Chapter 1821 - 1348: The Flowing Gold Gate and Severed Bonds

Kingdom of Stars, Sword Flower University.

In the Pan Stone Training Ground, Ingrid spun like a top, leaving one clear mark after another with her dual swords on the golem-like creatures. The lower limbs of these golems were equipped with rollers, continuously approaching Ingrid. However, depending on the area and intensity of Ingrid’s attacks, the golems would respond with "displacement," "stagnation," or "slowdown" effects.

As time passed, the golems advanced closer to Ingrid, not because her combat power was declining, but because under high-intensity combat, her weapons’ sharpness diminished to a white blade level, making it impossible to sever the limbs of the golems.

The base strength of the golems was equivalent to that of a growing Fish-Slicing Dragon. Sword Masters, if unable to produce limb-severing damage, find it difficult to halt the golems’ approach with merely impact damage.

Suddenly, Ingrid crossed her swords, their edges emitting a resonant clanging sound, instantly enhancing both swords to a purple blade level. The Two-winged Technique Spirit "Polish," the One-winged Technique Spirit "Fish Scale," and the One-winged Technique Spirit "Iron Shavings," seemingly unrelated, combined to form the swordsmanship Miracle "Purple Blade Polish," capable of mutually sharpening any two swords to iron-cutting level, which was currently Ingrid’s most relied-upon miracle.

In that very second of sharpening, all the golems coincidentally gathered around. Ingrid took a deep breath, her taut thighs launching her upward, the boot stomping heavily on a golem’s head as she jumped back, escaping the encirclement. Then she crossed her swords in a whirlwind, slicing through the golems!

Crash!

As Ingrid’s dual swords broke, the golems shattered into pieces. She released the sword handles, and at this moment, a second batch of golems began to approach. She pulled out her spare sword implanted in the ground, initiating a second round of chaotic training.

Ingrid only put down her weapon once there were no complete golems left in the training room. Clicking on the Miracle Bracelet, she chose to end the training. The fallen rubble and stone shavings immediately melted into soft stone sludge, slowly crawling towards the golem’s body.

Returning to the lounge, she picked up a bottle of water and took a few sips, releasing a long breath. Belated sweat drenched her training attire, her skin flushed with a soft pink, steam rising all over her body. Stray strands of hair clung to her cheeks and neck, sticky and uncomfortable.

Ingrid once considered getting a haircut, thinking it would be more breathable, manageable, and convenient for battle. But eventually, under Adelle’s strong opposition, she left it unresolved. Although honestly, she didn’t want to cut it either. Having been around those vain roommates for so long, she’d been influenced by them to some extent.

Maybe just shorten the bangs and sides a bit...

After a quick shower and change of clothes, Ingrid left the new training building, needing to cross half the campus to the Meditation Building. The new training facility was a recent addition over the past six months, stuffed with high-end training equipment normally exclusive to Truth University. Now, in terms of equipment setup alone, Sword Flower University could rival Truth University, indicating how much sponsorship Sword Flower had obtained this year.

"Good evening, Senior."

"Are you also going to the Void Realm tonight, Senior?"

"Are you free tomorrow night, Senior?"

Every student she encountered greeted Ingrid proactively, assistants included, but none dared to pester further once Ingrid declined. Days into the semester, Ingrid gradually accustomed herself to her new role — a third-year senior.

Apart from fourth-year students either interning or descending into the Abyss, she was the most senior student at the university. Simultaneously, she was the current Sword Skill Department’s top student, Professor Trozan’s graduate student, with a record of five Abyss descents, reaching the sixth layer’s maximum adventure depth, and attaining second place in this year’s Meteor Disaster.

Previously, underclassmen would have surely dubbed her ’Sword Flower,’ and even among past generations of Sword Flowers, she ranked among the top performers. However, when the school attempted to call her Sword Flower for promotional purposes, Ingrid firmly refused, and thus no one called her Sword Flower anymore. Moreover, it’s quite possible... Sword Flower University will never have another Sword Flower.

The dormitory building was along the way, but Ingrid didn’t intent to enter, finding it empty. Currently, Lois spent most of her time outside managing the family business, while Adelle trained daily and logged into the Void Realm, leaving the dormitory mostly vacant.

It felt as if everyone had suddenly advanced to the third year, grown up in an instant, and the laughter and joy that once filled the dormitory seemed so distant, although not much time had passed... yet it was irrecoverable.

It was as if when she left, she also took away their youthful innocence.

Though they still remained here, their hearts had grown alongside her.

Entering the meditation room and just sitting cross-legged, Ingrid’s Miracle Bracelet buzzed. She opened it to find an urgent message from the Throne Hall:

"To all Two-winged Mages: A large-scale encounter event has appeared on Time Continent, proceed quickly."

Ingrid wasn’t surprised, only curious why the Throne Hall hadn’t marked distinctive features. She opened the Technique Spirit’s Gate of Truth, her consciousness connecting to the Void Realm, her soul descending on Time Continent. Upon reopening her eyes, she had arrived at the Time Continent where golden rain flowed backward.

As she looked up, she understood why the Throne Hall hadn’t provided detailed directions — it was simply too obvious.

A silver giant sword pierced the heavens, standing amidst the golden rain, visible to anyone who raised their head. Whether it was an illusion or not, today’s White Bull seemed to move exceptionally slowly. Ingrid watched attentively for dozens of seconds, without seeing its four feet undergo any apparent displacement.
