Mercenary’s War

Joseph’s shouting was frantic, fearful, angry, and anxious.

The shouting was over, but whether Nate or anyone else from Angel would respond, Gao Yang did not know. Perhaps Angel had been completely wiped out, in which case no reply would be forthcoming, or perhaps Angel was currently locked in fierce combat, not dead but close to it, in which case even a response would be useless.

The best outcome, of course, would be if Angel achieved their objective, or perhaps hadn’t yet launched an attack, in which case Joseph’s message might still be of use.

So it’s a matter of fate.

After waiting for a moment, furious shouting from Nate was heard over the walkie-talkie.

"What’s going on?"

Gao Yang immediately breathed a sigh of relief, then whispered, "Great, still alive."

Joseph pointed at the walkie-talkie, and Gao Yang whispered, "Stick to the script, keep fabricating!"

Joseph pressed the talk button and urgently said, "I was ordered to take the Can Opener to the field hospital. When I got back, I found them in the midst of a fierce battle; our Boss was dragged onto a helicopter, and the Intelligence Officer’s corpse was left behind!"

Gao Yang waved his hand repeatedly, and Joseph immediately stopped talking and looked at Gao Yang.

Gao Yang whispered, "Don’t make it sound too orderly, and don’t spill everything in one go; Nate will sense it’s fake."

Joseph shrugged, "Then what?"

Joseph released the talk button, waited a moment, and then Nate urgently said, "How many of them did you see?"

"No! But I felt it’s Signal Flag; I’m familiar with Signal Flag, I believe it’s them!"

Joseph shouted another sentence.

After shouting, Joseph immediately said over the walkie-talkie, "Do you know how many enemies there are? We arrived in a rush, and our people are still in Yemen, but we can’t wait any longer, f**k! I will notify any available force in Ukraine, tell me, the enemy numbers!"

Gao Yang gave Joseph a thumbs-up, whispering, "Just from your voice, you could probably win an Oscar for Best Voice Acting, except does Oscar even have a Best Voice Acting award?"

Joseph smiled smugly.

At this point, Nate coldly said over the walkie-talkie, "Do you know Gao Yang’s location?"

Joseph held the walkie-talkie, panting heavily while urgently saying, "Yes, our Boss’s watch has a locator function; we can track his position. You just need to tell me the enemy’s strength."

"Signal Flag should have eighty people; this time, a hundred Signal Flag came to Donetsk, but only twenty Signal Flag members attacked the place we targeted. Therefore, I suspect the remaining Signal Flag troops attacked our headquarters."

Nate hurriedly finished speaking over the walkie-talkie, then Joseph picked up the walkie-talkie and calmly said, "Understood, over."

After a moment, Nate angrily said, "Damn it, what are you doing here causing chaos, waiting for others to rescue, can you afford the wait? Tell me Ram’s location so we can rescue him!"

Gao Yang slapped his hand hard, gleefully saying, "Done!"

Joseph looked at Gao Yang, who thought for a moment and then said, "Outside the city, just mention any location outside the city and tell him it’s still moving."

Joseph nodded, held the walkie-talkie just about to speak, but Gao Yang subconsciously wanted to speak. Seeing Joseph had already pressed the talk button, Gao Yang could only kick the Intelligence Officer lying at his feet in the stomach.

Almost made the Intelligence Officer shout. If he shouted "Deceiving" while Joseph was speaking, this scene could not be played.

"Still moving!"

Joseph noticed the anomaly and only shouted once.

An important premise is when Nate led Angel away, Gao Yang and they stayed behind, and Sirte also remained here. If Gao Yang ordered Joseph to escort Sirte to the field hospital, Joseph’s words are logical.

So as long as the Intelligence Officer cannot speak, Nate won’t know what happened here.

After saying this, Gao Yang looked at the room stockpiled with weapons and ammunition, frowned, and said, "Such a headache, too many ammunitions here, what if Nate and they have to come back to resupply?"

Joseph urgently said, "There’s another problem. I said the Intelligence Officer was already dead, so what about the body? If Nate comes back and finds no corpse, will there be suspicion?"
