Ravena retreated several steps after the attack, and one of her arms was severed from the shoulder and fell to the ground.
However, no blood spilled from the wound. Ravena immediately controlled the blood within her body, preventing it from flowing out and keeping herself from losing any more strength than necessary.
But before Ravena could fully recover, Klein was already in front of her again. His sword was once again in motion, swinging directly toward her throat.
Ravena reacted quickly and moved backward. The sword passed only a short distance from her throat, barely missing her.
But Klein wasn’t finished. The moment Ravena moved back to avoid the sword, Klein immediately raised his other hand and aimed it directly toward her stomach.
Ravena noticed the movement and immediately summoned blood in front of herself. She began hardening it as quickly as possible, trying to form a protective layer before Klein could attack.
However, Klein calmly looked at her and said, "You’re a little late."
A Light Element spell immediately fired from his hand. Ravena’s blood shield wasn’t fully formed yet, and the Light Element attack destroyed it in less than a second.
The remaining attack continued forward and struck Ravena directly in the stomach.
BOOM!
The tremendous force sent her flying backward toward the wall. Klein didn’t give her any time to recover and immediately moved after her, intending to finish the battle while she was still in midair.
However, Klein suddenly sensed something coming from behind.
He immediately turned around and saw a spear made entirely of blood flying toward him at frightening speed.
Klein instantly raised his sword and blocked the incoming spear.
CLANG!
The force behind the blood spear was far greater than he expected. The sword in Klein’s hand, which was reinforced with Light Element mana, couldn’t withstand the pressure.
CRACK!
The sword shattered, but the blood spear continued forward. It destroyed the layer of Light Element mana protecting Klein’s body before piercing into the left side of his chest.
The spear passed straight through his body.
Klein coughed out a small amount of blood before immediately using his healing magic to heal the injury and prevent further blood loss.
His expression became serious.
’If I had been even a little slower in blocking it, and hadn’t slightly changed the spear’s trajectory at the last moment, it would have pierced my heart.’
Klein had escaped death by an extremely narrow margin.
He immediately looked around, trying to determine where the attack had come from.
’Where did that attack come from?’
His eyes quickly moved toward the place where Ravena’s severed arm had fallen after he cut it off.
The arm was no longer there.
Klein’s expression changed slightly.
He immediately looked toward the wall where Ravena had crashed.
Ravena was still there, and the blood spear that had nearly killed him was already near her.
Her body had been partially burned by Klein’s previous Light Element attack, but the damaged areas were already beginning to regenerate.
The blood spear flew back toward Ravena and was absorbed into her body.
Her wounds rapidly healed, and even her severed arm began regenerating through her blood manipulation.
Within moments, her body had recovered almost completely.
However, there was still an obvious difference.
Her skin had become noticeably paler, and the aura surrounding her body had weakened considerably.
Klein looked at Ravena with a serious expression before speaking.
"My mistake. I forgot to completely destroy your arm."
He tightened his grip around his remaining weapon"I shouldn’t have underestimated you, even if you’re weakened right now. A Noble Vampire is still a Noble Vampire,"then he paused for a moment and then continued in a mocking tone "Even if you’ve spent the last decade as nothing more than an experimental rat."
Ravena’s expression remained calm, and then she said, "Stop wasting time trying to provoke me. You should instead focus on your teammate. He seems to be in a difficult position right now."
As she said this, Klein looked toward Steve, who was flying through the air before crashing into a wall.
Klein’s expression immediately became serious, but after seeing that Steve was still standing and didn’t have any major injuries, he sighed in relief. Steve had suffered several injuries during the battle, but none were severe enough to seriously affect his ability to fight.
Klein immediately moved away from his position and rushed toward Steve.
However, as he moved, a figure suddenly appeared from behind.
It was the phantom of Dominique.
The phantom attempted to attack Klein from behind, but Klein sensed it in time and quickly avoided the attack.
After failing to injure him, the phantom disappeared and moved back toward Dominique.
The phantom then returned to its physical form and stopped beside Ravena.
Klein finally reached Steve and landed beside him. Steve had just stood back up after being thrown into the wall.
Steve looked toward Klein for a moment before turning his gaze toward Ravena.
Then he said in an annoyed tone, "Why did it take you so long to arrive?"
Klein looked at him and replied, "It’s not my fault you let one of the demons escape. I was delayed because a Dream Demon escaped from here while you weren’t paying attention to it."
Steve paused for a moment.
He then remembered that the Dream Demon had actually been absent for quite some time. He had simply been too focused on the battle happening directly in front of him to notice when it escaped.
Steve sighed and said, "Okay, that’s good. You finished it before coming here, right?"
Klein simply nodded.
Steve then turned his gaze toward the two demons standing in front of them.
Steve’s expression became serious again.
"Now, let’s finish this quickly."
Klein nodded once.
He summoned another sword into his hand, replacing the weapon that had been destroyed during his previous exchange with Ravena blood spear.
In the next moment, Steve and Klein vanished from their positions at the same time.
