Hanna pressed her hands against the edge of the desk, arms squeezing her chest, making the two soft mounds even more pronounced. "I heard... is there going to be a big personnel reshuffle soon?"
"Your information is way too up-to-date!" Ash laughed. "In a few days, it’ll be finalized, and soon you’ll be busy. Our company is going to recruit a lot of people."
"But I’m not very satisfied with my current position," Hanna said. "I want to... challenge myself with some more valuable work."
"Hmm—" Ash folded his arms across his chest, his expression a bit conflicted. "I’ll consider it, but don’t get your hopes up too much because I’ve already got someone in mind."
"You know, an answer like that could already count as a hint at unwritten rules." Hanna reached out to caress Ash’s hand, the corners of her mouth slightly upturned. "If I had a recorder, you’d be waiting for your downfall."
Ash blinked. "But you do have a recorder."
"Of course." Hanna pulled out a recorder from her wrist. "I’m very careful about protecting myself to avoid accidentally getting taken advantage of by my boss without any evidence to extort him."
"But, do you want to apply some unwritten rules with me?" She leaned closer to Ash, lightly parting her rosy lips, her eyes filled with allure. "For my future, I can do anything, like..."
She flipped her right hand over, revealing a gift. "Make you some Valentine’s Day chocolates."
"Thank you." Ash accepted it without hesitation: "Why are you giving me chocolates this year?"
"Why not? It’s a bribe that doesn’t cost money or time, why not enjoy it?" Hanna smiled slightly, looked at him seriously for a while, and picked up his cup as she left: "You’re not drinking it?"
"No, I drank half of it, and I feel clear-headed enough."
"What a waste." Hanna finished the remaining coffee of Ash’s in one gulp, her voice slightly low. "I actually quite like this bitter taste, it’s clear enough, deep enough... but you seem more suited to the flavor of Geisha coffee, I’ll brew it for you next time."
"Sure." Ash smiled, "But I still think none of them compares to cola."
"No taste." Hanna snorted, pushed the door and left, just in time to see Tamasi coming in.
The two exchanged a glance, and Hanna smirked, patting Tamasi’s shoulder and whispering with a laugh, "Good luck."
Ash looked up to see a masked Tamasi, asking in confusion, "What’s up? Is the equipment broken or something?"
"No, nothing’s wrong in the studio." Tamasi quickly shook her head.
"Then..."
Tamasi remained silent for several seconds, then suddenly took off her mask, revealing a stunningly beautiful face. She took out a box of chocolates, clearly store-bought, placed it on the table, then took a deep breath, her neck tinted with a faint blush, and said boldly, "Happy Valentine’s Day, Ash."
"...Thank you." Ash blinked, tentatively asking, "Is there... anything else?"
"Nope!"
Tamasi met his gaze with a gentle smile. "Let’s box together next time!"
"Sure."
Just like her usual outfit of flat shoes, jeans, and a jacket, Tamasi had a straightforward and uncomplicated personality, without any unnecessary embellishments. She left the office as soon as she finished speaking, as if she really came just to give chocolates.
Or perhaps for her and Ash, the mere act of giving chocolates was enough to convey all the unsaid words.
Ash felt his mind turning to mush, a bit at a loss. He rubbed his temples, deciding to go to the restroom to wash his face and calm down. As he opened the door to the men’s restroom, someone suddenly pushed him into a stall.
"Shh."
A tall woman with double ponytails pressed Ash against the panel. She had one foot lodged between his legs, and they were almost flush against each other. Ash could even feel her breath on his cheek, her plush thighs, slender waist, all compressed into a mesmerizing silhouette through touch alone, underneath her smart suit.
"Vishi!? What are you—"
"Take this."
Vishi shoved a box of gifts into his hand. Ash glanced at it and was stunned; it was the same brand as the one Tamasi had given him. He was puzzled. "You attacked me in the restroom just to give me chocolates? Couldn’t it have been done in my office?"
"Are you dumb? If someone else saw us, where would I put my face?" Vishi rolled her eyes. "Do you want them or not?"
"I feel like if I say no, you’ll dunk my head in the toilet."
"Good, you know it." Vishi snorted. "Since you’ve accepted them, that means you’re choosing—"
Just then, a few people walked into the restroom. Vishi immediately fell silent, and the two hid inside the stall without moving. They thought it wouldn’t take long, but it seemed to be the time before work when they slacked off, not leaving at all and starting to smoke instead.
"Are you logging in tonight for the Valentine’s Day event?"
"I’ve got Valentine’s Day plans offline, unlike you with so much free time."
"How dare you humiliate me, I’ll take you down!"
"You should also find a girlfriend offline, doesn’t your finance department have lots of beauties?"
"No chance, they all have boyfriends."
"Not a single one left?"
"Not a single one left!"
"No way, the best-looking one in the finance department definitely doesn’t have a boyfriend, why not try? (laughs)"
