Meanwhile, after spending time with the visiting families, Devara decided to take Gandhari somewhere that held a special place in his heart.

Rather than remaining inside the palace with all the celebrations and relatives constantly surrounding her,

He wanted to take her to the Trinetra Tandaveshwara Temple, an ancient temple that he had visited countless times.

The temple was primarily dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the magnificent shrine of Trinetra Tandaveshwara stood at its centre.

However, Devara had made sure that the temple complex also contained sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma.

To him, the Trimurtis were not separate from one another, and whenever he visited the temple, he would offer his prayers to all three.

Gandhari walked beside him as they entered the temple grounds, while the temple bells rang softly above them.

The familiar smell of incense filled the air, mixing with the fragrance of flowers that devotees had offered at the entrance.

Devara slowed down as they approached the main shrine.

Gandhari smiled.

"I’m glad you brought me here."

Devara gently took her hand.

"Today, I want them to bless us."

The temple priest was already waiting for them.

Once the royal couple entered the inner part of the temple, he began the rituals with the traditional offerings.

Sacred water was brought forward, lamps were lit before the deity and flowers were offered while the priest recited the appropriate mantras.

Devara stood beside Gandhari with his hands folded, while she followed the rituals respectfully.

After completing the prayers to Trinetra Tandaveshwara, the priest led them toward the shrines of Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma.

Devara once again bowed before each deity, and Gandhari followed him.

The priest then blessed the couple.

"May Mahadev, Narayana and Brahma Dev protect both of you. May the queen’s pregnancy proceed safely, and may the child growing within her be blessed with good health, wisdom and a long life."

Devara bowed his head.

"May it be so."

Gandhari quietly placed her hands together.

"Thank you."

The priest then brought the sacred prasad and placed it into their hands.

Devara accepted his portion before carefully taking Gandhari’s as well.

As they stepped away from the shrine, Gandhari looked at him.

"You really wanted to receive blessings from all three of them today."

Devara smiled.

"Of course. You are carrying our child. I’m not going to take any chances."

Gandhari laughed softly.

"You have faced armies without hesitation, but now you are worried about every little thing."

Devara looked at her with complete seriousness.

"An army is easier to deal with."

Gandhari couldn’t help laughing again.

Devara smiled and gently placed his hand over hers as they continued walking through the temple.

For him, bringing Gandhari here wasn’t simply another ritual.

He wanted the blessings of the divine parents he revered, not only for himself, but for the woman he loved and the child who would soon become another part of their family.

Meanwhile, back inside the royal palace, the atmosphere had become considerably less serious.

The Kauravas and Pandavas had somehow ended up gathered together in the royal gardens, where Devara’s wife Lata, one of his Apsara sisters, had decided that the children needed something more entertaining than simply being taken around the kingdom and listening to the adults talk.

She had proposed a game of hide-and-seek.

At first, the children had looked at her as though the game were far too simple for them.

That attitude disappeared the moment Lata leaned closer and said,

"The side that wins will receive a surprise from me."

That single sentence was enough to turn the simple children’s game into a matter of great importance.

The rules were straightforward.

The Kauravas would hide somewhere within the enormous royal gardens,

While the Pandavas would have to find every single one of them.

If the Pandavas managed to locate all the Kauravas before the time ran out, they would win.

But the Kauravas had an easier condition.

They didn’t have to find anyone.

They simply had to remain hidden.

If even one Kaurava managed to stay hidden until the game ended, the Kauravas would be declared the winners.

Naturally, the Kauravas immediately became confident.

"There’s no way they are going to find all of us," one of them declared.

Bhima immediately crossed his arms.

"We’ll find every one of you."

Duryodhana gave him a challenging look.

"Then try."

Arjuna smiled.

"We’ll see who wins."

Lata stood between the two groups, trying not to laugh at how seriously the children were taking the game.

"Remember, no pushing, no climbing anything dangerous and no leaving the garden. Apart from that, you may hide wherever you like."

The Kauravas immediately scattered.

Within moments, the royal garden that had been filled with children became strangely quiet.

Duryodhana hurried toward one section of the garden with a few of his brothers, while the others split up and searched for hiding places of their own.

Some slipped behind large bushes, others hid between decorative structures,

While a few decided that climbing into the branches of the enormous trees would make them nearly impossible to find.

The Pandavas were forced to remain at the starting point until Lata gave them permission to begin.

Bhima looked increasingly impatient.

"Can we start now?"

"Not yet,"

Lata replied with a smile on her face.

"Now?"

Bhima sighed.

Yudhishthira laughed softly.

"Be patient, Bhima."

Finally, after giving the Kauravas enough time to disappear, Lata raised her hand.

"Ready?"

The Pandavas nodded.

"Go!"

The five brothers immediately scattered through the gardens.

Yudhishthira moved carefully, paying attention to places where someone might naturally choose to hide.

Bhima went directly toward the thickest bushes, convinced that at least one of the Kauravas would be hiding there.

Arjuna looked toward the trees.

Nakula checked behind the decorative stone structures.

Sahadeva quietly observed the garden, already trying to determine where someone would choose to hide if they knew the others were searching.

Meanwhile, somewhere deep inside the gardens, the Kauravas were trying their best not to laugh.

One of them had covered his mouth with both hands to stop himself from making a sound.

Another was lying completely flat behind a flowerbed.

And somewhere high above them, one particularly confident Kaurava was hiding in the branches of a large tree, watching the Pandavas search below.

The game had begun.

And with a surprise promised to the winners, neither side had any intention of giving up easily.

The Pandavas spread out through the royal gardens, searching every place they could think of.

What had started as a simple game had quickly turned into a serious competition, especially after Lata reminded them that the Kauravas would win if even one of them managed to remain hidden until the end.

Arjuna soon became one of the most important players on their side.

He had a sharp eye and, unlike Bhima, who preferred searching places where he thought someone would obviously hide, Arjuna paid attention to the smaller details.

A disturbed patch of soil, a broken flower stem, footprints that disappeared suddenly, even the faintest movement behind a tree was enough to make him suspicious.

"Wait,"

Arjuna suddenly said.

Bhima, who had been searching behind a large stone structure, turned around.

"What did you find?"

Arjuna pointed toward a narrow path between two bushes.

"Someone came through here recently. Look at those leaves."

Yudhishthira walked over and examined them.

"You’re right."

The brothers followed the trail, and after searching for a few moments, they finally discovered one of the Kauravas hiding behind a large flowering bush.

"Found you!"

The boy groaned.

"That isn’t fair!"

Bhima laughed.

"Why isn’t it fair? You were hiding!"

The Kaurava reluctantly came out of his hiding place and joined the others who had already been caught.

The search continued.

Arjuna’s observations repeatedly helped his brothers discover hiding places that would otherwise have been easy to miss.

Nakula and Sahadeva also proved surprisingly good at searching, while Yudhishthira kept the group organized instead of allowing everyone to run around randomly.

Little by little, more Kauravas were found.

Some were discovered behind trees, others beneath the shade of decorative structures, and a few were caught because they couldn’t resist whispering to one another while hiding.

Eventually, the number of hidden Kauravas became smaller and smaller.

But several of them were proving much harder to find.

Suyodhana, Dushasana and Vikarna were still somewhere within the enormous gardens, along with a few of their brothers.

The Pandavas had already searched several sections twice, yet none of them had been found.

Bhima wiped his forehead.

"Where are they hiding?"

Arjuna looked around carefully.

"They’re still here."

"How do you know?"

"If they had left the garden, Queen Lata would have stopped the game. So they must still be somewhere nearby."

Yudhishthira nodded.

"Then we just have to search more carefully."

Meanwhile, hidden somewhere in the garden, Suyodhana was doing everything possible not to make a sound.

He had chosen an excellent hiding place, and for the moment, the Pandavas had walked past him several times without noticing anything.

Dushasana was hiding elsewhere, equally pleased with himself.

Vikarna, however, was beginning to wonder whether staying hidden was actually worth the effort.

He could hear the Pandavas getting closer.

Still, he remained perfectly still.

The game had now reached its final stage.

The Pandavas had found most of the Kauravas.

But if even one of the remaining few managed to stay hidden, the Kauravas would still claim victory.

And neither side was willing to give up.
