Chapter 1868 - 2: Future Echo (Part 1)

Siflin was taken aback, turned her head, and said, "Now’s not the time for a reunion."

If Ash were the central axis, then to his right sat Sonia, Diya, Weiser, Vishi, and the mysterious woman, while to his left were Freyja, Siflin, Hanna, Tamasi, and Felix.

He vaguely sensed that this seating arrangement seemed to hold a deeper meaning, but before he could ponder it, the mysterious woman suddenly asked, "Ash Heath, what were you doing before entering this place?"

"What does that have to do with you?" Diya was rather cautious: "Shouldn’t you introduce yourself first before asking questions?"

"Ash, you don’t recognize her either?" Hanna looked towards the mysterious woman, implying: "I thought everyone here was related to Ash."

Ash shook his head, Sonia said, "They are indeed related to Ash, but Ash doesn’t know her, and she knows Ash, so she very likely... has intentions towards Ash."

Now everyone scrutinized the mysterious woman suspiciously, at which point Vishi lazily remarked, "If I were you all, I’d be more respectful and courteous."

Anyone who had interacted with Vishi was quite surprised, as such a defiant Evil Mage like Vishi actually showed such reverence towards this mysterious woman?

The mysterious woman parted her crimson lips: "Have you seen me before?"

"I haven’t met you in person," Vishi glanced at her askew, but his demeanor was filled with solemnity, even caution: "But I’ve learned more or less about you through various channels, after all... you are the most ancient mage of the era, the target of countless demigods, the Dazzling Star Divine Lord."

Dazzling Star Divine Lord!

Ash and the others’ pupils contracted suddenly—the Divine Lord standing at the apex of mage civilization, ruling the Seven Heavens, was right before them!?

"Wait," Diya instantly realized a terrifying problem: "Even you are... unable to leave your seat or use magic power?"

Dazzling Star nodded slightly, however, knowing that such a formidable figure was also stuck in the same predicament didn’t make anyone happy, rather, it made their hearts sink—the power that even the Divine Lord couldn’t resist, for them who weren’t even demigods, wasn’t their fate sealed as misfortune?

"So, Ash Heath, can you tell me what you were doing before entering here?" Dazzling Star asked again.

This time Ash didn’t dare act aloof, although Dazzling Star couldn’t make a move here, once they returned outside, the thunderous wrath of the Six-winged God was not something he, a mere legendary mage, could endure.

"Before entering here..." Ash scoured his memory: "I should have been preparing for an evening date..."

"What date?" Freyja interjected.

"My first date with Sonia." Ash answered honestly: "It’s our first meeting in reality—"

"Drop the nonsense, no one’s interested in your kindergarten-level love story." Vishi spoke coldly.

Dazzling Star couldn’t be offended, but enemies like Vishi who tore faces, Ash and the others wouldn’t hold back, giving her a fierce glare, Ash then continued: "And then... I remember, I planned to use the ’Little Four Pillars Gate’, take Igula and Harvey to Ruby Mountain, and then I suddenly fell asleep, and upon waking, I was already here!"

"Little Four Pillars Gate? Taking people to Ruby Mountain?" Vishi showed a trace of curiosity, "Do The Gods of Four Pillars have such an item?"

Ash ignored her, looked towards Dazzling Star: "I only remember this much, I only know the name and usage of the Little Four Pillars Gate, hadn’t used it before."

"Hmm..." Dazzling Star pondered: "If what you say is true, one could only speculate that your Little Four Pillars Gate triggered Void Realm’s hidden mechanism, causing all of us to be transported into this space."

"Was it definitely caused by me?" Ash was a bit doubtful, "Couldn’t it be—"

"When we were transported here, everyone was awake." Diya said: "Only Ash you were sleeping, so the suspicion is high."

"But this couldn’t necessarily be Ash’s reason, right?" Sonia measured her words.

Weiser slightly frowned, questioning: "Is it really possible for Ash, a mere legendary mage, to trigger an issue in Void Realm that even the Divine Lord couldn’t counteract?"

Everyone’s gaze focused on Dazzling Star, even Vishi was the same. From their perspective, Ash simply wasn’t qualified to shoulder this suspicion, only Dazzling Star might touch upon the secrets of the Void Realm, bridging the gap between earth and Heaven, gathering them all together.

Even Dazzling Star wasn’t very certain, after all, she had already fallen asleep, her consciousness attached to "Felix’s Shadow" Filly, leveraging Fate’s Wonder to advance Angel Hunt. Suddenly being drawn here, no one was more surprised than her, she even somewhat suspected it was a counterattack by the Source Angel.

At this moment, the huge copper plate book in the center of the round table suddenly glowed gold and floated mid-air, then flew towards Ash. Ash hesitated for a moment, opened the book, and began speaking:

"Congratulations, everyone, on participating in ’Future Echoes’, the rules of this Future Echoes event will be read by Ash Heath."

"First, at the strong request of the Drama Poet, these rules emphasize: ’Future Echoes’ has nothing to do with the Drama Poet, please don’t vent your anger unjustly."

"Second, ’Future Echoes’ consists of two phases: the Introduction Phase and the Voting Phase."

"During the Introduction Phase, each candidate must read aloud their key information about the future, these rules solemnly promise that no one can falsify during the Introduction Phase, all recorded information is true, everyone can trust accordingly."
