Chen Hui gritted his teeth. Tears flowed down his twisted face.

“How could you kill Lord Yun Ao? How could you let Lord Netherworld Master down? You even framed Lord Cang Li and the others of betraying the sect and stole their cultivation. You are the true traitor here! I’ll slaughter you! I’ll slaughter you!!!”

He tried to struggle to his feet but to no avail, so he could only roar in anger.

Dongfang Hansong stiffened up, and his eyes reddened.

“Don’t you get it, Hui’er? I am your real father. I am the reason you were cared for and nurtured by the Netherworld Sect and Lord Yun Ao. You only became the man you are today because of me! Everything I did, killing Yun Ao and making a move against Lord Netherworld Master’s son, isn't for me but you!” Dongfang Hansong said as he walked up to Chen Hui.

There was a flash of cold light.

A God Armament saber sliced down on Dongfang Hansong.

Unguarded and weakened, Dongfang Hansong’s reaction was much slower than usual. He failed to dodge the attack, and the saber tore into his chest, leaving a bloody wound.

Chen Hui took Xiahou Jue’s treasure, but he hesitated. Baili Xukong also wanted Chu Feng dead because of his son. He doubted that Baili Xukong would be willing to help Chu Feng even after learning the truth.

“Don’t worry, Lord Baili Xukong and I are loyal to Lord Netherworld Master. Besides, who else can you rely on right now other than Lord Baili Xukong?” Xiahou Jue said.

Even stronger oppressive might crushed down on Xiahou Jue and Chen Hui. Dongfang Hansong had raised his cultivation to rank six Heavenly God level. But he soon narrowed his eyes in shock.

“It’s a good thing I learned this secret skill, or else I’d have lost my life here. I was planning to use it against Xianhai Yu’er; I didn’t expect to use it against you. However, this is much more worthwhile. At least I’m fighting for Lord Netherworld Master right now!”

Xiahou Jue hurled out a punch, his martial power morphing into a beam of blood-red light.

Dongfang Hansong quickly employed a defensive martial skill, but the blood-red light still knocked him back and pinned him against the palace wall.

“Hold on, Lord Xiahou Jue!” Chen Hui shouted.

Seeing Xiahou Jue activate a secret skill that would result in his death to protect Chu Feng, Chen Hui’s hesitation disappeared. He activated the treasure he had received from Xiahou Jue and dashed out of the palace.

“You’re courting death!”

Dongfang Hansong pulled out a God Armament spear and unleashed a barrage of attacks.

In response, Xiahou Jue fought back with his God Armament saber.

A brief series of clashes followed. Dongfang Hansong failed to inflict any damage on Xiahou Jue, let alone kill the latter. Instead, a roundhouse kick from Xiahou Jue slammed him into the palace wall.

Blood wouldn’t stop spurting from Dongfang Hansong’s mouth as he slid down the wall. He had sustained considerable damage.

“Hahahaha! That’s all you amount to, Dongfang Hansong!” Xiahou Jue laughed heartily.

Dongfang Hansong should have been stronger than Xiahou Jue, especially since the latter had barely raised his cultivation to rank six Heavenly God level using a secret skill. However, he had sustained severe injuries from Chu Feng earlier, resulting in his weakening.

After mocking Dongfang Hansong, Xiahou Jue turned to Chu Feng and his smile vanished. Awkwardness loomed between them, especially for Xiahou Jue. He could have never imagined that the person he had been trying to kill was actually their young master.

But he made no attempt to explain himself. Instead, he put his emotions under control before asking with a grin, “How did I do, young master?”

“Not bad,” Chu Feng replied.

He was feeling conflicted as well. He had already placed Xiahou Jue into his kill list, but upon learning that his grandfather was the Netherworld Master whom the Netherworld Sect was loyal to, his perception of the Netherworld Sect changed.

Xiahou Jue harbored a deep grudge against Chu Feng, but upon learning about his true identity, he didn’t hesitate to put his life on the line to protect Chu Feng.

While Chu Feng had no mercy for his opponents, he also reciprocated the goodwill that others showed him.

“Guard your Netherworld Embryo. Don’t let its energy seep out. You still have a chance to survive this,” Chu Feng advised.

Xiahou Jue stiffened up. Tears glistened in his blood-red eyes.

Chu Feng’s concern struck deep into his heart. He remembered the care and concern that the Netherworld Master had shown him back then.

“Young master, my life belongs to Lord Netherworld Master. I wasn’t able to repay him, so I’ll offer my life to you instead.” Xiahou Jue brandished his God Armament saber and charged at Dongfang Hansong once more.
