Ronan landed in the center of the courtyard, the silvery light from the Moonstone fading around his silhouette.

Around him, total chaos had broken out. Francis was practically screaming obscenities at his commanders and guards for failing to stop Ronan’s blitz.

"You fool!" Francis spat, glaring at Ronan with bloodshot eyes. "You think you’ve won something by dragging those pests away? You forgot whose hands your brothers’ lives still lie in!"

Cesar stepped forward from behind Ronan, his hands raised in desperate supplication as he looked at the tyrant. "Father, please... stop this!"

Francis froze, staring at his son in disbelief.

"Why are you pushing it this far?!" Cesar begged, his voice trembling, not out of a desire to save his father from justice, but from the horrifying realization that Francis had lost his mind entirely. "The whole world saw what you did! The packs are turning on us! Stop this madness before there’s nothing left of our family to save!"

"Shut up! Don’t be a coward! The packs are still under my absolute control!" Francis snarled, his face contorting into a violent scowl. He turned toward the dark witch with an evil smirk. "Molly, finish Lucien now!"

A dozen dark witches surged forward to bind Ronan, but the radiant power of the Moonstone rendered their hexes useless.

With a roar, Ronan shifted into his massive wolf form, his ancient aura crushing the ambient dark magic. Seeing his father’s madness, Cesar didn’t hesitate, he shifted into his dark grey wolf and charged alongside Ronan.

Working in lethal unison, the two wolves tore through the dark coven. Within moments, they brought the witches to their knees, leaving most critically injured and unable to cast.

Suddenly, a choked scream echoed across the stones. Molly had bypassed the fighting, sinking her fingers into a dark spell aimed directly at Lucien’s chest to crush his heart. Bound by the magic, Lucien thrashing helplessly as the pressure built inside him.

Before Ronan could reach him, a wave of elite wolf commanders swarmed the plaza, cutting off his path to Lucien.

’Ronan, save Lucien! If his heart ruptures, his wolf will go berserk! I’ll hold off the commanders.’ Cesar mindlinked, throwing his heavy frame into the frontline of incoming royal guards.

Before Ronan could shift back into his human form, more from the army attacked him.

Kieran, drawing on every drop of his Alpha strength, violently tore his wrists free from the silver chains. His flesh charred and smoked from the silver burn, but he ignored the searing agony completely. Launching himself forward, Kieran slammed into Molly with full force, throwing her on the ground.

Her concentration shattered, snapping the death curse instantly. Lucien collapsed to his knees, his chest heaving as he gasped for air, his dark magic finally surging back to life.

"You’re dead," Molly spat at Kieran, her fingers clamping around his throat like an iron vise. Her eyes gleamed a sickening, dark green as black energy surged through her body, suffocating him.

Seeing his brother on the brink of death triggered something traumatic inside Lucien. The memory of his father dying the exact same way at the hands of dark magic shattered his remaining control.

"Let go of my brother!" Lucien roared as he shifted.

The thunderous howl of his giant dark wolf vibrated through the stone floorboards, shaking the very walls of the palace. Every warrior in the ground froze in place, paralyzed by the pressure of his Alpha aura.

Moving like a lightning, Lucien’s wolf lunged at Molly. In one snap of his massive jaws, he tore her head completely off her shoulders.

Kieran collapsed to the cobblestones with a thud, gasping for air as Molly’s headless body crumpled to the ground.

Without pausing, Lucien turned his blood-red eyes on the remaining forces. He launched himself into the ranks of the enemy with lightning speed.

A wave of terror swept across the entire palace ground as he tore through every commander and guard in his path, leaving a trail of carnage in his wake.

Cesar and Ronan shifted back to human form, breathing heavily amidst the carnage.

Across the palace ground, Francis saw his army obliterated and turned to flee toward the inner palace gates.

"You’re not getting away!" Cesar growled, sprinting after his father to cut off his escape route.

Meanwhile, Lucien was still tearing through the remaining royal guards, his monstrous black wolf consumed by pure, berserk fury.

Ronan dashed into his brother’s path, placing himself directly between Lucien’s deadly fangs and the terrified, retreating guards.

"Lucien, stop! It’s over!" Ronan pleaded, holding his hands up as the silver light of the Moonstone flared around him. "Look around you! The witches are dead! Francis is running! Don’t let the monster take control, stop it!"

Lucien’s wolf didn’t listen, taking a menacing step forward as a low growl vibrated through him.

"Lucien... stop," Kieran’s ragged voice called out from behind.

Limping heavily on a severely burned leg, Kieran dragged himself toward his brothers. "You aren’t this. Look at me... I’m fine. Nothing happened to me. And Leia is safe. She’s waiting for us."

"Yes," Ronan added softly, taking another careful step closer to the towering beast. "I moved her and the others to safety, Lucien. She’s unhurt."

Hearing Kieran’s voice and learning that Leia was entirely out of danger pierced through the fog of his berserk rage. Lucien’s blood-red eyes flickered, his massive pupils gradually dilating back to their normal shade as the tension in his giant frame finally began to ease.

The next second, Lucien shifted back to his human form as he pulled both of his brothers into a tight embrace. Ronan and Kieran wrapped their arms around him just as fiercely, holding onto their elder brother.

"It’s over," Kieran exhaled against Lucien’s shoulder. "We’re all safe."

Pulling away, Lucien immediately cupped Kieran’s face with trembling hands, checking him over for any severe wounds.

He gently wiped away the spatters of dark blood from Kieran’s cheek, his gaze falling on the charred flesh surrounding his wrists where the silver chains had burned down to the bone.

"I’m fine, Lucien," Kieran reassured him, offering a weak smile despite the pain.

"I’m sorry," Lucien said, his voice thick with remorse as he stared at the burn marks. "Forgive me... I should have planned better. I should never have let Francis put you in those chains."
