Chapter 2998: 2998. Leaving For Now
Observing chaotic mana felt like something that would leave him more confused than knowledgeable on the subject.
While Walker understood that he could counter it and calm it, he knew that it was not a possibility to calm and balance all the mana here. If he did that the repercussions could be absolutely world ending.
Not because the balanced manas would create some monster or crazy materials dangerous for everyone.
Simply because the sudden balance would unbalance the manas within the world.
From what he could tell, this chaotic area was a balance to the order of the world and how the world could expand. It was a counterweight making sure that everything did not fail or fall. It also allowed for there to be bursts of new mixes of manas too here and there.
Besides all of this, it gave a solid separation between the world and the elemental planes giving a barrier to keep the higher amounts of dense pure elemental manas from rushing in to the world and causing an imbalance there.
If all that mana rushed in to the world, the world would react negatively causing a chaotic and violent repulsion. Not only killing everything within the world but also causing chaos to befall the elemental planes.
The idea that another elemental war would begin there was a small potential compared to the enormity of what that situation would be.
However, the fact that this chaotic and isolated area existed was ideal. That chaotic mana nature of this place would actually keep the elemental planes sealed even better. The manas making that seal would be harder to break because they would be made to repel the chaotic manas as long as they were made quickly.
The consistent chaotic atmosphere would eventually draw in the mana needed to resist them as well. Besides also adding to the growth of those elemental planes over longer periods of time.
Overall, it was like a greenhouse for weak and protected herbs. It just needs the care of those who could manage it.
Not stopping far from where he sensed the bridge to the elemental planes and the world he had come from was, Walker stood in the chaos and watched as waves of mana flowed near him. He felt that the pressure was skyrocketing before collapsing to the exact opposite.
The sudden high density then drop of density in mana would and should have pulled and pushed his own mana making him unable to hold it within his control. But the high amount of natural mana he kept within his body assisted in resisting that effect on himself and the space elemental plane he was moving with him.
He also sensed the movement of life, death, space, and time manas within his body. Proving that some free and ambient versions of those manas were also moving within the chaotic mana. However, they did not clash and crash in to one another.
They moved and gathered before releasing and absorbing in to the very foundation of everything. Like some manas could split off and return to the foundations because they were capable of doing so in their own natural flow beyond what elemental manas could truly influence them to do.
When he looked carefully at where he sensed ambient space mana, he was able to reach out to it using even more natural mana to protect his mana flowing through the chaos.
Without much trouble, it reacted and moved toward him before being directed in to the space elemental plane. The addition caused small ripples to move through the plane and there was a reaction from the slumbering space dragon.
Proof that the space mana here would nourish it over time while it remained in an unconscious and dormant state. Proof that the time needed for it to develop and properly reach its true potential was here. He just needed to make sure it could remain.
Using the skill he had to seal an elemental plane, Walker began to bring in a mix of manas from the chaos. Calming them in to an order of shifting elemental manas all interacting, mixing, and forming natural manas that allows for space mana to easily slip through. The life, death, and time mana would already be present in all things and he did not desire to intentionally influence them here.
But the more he pulled at the manas and made natural mana, the more that chaotic mana seemed to burst around him. Like it did not wish for there to be anything but chaos.
In that aspect, he felt that the nature of this space was being perfectly held and he would not have to worry about a domino effect of the chaotic manas falling in to order because of his seal making more natural mana.
He did feel a heavier draw on the manas within himself and knew that the eternal codex also was unable to give more mana since he had used most of that on protecting the two younger crafters he brought with him earlier.
The more natural mana forming, the more that he felt weakened, something that was rarer nowadays but not impossible. But he did not hesitate to condense the layers of mana and watch carefully as it flowed more and more.
Slowly he removed his manipulation from the manas and the sealing skill while assuring that it could still absorb bits of mana to grow and maintain itself.
As if to test it, a wave of chaotic manas slammed in causing bursts of flame and ice all around the space elemental plane and Walker himself. He felt jostled like he had been punched but the space elemental plane held fast.
It even seemed to steal mana from that causing the seal to solidify a bit more than it had before.
His small smirk was all he had before leaving some of his own mana attached to show that he had been here. Something that would not fade as long as no one or anything intentionally absorbed or removed that mana. But Walker knew he could sense if that happened.
While he didn’t question his ability to do this, Walker would have realized it was yet another instinctual skill for the origin race. Another moment of growth that proved he had awakened more skills and strength as a member of the origin race growing further and further toward what a more powerful member of the origin race was capable of.
It would take many more years for the space elemental plane to grow and develop along with the space dragon itself to grow healthy. This was just the fact of where things had gone in terms of both of them.
While Walker could not do anything that would change this, he was able to give them a safer place to develop and allow that to happen. He just needed to check in from time to time and see what was happening. Ensure that nothing wrong was happening.
He let this thought rest in his mind as he swore he felt a warmth of gratitude before stepping within the bridge to the elemental plane yet again. Whether it was he himself believing this or not, Walker chose to believe it was the weak and barely formed spirit of the space elemental plane.
If it was, then it meant that things might develop just a bit faster.
Whether or not that happened though, was not a massive focus for him. He had new crafters he could watch grow. He had goals to watch move forward for the dungeons he wished to see crafted for the betterment of the world and all the people within the Genesis alliance.
He just had to keep working toward that.
"Not a mage, can’t train one." The wandering blacksmith looked at the demon boy who had just arrived with Su. She had explained that this young crafter could forge space in to storage rings and objects, but the wandering blacksmith pushed back saying he wasn’t a mage.
The push back was incredibly unlike the man who often remained silent or was excited over new materials. He was always focused too, but he gave Su and the two young crafters full attention. It didn’t make sense when Su tried to figure it out right that moment.
"Leave me to my craft and come back with shields later." He even was trying to send her away!
"I’m not a mage old man! You are just dried up and old and can’t see someone who can forge things you can’t! Learn something new for a change!"
The sudden outburst was unlike what Su expected from the demon boy. Walker had even mentioned that these two were well behaved and have strong goals, if this was what he meant, then she wasn’t sure what she could do here.
Then again, she also wasn’t sure what to say when she saw the rough grin on the wandering blacksmith’s face too.
