggle to this point for a meaningful life... I climbed out from hell precisely because I wanted to do many meaningless things with you!" Ash grabbed her shoulders, saying excitedly: "Today is the first time giving you flowers, and tomorrow, the day after, and days after that, we still have to waste much time experiencing different firsts... we had agreed upon that long ago."

"You still remember that agreement." Sonia rubbed her eyes and smiled radiantly, "Your firsts are all mine."

"Of course, didn’t I say I never forgot you for a moment?"

"But perhaps it would be better if you could forget our past," the Red-haired Swordswoman’s expression was gentle, her voice ethereal: "I’ve already ceased being trapped by the past, but you still can’t let go of that willful me."

"Because I’m still just as willful," Ash said stubbornly: "I won’t accept a flawed ending."

"Ash," Sonia smiled while holding him, "before meeting you, I was an ordinary, vain Village Girl, dreaming of solving all problems through marriage, living a life as thin as paper."

"It was you who turned me into a Mage’s Handbook for the Six-winged God; you’ve given me so, so much, you’ve proven your love countless times."

"Now it’s my turn." She said: "I’ve been willful for too long... I can’t keep being willful."

"Let me be your support, okay?"

Ash remained silent, just continuously shaking his head.

"Don’t think of it as a bad thing, it’s actually liberation for me too." Sonia buried in his embrace, snuggling like she was acting spoiled: "I’m tired."

"Since you left the Kingdom of Allstars, I’ve been persistently striving. From campus dates, to Senluo travels, to the Six-winged Trial, not to mention the ever-helpful Death Mad sister, who made you lose memories of the Witches to create opportunities for me as much as possible..."

"But I still couldn’t make you devoted to me alone." Sonia tapped on Ash’s skull, "You stubborn Lala-fat just won’t budge."

"Now we’ve settled down, and our relationship has progressed. By the way, aside from me being able to fully share the Void Wings with you, the Witches still lack just a bit; they can’t smoothly borrow your Supreme Void Wings. So even for their safety, you’ll need to constantly deepen your relationship with them in the coming days..."

"See," she tilted her head, spreading her hands: "Even with self-deception, I can’t find a possibility to break you apart."

"I really want to give up, and I truly am tired."

"Since I couldn’t make you mine," Sonia showed a gentle expression, eyes full of affection, yet with hands clinging to Ash’s arm like a drowning person clutching a lifeline: "Then let me become yours."
