Chapter 796: Sorry, this is a Robbery

Golden Family!

Stephanie sat on the sofa, her face gloomy as she pondered how to resolve the current predicament between the three Judicator Families and the Eternal Kingdom.

Just then, the Butler ran in with a piece of paper. "A letter from the Princess has arrived."

"Really?" Stephanie exclaimed with joy. "Read it, read it quickly! It seems Kristina has escaped danger. That’s wonderful, just wonderful!"

The Golden Totem of the Golden Family could only be inherited by one person each generation. If Kristina died, the Golden Family would be left without an heir.

Seeing Stephanie as happy as a child with candy, the Butler felt incredibly awkward, as she had already read the letter and knew that Kristina was far from safe.

Nevertheless, she began to read aloud:

"Mom, it’s Kristina. I’ve been taken hostage by Ye Xiu and have just arrived at King Island. Ye Xiu is forcing me to write to you, asking if the three Judicator Families have washed their necks yet. Mom, please come to King Island and save me!"

After hearing this, Stephanie’s excitement instantly turned to ice. Her face darkening, she said, "Ye Xiu has some nerve, daring to go to the Royal City. He’s asking for death."

The Butler asked, "Should I send someone to rescue the Princess and capture Ye Xiu along the way?"

"No rush," Stephanie said, her composure returning. "Ye Xiu hasn’t fully matured yet. Capturing him now would be of little use."

"Then should I inform the King of the Eternal Kingdom?" the Butler inquired.

"There’s no need. Ye Xiu has gone to King Island for the sole purpose of finding out where the three Judicator Families are. If you deploy the experts of the Eternal Kingdom, Ye Xiu will start trouble on his own."

Suddenly, looking as though she had everything under control, Stephanie smiled and said, "Actually, you should send Ye Xiu a reply. No, better yet, I’ll reply personally..."

At this moment, Ye Xiu, Jiaojiao, and Kristina were still dashing through the dense forest on the back of the Wolf King.

Just then, the ’Telegraph’ strapped to the Wolf King’s back started beeping.

Ye Xiu sneered. Stephanie had replied, just as he expected.

After instructing Kristina on how to operate the device, a reply appeared before him.

"Ye Xiu, here at the Golden Family estate, I have built a grave for your mother and grandparents. I send people to dig it up every single day. Do you think your mother and grandparents can possibly rest in peace that way?"

Having read the reply, Ye Xiu didn’t get angry. Instead, he was amused by Stephanie’s childishness.

He turned to Kristina and asked, "Is your mom an idiot?"

Your mom is the idiot! Your whole family are idiots! Kristina cursed inwardly but said nothing aloud.

Ye Xiu paid her no mind, packing the ’Telegraph’ back into his bag and continuing the journey on the Wolf King.

Upon exiting the dense forest, Ye Xiu instructed the Wolf King to wait in the woods. Carrying the sleeping Jiaojiao, he and Kristina found a highway and began walking toward the nearest city: Tiger City!

They walked for an unknown amount of time, and with darkness approaching, a taxi pulled up from behind and stopped beside them.

The window rolled down, and the driver poked his head out. "Need a ride?"

As he spoke, he quickly sized up Ye Xiu, Jiaojiao, and Kristina, his gaze lingering for three extra seconds on Ye Xiu’s oversized backpack.

"Sure!" Ye Xiu nodded. "My bag is a bit big. Could you open the trunk?"

The driver immediately popped the trunk.

After Ye Xiu placed the bag inside, he motioned for Kristina to sit in the front passenger seat while he and Jiaojiao sat in the back.

"Where to?" the driver asked as the taxi started moving.

"Any hotel will do!" Ye Xiu replied.

"Alrighty!" the driver nodded. With an overly familiar air, he asked, "You folks aren’t from around here, are you? In Tiger City for sightseeing or visiting relatives?"

"Working," Ye Xiu replied casually.

"Oh!" A flash of poorly concealed joy glinted in the driver’s eyes. He then fell silent and focused on driving.

From the rearview mirror, Ye Xiu clearly caught the look in the driver’s eyes, and the corners of his mouth lifted into a faint, imperceptible smirk.

Twenty minutes later, the taxi drove onto the grounds of a factory on the outskirts of Tiger City called ’Global Flour Mill’.

"We’re going to a hotel. Why did you bring us here?" Kristina asked.

"Heh heh, you’ll find out soon enough."

The driver sneered sinisterly, stopped the car, got out, and shouted, "Boys, we’ve got work!"

Instantly, a dozen or so young men ran over and surrounded the taxi.

Only then did Kristina realize this was an illegal cab that specialized in luring customers here.

"Good thing we don’t have any Eternal Kingdom currency on us," Ye Xiu said with a laugh.

"Get out!" At that moment, the driver yanked open the rear door and barked at Ye Xiu.

Ye Xiu immediately got out, still carrying the sleeping Jiaojiao.

Kristina also exited the car obediently, looking at the driver and the dozen or so club-wielding young men as if they were a pack of fools.

These idiots are so unlucky, trying to rob the most ruthless person in the entire Eternal Kingdom.

"Little Bull, what’s their story?" a young man asked the driver.

The driver, Little Bull, grinned. "I picked them up on the road. They were walking toward Tiger City. I asked, and they said they’re from out of town, here to find work. They look like a family of three, dressed nicely and carrying a huge backpack. I figured they weren’t just your average laborers and must have a lot of cash on them, so I brought them over."

The group of young men all laughed. Looking at the clothes Ye Xiu, Jiaojiao, and Kristina were wearing, they too figured the trio must be wealthy.

"Bring their bag here. I want to see how much money is inside," the young man commanded.

Ever since You Ming had destroyed the Eternal Kingdom’s network systems, people hadn’t been able to use banks, so those who traveled far for work usually carried all their cash with them.

"Right!"

Driver Little Bull immediately opened the trunk, heaved Ye Xiu’s backpack out, and said excitedly, "This bag is really heavy! There must be a lot of valuable stuff inside."

The young men’s faces filled with anticipation.

They eagerly unzipped Ye Xiu’s bag, and then they all froze.

The most conspicuous items inside the backpack were five weapons.

They were the Battle Soul Blade, the Dragon Sparrow Sword, the Slaughter City Blade, the Bronze Sword, and the Demon Blade.

"You... you... you... why do you have so many blades and swords in your backpack?" the young man asked, looking at Ye Xiu in terror.

The faces of Little Bull and the other youths had all turned pale. A few of them were so frightened their legs began to tremble.

"You lot are truly unlucky."

Ye Xiu walked over to the backpack, drew the Dragon Sparrow Sword, and with a casual slash, split the taxi in two. He looked at Little Bull and the other terrified young men, a smile playing on his lips.

"Pardon me, but this is a robbery. All of you, be good and hand over your money. Otherwise, you won’t live to see tomorrow’s sun!"
