Perhaps I spent a few minutes looking at each word on my status screen, as they represented a massive leap in power, even for someone like me.

I tried not to stare at the section for the Moon Fox

I had a new Legendary Title, which I believed would pair up nicely with my new Celestial ability and first Sovereign Tier skill.

My growth had always been insane, and I had leaped from the beginning of the Arcanist Tier to its peak in the blink of an eye under the infusion of Celestial Essence from the Demon Slayer Title.

Most of my skills, spells, and Resonances had taken a leap forward, especially my Fire Resonance, which grew all the way from Acolyte to Adept in a single bound, just from watching a Sovereign of Flame battle a Demon God.

Perhaps I was the only Arcanist in the world that could claim they could watch such a battle and come out unscathed.

Still, I felt I could have gained more benefits from this battle, but my channels again had that faint sense of fullness. Purifying my soul had loosened the seal I had over my Resonance, but it had faintly filled up again after I pushed my Fire Resonance to Adept.

Also, I was sure that the growth in Death Resonance and Space Resonance had played a part in pushing my channels to the limit, especially space.

I marveled at my growth, and I began to realize how impossible my transformation must be for a normal mage.

An average Arcanist had twenty-eight primary channels; that was it. Perhaps at the Sovereign level, the restrictions over channels might become reduced, but it meant that for nearly all mages, the attunement element they chose mattered a lot, since it meant they were locked to a particular field of magic for life.

As mages, we were capable of wielding all elements and other occultic forces, but without a resonance for a particular field, we would not enjoy all the benefits of mastering an element or any magical field.

I was primarily a lightning mage, but I was gaining resistance to many fields of magic, and if I cast any spell from most elemental branches of magic, I would match any mage specialized in that field of magic.

I don’t know how far my channels would aid me in this fight, but I knew that the experiment by the Hollow Avatar and my insistence on using the Loop to my advantage had laid the foundation for something unprecedented.

I now had several additions to my status screen, as I had a new Celestial Status: Archangel. Even when I focused on this designation, my status screen refused to spit out any description.

It would seem that to truly gain the knowledge of what all of this meant, I would have to find someone to explain it to me... the Jade Oracle. There was no one else I knew in the entire world who would be able to explain everything that was happening to me.

When I focused on the next part showing my Warden status, I was surprised when another screen leaped out, revealing more details about it.

[ WARDENSHIP — CAELITH MOURNE (243^235)]

[ Authority: CONFIRMED — Provisional ]

[Containment Status — access denied]

[ Structural Command — access denied ]

[ Prisoner Registry — access denied ]

[ Seal Integrity (7) — access denied]

[Warden Archive — access denied]

[ Provisional Wardens may not access structural functions. ]

[ Full access requires: Whole Celestial State. ]

Interesting... nothing here was accessible to me, and that made it frustrating, as I was looking at a feast of knowledge into great mysteries, but I had no way to dig them out.

What was important was that I now had bonded to a Caelith, and this changed everything. I may not need to fight the Sovereign or the Pale Matron yet, if I could keep her suppressed in her prison, or better yet, if I could get access to one Caelith, then was it not possible to get access to others?

In fact, this prison was a Celestial Structure too. Could I interface with it and gain control over it?

This line of thought was intensely exciting, but I pushed down my wild thoughts and closed the status screen as I sat in the silence of the room. The Inscriptions on the walls glowed faintly, as if waiting for me to read them.

As much as it would interest me to explore this whole new world, I had to take things step by step, and the first thing I needed to learn was crucial, and that was bringing together all the fragments of lightning I know, in order to create a unique law of lightning.

I believed that if I could do this, then the barrier holding back a lot of my skills from reaching the Sovereign Tier would be broken, and my powers would explode.

In the silence, I contemplated my paths, my fading scars, and the memories that would not leave my head. It was time to learn, and after I was done, plunge back into the madness.

Whatever reason why I was chosen for this fate, to be the one who would witness all this atrocities, and see the world I know end over and over again, I do not know, but I know that I would not stop, not until those who are responsible for all of this pay the price... this I swear on all the souls of the innocents being butchered across an entire continent.

I will rise as a being of lightning and judgement, and I will show no mercy to the wicked.
