Stepping out of his hotel, Luke didn't have a specific destination in mind, so he just followed the flow of the bustling New York crowds.

As he drifted down the streets, he noticed a sudden, drastic shift in the surrounding aesthetic. People in bizarre costumes and colorful wigs were walking down the sidewalks, posing for photos.

Looking toward where the crowd was heading, Luke spotted the massive banners for a Comic-Con. He instantly knew what was going on. Bored and curious, he wandered over and found himself surrounded by incredibly detailed cosplayers.

Even though the technological baseline of the Marvel Universe was higher than his original world, the pop culture landscape wasn't that different. He could spot plenty of his childhood memories walking around right here.

Over there was a certain mushroom-eating plumber, though his princess seemed to have eloped with the evil dragon. Nearby, two muscular guys dressed up as the hardcore commandos from Contra, holding toy assault rifles and flexing in aggressively macho poses.

Luke was pleasantly surprised to see that these classics still existed in this universe. Joining the other photographers, he snapped a few pictures of the iconic characters as he slowly made his way deeper into the convention center.

Stepping onto the main convention floor, Luke felt like he had walked into a crossover fever dream. In one corner, a Transformer was engaged in a mock battle with Godzilla, while over in another, Harley Quinn and Batman were striking surprisingly affectionate couple poses.

Chuckling at the absolute disregard for canon, Luke eagerly snapped photos of everyone.

"Looks like the two worlds aren't completely different after all."

Luke continued his exploration of the convention, eager to see what other surprises awaited. Compared to the domestic conventions he used to see online in his past life, which mostly focused on highly attractive anime characters, this western convention featured a massive variety of globally popular, often monstrous or heavily armored characters. Not that he minded; popularity was what mattered, anyway.

Luke snapped so many photos that he actually maxed out his digital camera's memory card. Unbothered, he simply pulled out his Stark Industries smartphone prototype and continued snapping away.

Before he could take more than a few shots, an Ultraman cosplayer jogged over to him.

"Hey, man. That is one weird-looking camera," the Ultraman said, eyeing the sleek, bezel-less smartphone with intense interest.

Luke smiled and explained, "It's a mobile phone. A brand-new prototype developed by Stark Industries."

The Ultraman looked genuinely shocked. "No way. I thought Iron Man stopped developing commercial tech to focus entirely on his armor."

"Well, you might just be looking at a piece of technology adapted directly from his armor," Luke teased.

"That is so cool! If it uses the same tech as the Iron Man suit, that basically means I have a piece of the armor too! Where can I buy one?"

Luke thought about it for a second. "It hasn't hit mass production yet. This is just an engineering prototype for testing. But Stark Industries is probably going to launch a subsidiary company specifically to manufacture and sell these soon."

The Ultraman nodded eagerly. "I am definitely buying one the second it drops! So awesome!"

"Hey, Tiga! We gotta go!" a group of Kaiju cosplayers called out from a short distance away. It seemed they were all part of the same cosplay troupe.

As the group walked off, Luke's eyes suddenly locked onto one of the cosplayers—a hermit crab monster holding hands with a smaller, child-sized Kaiju.

The costume immediately triggered a dormant memory...

"Those behemoths!" Luke gasped in shock, finally remembering where he had seen the colossal, slumbering bird-behemoths in that dangerous micro-dimension.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

"How is that possible? That's a fictional franchise! Wait... Marvel is a fictional franchise too!" Luke felt his brain practically short-circuit as the realization hit him.

He looked around at the endless sea of fantasy and sci-fi characters. If these characters all had corresponding, real universes out there somewhere...

Luke stood frozen for a long moment before abruptly turning and sprinting out of the convention center. Ducking into a secluded alleyway, he instantly shadow-stepped into his Dark Dimension. He briefly noticed a few Kamar-Taj sorcerers practicing their newly acquired dark energy spells, but he didn't stop to chat. He immediately sprinted through the permanent portal leading to Kamar-Taj.

Emerging into the sunlit courtyard, he spotted Mordo practicing with a magical staff, shooting little 'pew-pew-pew' fireballs into the air. Luke ran up and grabbed his arm.

"Where's the Ancient One? It's an emergency," Luke demanded.

Mordo, who had been gleefully examining his new staff—which made him feel like a wizard from a certain British fantasy movie—blinked in surprise. "The Sorcerer Supreme should be in the tea room rewriting the spell ledgers. If it's urgent, just go knock."

Luke nodded and sprinted toward the tea room.

Stopping in front of the sliding wooden doors, he knocked twice. The doors opened automatically. The Ancient One was seated at a low table, surrounded by massive, towering stacks of ancient spellbooks.

"What's wrong? Why the sudden urgency?" she asked, carefully finishing a glowing rune in the ledger in front of her before looking up.

"I need to know—is it possible to travel to other universes through the Dark Dimension?" Luke asked, trying to catch his breath.

The Ancient One thought for a moment. "Of course it is. In fact, all major material realms exist within the dimensional gaps. Through the Dark Dimensions that bridge these gaps, one can naturally travel to other worlds."

"So... fictional worlds aren't actually just fictional?"

The Ancient One paused, giving him a strange look. "You should already know the answer to that. After all, from your perspective, wasn't our universe just a fictional story? Yet here we are, very real and existing right in front of you."

"Can I use my Dark Dimension to travel to those other worlds right now?"

"Theoretically, yes. However, you need the specific spatial coordinates for the target world. You cannot simply step into the Dark Dimension and blindly stumble into another reality."

Luke nodded. "How do I get those coordinates?"

"That largely depends on luck," the Ancient One explained. "Either the target dimension naturally overlaps and connects with yours, or you obtain a high-level artifact originating from that specific world. Powerful artifacts retain the unique dimensional aura of their home world. We can use that aura to trace the coordinates."

With a wave of her hand, a small, glowing spellbook floated over to Luke. "This spell will allow you to detect whether an object possesses a unique dimensional aura. If you find one, bring it to Mordo and the Masters; they can decrypt the aura to find the coordinates."

Luke caught the book, skimmed its contents, and nodded. 'So that's how it works. I wonder if the loot Mordo and the guys dragged back from the dimensional war is high-level enough.'

Leaving the tea room, Luke headed back to the courtyard.

Actually, the System had heavily implied this reality back when it first activated; it had literally offered him a choice between three different universes (Marvel, DC, and a cultivation world).

This meant that during his future dimensional conquests, he just needed to keep an eye out for unique loot. He might actually get to go multiverse-hopping!

Luke was suddenly incredibly excited. The Marvel universe had plenty of downtime between major crisis events. When he was bored, he could just go on a vacation to other worlds! He couldn't wait to see which ones he could access.

He found Mordo and explained his goal, asking to inspect the loot they had plundered.

Understanding what Luke was looking for, Mordo led him to a storage vault filled with the weapons and armor seized from the previous dimensional war.

Glancing over the piles of gear, Luke felt they looked a bit too generic, but it was worth a shot.

He recalled the spell the Ancient One had just given him. The principle was actually incredibly simple: inject a tiny amount of energy into the item to stimulate its core structure, observe the resulting energy frequency, and check if it contained any unique, extra-dimensional signatures.

Since Luke had absolute, innate control over dark energy, he didn't even need to construct the complex magical mandalas the sorcerers used. He just willed it to happen.

Gathering a thread of pure dark energy, Luke carefully injected it into a piece of enemy armor, stimulating its internal matrix.

Unfortunately, there was no unique aura. The armor's internal energy structure was almost entirely composed of generic dark energy, designed simply to protect normal foot soldiers from being assimilated by the Dark Dimension.

Luke tossed it aside and tested several more mass-produced weapons, but they all yielded the same disappointing result.

He sighed, shaking his head. He suddenly remembered the glowing, reality-warping broadsword the enemy Lord had pulled out during their duel. 'Damn it! I should have stolen that sword before he teleported away!'

An artifact used personally by a dimensional Lord would absolutely have enough aura to track coordinates. What a massive missed opportunity.

Walking out of the vault empty-handed, Luke made a firm resolution: from now on, he was absolutely going to strip every defeated dimensional boss of their personal loot.

It wasn't like he wanted to invade and conquer those other realities; he just wanted to be a multiverse tourist. As a future Multiversal Overlord who would eventually command an infinite Dark Dimension, he didn't have much ambition for world domination. He just wanted to experience his childhood fantasies from a brand-new perspective.
