Chapter 2993: 2993. Changing Their Perceptions

The two did not look amused as they realized that what they had seen all their lives in the world was not normal at all anywhere else but the world.

The younger girl was looking at the sudden change in environment with stunned shock, but Walker had already grabbed her hand before she accidentally released his robes.

Luckily, the demon boy held his robes tighter as they looked at the purity of rolling earthen hills and mountains.

"We happened to show up in the earth elemental planes. This is a smaller outer area, strong earth mana but not much in terms of life or materials to gather. There may be more deeper in but we aren’t here for that."

The sudden pull of space mana drew them further and further with each of Walker’s steps. He also increased his control of mana around them and was using several buffing skills to help him protect the pair.

Even the eternal codex shifted to the form of a grimoire allowing Walker to increase his control of mana to form a protective shield.

He was keeping the area directly around them the same manas and densities of mana as the world so that the pair would not be harmed. Adding in some of his stored natural mana, he found himself perfectly able to hold the bubble he created.

Walker was not at all surprised to see the basics of a skill pop up. He was doing a very specific action related to what else he knew.

With every skill he learned and the more he allowed himself to move with the flow, he found it easier to make unique skills or mixed skills.

This was the same when he mixed manas too.

For the mana bubble shield skill he had imagined manipulating the mana around him like a territory controlling skill but also like Su’s mana shield skill that overlapped on her shields. This led to the skill he had now along with the fact that he could easily break down and weaken manas surrounding him to an ideal form.

This entirely ignored the system of existence or reliance on a system let alone normal skills someone would have in a class.

But the main reason he felt he could just do this was because he was of the origin race.

He felt that it was natural to do these things since he could feel the mana at the core of what he was. It flowed with him and he just needed to be open to that.

"Why is it so much?" The demon boy finally spoke up, his hand still tightly grasped on to Walker’s robes. His face still clearly showing the awe and so minor terror at the enormity of the earth elemental planes.

"You both understand the size of Genesis and its territories? It could fit many cities and villages. This is that, but ten or a hundred times larger. All made of singular manas built on a foundation of space, time, life, and death mana but with such high earth mana purity and it is all earth."

Clearly they could not grasp the concept. It was fantastical for them though so Walker didn’t feel bad.

"The outer elemental planes are always larger too. They have thinner manas than the central areas of each elemental plane. The manas there become so dense that I would be unable to protect you and need to rely on my own mana resistances and skills."

"Those that live there are so closely bonded with their specific mana affinity that they will perish if they encounter other manas. That is why travel between places like here and our home is regulated and protected. Many can’t survive for long or at all from either side."

This seemed to enlighten them. The two could grasp the changes needed to survive since they had learned that certain materials in crafting would literally degrade or worse, explode, if the wrong mana encountered them.

"If you look to the right you’ll see where the fire elemental plane encounters the earth. That is a boundary where earth and fire mana mix allowing for unique races and monsters, or even materials to form."

"I can see some lava vipers moving around and hunting the ember whisker rats that are exploring the area." The two squinted to see but only saw small shapes moving about that might be monsters or light be bursts of flame.

Walker moved ahead again. He started to feel the pressure from using space mana so much. It weakened his mind since it came with additional stress using it back to back.

"Now both of you will need to hold on to me no matter what. The area here is chaotic and the mana more dangerous. I recently felt the effect of a powerful being holding the manas back and will copy that in this tiny area between us. Otherwise I will only bring in the space mana I know."

He had only seen that space elemental plane out in the edge of the unknown once. It had been unique and something he could not touch.

It was sealed and a space dragon was within. An extremely vicious and not like any other dragon he knew. It was sealed to develop until it could join other elemental planes which could take many more years.

Yet, Walker could tell he knew where it was by instinct. That was why he was confident in coming here and protecting the two.

Whether it was because he had come in to contact with that stored plane before or not, he knew. He had also made a hopeful comment about wishing to see the dragon fully gain intelligence one day and meeting it.

Part of him believed as a member of the origin race he’d remembered the location and could track it down because of that. An instinct to bring that elemental plane together with others and to see its future.

Whatever the true reason for this instinct, Walker was embracing it. He was also going to keep note mentally of the other elemental planes he had been to and see if he could still sense an attachment to them.

Regardless, he moved through the lacking area where manas thinned and he could sense the collision of some stronger mana threads moving by and around him with the shield he had made.

"This is the outer elemental plane. Beyond this is the unknown. This is where smaller elemental planes formed out in the chaos get brought by powerful beings. Can you feel the changes?"

The younger crafters were not speaking. They were staring off in to the distance where flashes of mana or light appeared. They could feel the fear in their hearts at such a vast unknown. Yet, they could also feel the pressure from unknown creatures out there.

Unseen and unknown to the eyes of anyone they know or would ever know.

"This is where myself and the other heroes have ventured. Here you can sense the change in mana more deeply because I am protecting you while letting the mana s change freely. Mana here is natural and unnatural. It is chaotic and orderly. It forms and it breaks. And that, the gray like space ahead, is the space elemental plane I spoke of. It is larger now though."

Walker knew it was larger since some stronger being had clearly added to it. But the larger moving shapes within were monsters. It was not just one powerful dragon within but others now.

This distance was enough, though. It was not his job to bring these two closer and at risk. He could also appraise it without issue here now.

’Elite space elemental plane: formation phase

This is an experimental space elemental plane being used as a testing ground for what could be called a greater space elemental plane. A plane that is very difficult to form for those that guard and nurture elemental planes.

Walker furrowed his brows, seeing that it was changed. That it was experimental now. That it was being used as a test and not allowed to develop to the point where the beings inside could be intelligent and join the greater elemental planes as he believed would happen.

The feeling in the pit of his stomach was not a good one in the least.
