After Chenyu and Luoyan had slaughtered dozens of people, they were just about to gleefully demand Ye Xiu fulfill his promise. But then, they discovered Ye Xiu had vanished!
"Where is he?" Chenyu asked, a bewildered expression on her enormously ugly, bloated face.
"He ran away!" Luo Yan stomped her foot angrily. The action seemed coquettish but actually created a hole in the highway. She pouted and said, "That despicable Ye Xiu! He tricked us into helping him wipe out his enemies and then took the opportunity to escape."
Chenyu said furiously, "Let’s go. We’re going to settle the score with him."
"Sis, do you know where he is?" Luo Yan asked.
Chenyu was rendered speechless.

At that moment, Ye Xiu arrived at the place on Seven-Star Island where the mutated beasts were imprisoned—another abandoned city.
"What’s going on? Where have all the mutated beasts gone?"
Ye Xiu searched the entire abandoned city but couldn’t find a single beast. This suddenly gave him a growing sense of dread.
Could the three great Judicator Families be planning to use the army of mutated beasts for something?
Ye Xiu immediately flipped through Tu La’s note, but it contained nothing about the mutated beasts. Tu La had indeed written down all the secrets he knew about the prisoners, the three great Judicator Families, and the Eternal Kingdom. But he had deliberately left out the plan for the "army of mutated beasts to launch a surprise attack on Biluo Island."
Ye Xiu quickly took out his phone and sent a message to Mo Luo: "Notify the agents hidden on each island immediately. Have them check the locations where mutated beasts are confined."
The agents on the islands had never paid any attention to the mutated beasts, a lapse Ye Xiu realized was his own mistake. After sending the message, Ye Xiu sped toward the hiding place of the agents on Seven-Star Island.

In an abandoned factory on Seven-Star Island, the thirty agents hidden there were having a late-night meal of barbecue and beer. Their leader was none other than Ghost Shadow.
"I have to say, you all have some nerve. The Young Master has already given the order: apart from me, all other agents are to withdraw to Biluo Island. What do you mean by staying here?" Ghost Shadow asked, laughing and chiding as he sipped his beer.
One agent chuckled and said, "We’ve followed the Young Master for many years but have never seen him in person. Now that we finally have a chance to witness his magnificent presence, how could we possibly miss it?"
Another agent added, "The Young Master came to Seven-Star Island all by himself. Even though he’s powerful enough not to need help, we, as his subordinates, can’t possibly allow him to fight alone."
Ghost Shadow gave a wry smile and shook his head. "I know you want to meet the Young Master and fight alongside him, but have you considered this? Disobeying his orders is a capital offense!"
The first agent who had spoken replied, "The Young Master’s enemies are the three great Judicator Families and the entire nation of the Eternal Kingdom, with its population of over a hundred million. From the moment we set foot on Biluo Island, none of us planned on making it back alive."
Ghost Shadow fell silent. The Young Master was invincible. No matter how strong or numerous his enemies were, he would not die. His followers, however, were another story. It wasn’t just the agents; even he had come here prepared to die.
Just then, a sinister voice cut through the air, "Since you don’t plan on leaving here alive, you might as well hand your heads over to me so I can claim the bounty."
"Who’s there?"
Ghost Shadow and the 29 agents sprang to their feet, their expressions grim. They had chosen this location as their base precisely because it was deserted and well-hidden. How did these people find us?
As Ghost Shadow and the 29 agents watched, 51 people emerged from the darkness. The one in the lead was a sleazy-looking old man, and the other 50 were all dressed in military uniforms similar to those of the Eternal Kingdom’s soldiers, armed with firearms. They were mercenaries!
"Allow me to introduce myself, so you don’t die without knowing who killed you," the sleazy old man said with a laugh as he approached. "My name is Shang Tianfeng, a peak Fifth Realm War God. And these 50 men behind me are the Eternal Kingdom’s notorious Blood-Drinking Mercenary Group. Don’t mistake them for ordinary mercenaries; they are all Third Realm War Gods."
After hearing the introduction, the hearts of Ghost Shadow and the 29 agents sank.
They were Huang Quan’s most elite intelligence agents, absolute professionals in their field and unmatched by the spies of any other nation, but they were not fighters.
Before coming to the Eternal Kingdom, aside from Ghost Shadow, who had just advanced to a First Realm War God, the other 29 agents had all been Great Grandmasters. Although Huang Quan had granted them the Life Totem and used Golden Blood to help them awaken to the Third Stage, giving them the power of Fourth Realm War Gods, any Fourth Realm War God with actual combat experience could still defeat them.
The 50 men of the Blood-Drinking Mercenary Group were all veterans who lived on the edge of a knife, despite only being at the Third Realm. They possessed immense combat experience and were armed with firearms. On top of that, they had Shang Tianfeng, a Fifth Realm War God, leading them. In this battle, their lives were hanging by a thread.
"Lord Ghost, you must go back and tell the Young Master that I, Li Dongze, was honored to follow him for so many years. I die with no regrets!" an agent said grimly.
"Our lives don’t matter, but you cannot die, Lord Ghost! If you fall, the entire intelligence network in the Eternal Kingdom will collapse. You have to leave, now!"
"I’ve never put my life on the line like this before. Let’s see if I can buy you enough time to escape."
"What a pity... I’m about to die and I never even got to see the Young Master’s face. Lord Ghost, please, tell him my name."
The 29 agents urged Ghost Shadow to retreat, drawing their weapons as they prepared to fight to the death. In truth, if they scattered, a few of them might have escaped. But as Huang Quan’s subordinates, the concept of self-preservation was foreign to them. To flee would only bring shame to Huang Quan’s name.
"You little rascals, you talk as if I’m afraid to die," Ghost Shadow chuckled. Two daggers appeared in his hands as he fixed his cold gaze on Shang Tianfeng and the Blood-Drinking Mercenary Group. He declared proudly, "All who serve the throne are its dogs. We were raised by the one on that throne, and our sole purpose in life is to die for him at a moment’s notice!"
The 29 agents suddenly smiled. They knew Ghost Shadow, so once he made the decision not to flee, they stopped trying to persuade him.
In that case, they would meet their deaths together!
Shang Tianfeng and the 50 mercenaries from the Blood-Drinking Mercenary Group were stunned. They discovered that Ghost Shadow and the 29 agents, far from showing fear, were radiating an astonishing will to fight and a fearless resolve to die.
Who could possess such charisma, to train such a group of death-defyingly loyal followers? Shang Tianfeng couldn’t help but feel a mix of admiration and envy toward Ye Xiu.
"Kill!"
Ghost Shadow didn’t answer, instead issuing the fatal command. With the shout of "Kill," his figure had already appeared before a mercenary. His dagger traced a chilling arc, slicing through the man’s carotid artery before he vanished from sight.
"Kill!"
The 29 agents roared in unison, launching a suicidal assault like moths to a flame.
At that moment, Shang Tianfeng and the 49 remaining mercenaries were stunned by Ghost Shadow’s speed. Even Shang Tianfeng, a peak Fifth Realm War God, couldn’t track his movements. His speed was just too incredible.
But Shang Tianfeng had no time to be shocked. He decisively issued the order to slaughter them all.
"Leave no one alive! Kill every last one of them!"
