Martial Arts: I Have a Wilderness World
Chapter 661 - 336: Rules Established; The BlueprintChapter 661: Chapter 336: Rules Established; The Blueprint
He expanded upon his drafted ideas, working within the permissions granted by the Ring Spirit to refine and supplement the rules. His main focus was on defining the detailed functions for sacrifices, the Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal, and Points.
The most crucial among these were sacrifices and the Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal.
These two were his highest priorities. For the Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal, he haggled with the Ring Spirit and managed to add a personal storage space.
He made use of the independent space on the Third Level of the Hall of Ten Thousand Races.
Originally, rooms could be established in the Third Level’s independent space for him and his Soul Slaves to live in, at a cost of 10 Points per person each month.
After his discussion with the Ring Spirit, he borrowed this independent space to create the storage space for the Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal.
Each person who bound the seal could choose whether to activate this function—for a fee, of course.
While this feature would consume a massive amount of his Points as the user base grew, it granted him control over these storage spaces.
This way, if anyone bound to a Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal died within the Realm of Ten Thousand Races, their Soul would be automatically collected and allocated by the Ring Spirit. Furthermore, the Spirit Stones in their Spirit Seal and the items in their storage space would all revert to him.
Of course, he also modified the method for automatically sacrificing the corpses of Cultivators who died within the Realm of Ten Thousand Races.
They would no longer be automatically sacrificed upon death. Instead, a corpse would only be sacrificed if it was buried within the grounds of the Realm of Ten Thousand Races, or if it was left unattended for seven days.
This would reduce unnecessary trouble and prevent needless panic. Their Souls, however, would still be sacrificed immediately.
Next, based on the rules he had established, Cheng Zongyang began to imagine how an ordinary person might progress after entering the Realm of Ten Thousand Races.
---
Xiaoming came from a family of four, with parents and a younger brother. Life in the Cultivation Immortality Realm was harsh, so at the age of fifteen, he said goodbye to his family and followed a group into the Realm of Ten Thousand Races, hoping to find opportunities and earn Spirit Stones.
Upon entering the Realm of Ten Thousand Races, he automatically received a small booklet, a physical manifestation of the realm’s rules. It detailed the code of conduct within the Realm of Ten Thousand Races, regulations for bringing items in and out, rules for altar sacrifices, the system for the Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal and its binding options, the method for automatically acquiring Points, and the regulations for safe zones.
As long as he thoroughly memorized and understood these rules, he could freely seek his fortune within the Realm of Ten Thousand Races.
With only thirty Spirit Crystals to his name, Xiaoming chose to bind the Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal. Upon doing so, he received a bronze-colored Token. The front of the Token bore an indecipherable rune, while the back had the four words "Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal." There were no other markings. It was very simple.
The moment he received the Token, a message appeared in his mind:
First Grade Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal: Spirit Stones: 0/100, Points: 0/100, Storage Space: (Not Activated)
Completely baffled by this information, Xiaoming immediately flipped through the booklet in his hand to read the rules about the Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal.
He then understood that Points were also a form of currency. He had none, of course, and the numbers in the parentheses indicated the storage limit for a First Grade Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal.
To store more Spirit Stones and Points, he would have to upgrade the Spirit Seal’s Grade.
By reading the booklet, Xiaoming also learned that each Level had a different storage limit and that a Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal above the Third Grade came with additional benefits and permissions.
As for the storage space, he learned that it functioned just like a Storage Pouch but was more concealed, being integrated directly into the Token. Even a mortal like him, not a Cultivator, could use it freely without worrying about it being lost or forcibly opened if stolen.
One of the Spirit Seal’s features was that even if lost, no one could access it without being the owner or having the owner’s authorization. He could also recall the lost Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal at any time.
This effectively put a major damper on the business of robbers and thieves.
The only catch was that activating the storage space required a monthly fee of ten Spirit Stones. The higher the Grade of the Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal, the larger the space and, naturally, the higher the fee. But compared to its concealment and anti-theft features, the cost wasn’t high.
Xiaoming read with great focus, his heart filled with yearning.
But the further he read, he saw that upgrading the Grade required a huge amount of Spirit Stones and Points—numbers he couldn’t even fathom. The benefits, however, were also correspondingly greater.
He also noticed that Points were the only thing that couldn’t be traded. They could only be spent on healing beds or exchanged for Cultivation Techniques, Magical Treasures, Spirit Stones, and Elixirs. Of course, exchanging Points for better items required a correspondingly High Grade Spirit Seal.
After Xiaoming spent over an hour getting a basic understanding of all the rules in the booklet, he deposited the thirty Spirit Crystals he was carrying into his Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal.
From now on, he wouldn’t need to carry physical Spirit Crystals. He could just touch his Spirit Seal to another and transfer them with a thought, without fear of loss. If he ever needed the physical currency, he could withdraw the actual Spirit Crystals, which was extremely convenient.
’As for the storage space, I don’t have the money to activate it right now. That can wait.’
To quickly earn Spirit Stones and Points, Xiaoming began searching for items to sacrifice. The most common and effective method for ordinary people was to find gold and silver in the outside world and bring them into the Realm of Ten Thousand Races to be sacrificed.
According to the sacrifice rules, sacrificing ten taels of Gold would yield five Spirit Crystals or one Point. Sacrificing a hundred taels of silver would yield the same: five Spirit Crystals or one Point.
These Spirit Crystals and Points would be automatically deposited into his Ten Thousand Races Spirit Seal, so there was no fear of losing them.
Of course, getting robbed was still a possibility. After all, if someone held a blade to your neck and demanded you transfer Spirit Stones between Spirit Seals, how could you refuse?
After three months of hard work, Xiaoming gave up on mining gold and silver and joined others in a task more suited for common folk: searching for Medicinal Materials.
The reason was that gold and silver mining was almost completely monopolized by various factions. Unaffiliated individuals had little to no chance, unless they could discover a new source on their own. But that was obviously impossible for one person to do.
Only tasks like searching for Medicinal Materials, looking for Divine Statue Crystal Stones in Divine Temples, or seeking the as-yet-unfound Five Elements Spirit Pearls had a lower barrier to entry.
Carrying a basket on his back, he weaved through the mountain forests, carefully searching for any plant that might have value.
Through a year of hard work, Xiaoming obtained twenty-six Spirit Stones and thirteen Points by sacrificing hundred-year-old Mortal Level Medicinal Materials and one ten-year-old Spirit Medicine.
He also teamed up to ambush and kill Exotic Beasts, and by sacrificing his share of the Exotic Beast Flesh and Blood, he earned another seven Spirit Stones and two Points.
He was also hired by a faction to help excavate the ruins of a County Town, earning ten Spirit Stones from them.
In a single year, relying only on his own two hands, he had earned a total of forty-three Spirit Stones and fifteen Points. His father couldn’t make that much in a year in the outside world.
But living within the Realm of Ten Thousand Races also required spending Spirit Crystals and Spirit Stones. Even by scrimping and saving, he only managed to put away twenty Spirit Stones after a year.
He took ten of them home, making his parents overjoyed. Afterward, he spent one Spirit Stone to have his aptitude tested. He discovered he had no Spirit Root but possessed Five Spirit Bones. Gritting his teeth, he spent fifteen Points to exchange for a Lower Three Grades Martial Arts Technique and five accompanying sets of Medicinal Materials for Body Refining Medicine, setting him on the path of Entering the Dao through Martial Arts.
Thanks to his excellent Martial Arts aptitude and the help of the Body Refining Medicine Bath, Xiaoming’s Martial Arts Realm advanced with incredible speed. As his strength grew, so did his confidence to hunt Exotic Beasts, allowing him to sacrifice them and earn even more Spirit Stones and Points.
If he got injured while hunting, he had to return to a safe zone and spend Points on treatment, which was a net loss. The only solution was to strengthen his own cultivation and get injured less often.
Everything was moving toward a positive cycle.
Xiaoming knew his destiny had changed. And it was all thanks to the rules and opportunities within the Realm of Ten Thousand Races.
(Heh, I’m tempted to write a whole novel based on this concept!)
---
Cheng Zongyang opened his eyes. He knew that with the six rules he had established, there would be countless ordinary, low-level people like Xiaoming who would be able to rise up and change their fates.
But all of this was ultimately for the development of the Realm of Ten Thousand Races. And in these early stages, he too needed vast amounts of Spirit Stones and Points.
Cheng Zongyang stood up, left the room, and walked out onto the corridor, gazing at the distant Yu Sea.
He knew that with the discovery of the passage, he had to accelerate his plans and alter his original development strategy. He needed to continuously refine these rules to ensure the stable growth of the Realm of Ten thousand Races.
At the same time, he had to closely monitor the developments in both the Cultivation Immortality Realm and the Martial Arts Realm, ready to adjust his strategy at a moment’s notice. His goal was to bring the Martial Arts Realm, the Cultivation Immortality Realm, and the Realm of Ten Thousand Races all under his control!
His decision made, Cheng Zongyang turned, went back into his room, and began formulating the rules for Territory Number Two.
