Chapter 2800: Chapter 2803: Disbelief
"The Enforcement Legion’s actions do not require your interference!"
The soldier at the bottom of the pit looked indifferently at Leng Mingliang: "Leave immediately, or you’ll be obstructing the law!"
Leng Mingliang’s face changed, glaring fiercely at the soldier, he responded with resentment, "Fine! The son of the Tang King of the Canglan Continent is involved, I shall see if you enforce the law fairly!"
As he finished speaking, Leng Mingliang gestured to the white-armored soldiers and moved to the edge of the deep pit.
"Bad blood?"
Jiang Chen turned to look at Tang Jie.
"They rely on being legion soldiers and tried to seize our Spiritual Medicine, but we refused!"
Tang Jie replied, showing concern, "You should heal first!"
Jiang Chen nodded slightly, took out two Elixirs, and closed his eyes to begin regulating his breath.
"Did he just use a Sixth-Grade Elixir, the Recovery Pill, and an Eighth-Grade Elixir, the God Concealing Pill, for healing?!"
An audible exclamation arose, causing everyone’s expressions at the pit edge to change.
The blood-colored armored soldier at the bottom gave Jiang Chen a deep look but said nothing; being a friend of the Tang King’s son, having such Supreme Elixirs wasn’t unexpected, though using them for healing seemed wasteful!
Tang Jie and the others were even less surprised; Jiang Chen himself was a Seventh-Grade Pill Master, previously at the Divine Infant Realm Peak, and now at the Late Virtual Refinement Realm, making it feasible to refine Eighth-Grade Elixirs.
"Where did His Highness the Fourth Prince take him? How could he advance so quickly? From the Divine Infant Realm Peak to the Late Virtual Refinement Realm in just two years! Could I even defeat him now? I only recently broke through to the Virtual Refinement Realm Peak!"
Tang Jie muttered softly.
The blood-colored armored soldier’s expression shifted slightly as he looked at Tang Jie, then Jiang Chen, frowning slightly, showing a hint of disdain.
Obviously, he saw Jiang Chen as someone who relied on elixirs to advance.
Such individuals would likely be a burden on the battlefield!
"With Brother Jiang’s aptitude, breaking through to the Late Virtual Refinement Realm in two years is hardly surprising. Back then, to join the Extraterritorial Battlefield, he suppressed his realm at the Divine Infant Realm Peak for nearly two years. Given his talent and foundation, his current cultivation level is to be expected!"
Yue Muchen spoke softly.
"I know it’s not surprising; I’m just feeling a bit unwilling since I might not be able to beat him!"
Tang Jie pouted.
The blood-colored armored soldier gave Tang Jie a peculiar look; was this man at the Virtual Refinement Realm Peak saying he might lose to someone at the Late Virtual Refinement Realm, or was he just that useless?
Buzz!
As time passed, the aura around Jiang Chen gradually calmed down.
Wow!
A blue radiance erupted from Jiang Chen, flickering momentarily.
When the light dissipated, Jiang Chen’s flesh and blood had recovered; apart from bloodstains on his clothes, there was no fresh blood elsewhere.
Jiang Chen opened his eyes, stood up, glanced at the blood-colored armored soldier, then turned to Tang Jie and the others: "What was the person saying about forcibly breaking into the Medicine Mountain Range?"
"This friend!"
Before Tang Jie and the others could answer, the blood-colored armored soldier spoke indifferently, "I am Wu Haifeng, squad captain of the Enforcement Legion; I have some questions for you!"
"Enforcement Legion?"
Jiang Chen was slightly stunned, glanced at Wu Haifeng, then inquisitively turned to Tang Jie and the others: "Is it like the Enforcement Hall of the academy?"
"Yes, the Enforcement Legion are enforcers in this Domain."
Tang Jie nodded, explaining softly, and then said peculiarly, "Could you have just arrived at the Extraterritorial Battlefield?"
"Yes!"
Jiang Chen acknowledged, turning to Wu Haifeng and cupping his fists: "I am Jiang Chen, Captain Wu, please speak."
"You claim you’ve just arrived at the Extraterritorial Battlefield?"
Wu Haifeng frowned at Jiang Chen, a hint of doubt in his eyes.
"Haha! Just arrived at the Extraterritorial Battlefield? What a strong excuse! Are you using ignorance to avoid punishment? The Battlefield has been sealed for a year and a half; how could you possibly enter? Ridiculous! To evade responsibility, you devised such a childish excuse; are you a fool?"
An mocking voice sounded, Leng Mingliang sneered at Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen looked up at Leng Mingliang, frowning slightly: "Are you insulting me?"
"Haha, do I even need to insult you? What are you anyway; do you deserve to be insulted by me?"
Leng Mingliang sneered.
"Is killing allowed here?"
A flash of coldness crossed Jiang Chen’s eyes, turning to Tang Jie.
"No!"
Before Tang Jie could respond, Wu Haifeng spoke urgently.
"Can one insult others freely without any punishment here?"
Jiang Chen turned and looked indifferently at Wu Haifeng.
Wu Haifeng’s expression changed slightly. He pondered briefly, then looked at Leng Mingliang, "Recklessly insulting allied forces results in a deduction of fifty battle merits!"
"What? What do you mean?"
Leng Mingliang’s face changed, shouting aloud.
"Enforce it. Resist, and be killed on the spot!"
Wu Haifeng commanded coldly.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Two Enforcement Legion soldiers leapt before Leng Mingliang; one soldier extended his hand coldly: "Hand over your identification card!"
"You..."
Leng Mingliang’s face turned gloomy; glaring angrily at Jiang Chen in the pit, he unwillingly handed his identification card to the soldier.
Though he had some background, unafraid of Tang Jie, he dared not conflict with the Enforcement Legion, the only legion with the authority to execute allied forces, led by the undefeated legend of the Extraterritorial Battlefield; no one dared provoke them!
"Is that it?"
Jiang Chen frowned, looking indifferently at Wu Haifeng.
Wu Haifeng was slightly startled, replying sternly: "Such punishment is already severe enough, let’s begin your issue now."
Jiang Chen paused briefly, then turned to Tang Jie: "What’s the punishment for killing here?"
"What...what are you going to do?"
Tang Jie was startled, looking at Jiang Chen in surprise.
Wu Haifeng frowned tightly: "What are you planning to do?"
Jiang Chen ignored Wu Haifeng, staring directly at Tang Jie: "Would there be execution?"
"No, but you’d have all merits erased and be penalized to return to the battlefield alone to earn ten thousand battle merits to return."
Tang Jie hurriedly explained: "Ten thousand merit points, that’s ten thousand of the same realm strong foes; even if you being at the Late Virtual Refinement Realm, you must kill a thousand enemies to earn it!"
Jiang Chen nodded but said nothing, turning to Wu Haifeng: "What issues do I have?"
"Have you truly just arrived at the Extraterritorial Battlefield? Who can testify for you?"
Wu Haifeng no longer fretted over Jiang Chen’s murderous intent, assuming the punishment had deterred him.
"I truly just arrived, to be precise, just descended moments ago, accompanied by Si Wenhao, the Fourth Prince of Canglan Continent, and..."
Jiang Chen hesitated briefly, uncertain, "I am unsure about that person, but he sensed my aura and arrived to welcome me, likely the Second Prince of Canglan Continent; he can also testify for me!"
