Chapter 3081: Chapter 1020_2
It can be said that knowing the circumstances of the world at that time, Zhou Tian had the audacity to embark on such an action, which already indicated that Zhou Tian didn’t regard that God King highly. However, regardless, a God King level enemy still had the potential to pose a threat to Zhou Tian. Thus, if there was no opportunity at that time, so be it, but if Zhou Tian had the opportunity to eliminate such a powerful enemy, he certainly wouldn’t let the chance slide.
The result was that when confronting Zhou Tian, that God King immediately chose to retreat upon seeing the unfavorable situation. Yet, in light of that situation, Zhou Tian was determined not to let him leave.
After all, the opponent was a God King. If he were allowed to escape and planned revenge in the future, then that God King still had the capability to pose a threat to Zhou Tian. So, given the situation, without being able to defeat the enemy wouldn’t matter, but since Zhou Tian had the ability to defeat that God King, he would undoubtedly eliminate that threat directly.
Although it seemed that if a God King level strong being indeed fled with full force, it wouldn’t be easy for Zhou Tian to detain him. To most living beings, if that God King was truly determined to escape, even a Divine Emperor level strong being might not have the ability to stop him. Thus, given that Zhou Tian didn’t have much of an advantage in strength at that time, if that God King chose to flee without engaging, Zhou Tian would be unable to do anything to him.
However, in reality, even though it seemed that Zhou Tian couldn’t deal with that God King, if he truly intended to retain him, under Zhou Tian’s circumstances, it might not even be impossible. After all, at that time, Zhou Tian had control over that world, and with the Abyssal consciousness’s help, if he truly sought to prevent the escape, it wouldn’t be an easy task for that God King to flee silently.
The result was consistent with the situation at the time; the God King’s response was indeed quick. Upon discovering Zhou Tian’s control over that world, realizing he couldn’t defeat Zhou Tian within it, he chose to retreat immediately. Yet, as he retreated, Zhou Tian tried to detain him nevertheless.
For Zhou Tian at that time, he was already in an invincible position. After successfully annexing most of that world, even if all his enemies came to encircle him, Zhou Tian might not even be afraid. However, if he could avoid fighting those enemies, Zhou Tian preferred not to face them at present. Given the situation at the time, the best method for Zhou Tian to avoid facing those enemies was to ensure they had no opportunity to obtain the related information.
Undoubtedly, according to Zhou Tian’s thinking, there was no way he could let that God King go at this moment. With the God King’s performance back then, if allowed to escape, it was foreseeable that he would relay Zhou Tian’s information. Once Zhou Tian’s information reached the Divine Realm’s beings, it wouldn’t take long before his enemies would come looking for trouble.
Originally, even if those God Kings came looking for trouble, Zhou Tian might not even be afraid. After all, Zhou Tian already held the geographic advantage at this time, and soon the advantage of timing would also be in his grasp. Even if those God Kings came to oppose him, Zhou Tian wouldn’t fear them.
However, the issue was that, although frankly speaking, it was difficult for those God Kings to do anything to Zhou Tian now. As long as Zhou Tian couldn’t easily defeat those God Kings, his situation could still not be considered good.
After all, realistically speaking, at that time, although in terms of strength, Zhou Tian no longer feared those God Kings, that group of God Kings had a substantial backing. Because they had that backing, Zhou Tian knew it would be challenging to gain an advantage if confronted.
While those God Kings were enemies to Zhou Tian, Zhou Tian’s relationship with the Divine consciousness was not great either. If they obtained information about Zhou Tian, alongside those God Kings’ actions, even if the Divine consciousness lacked independent thinking capability wouldn’t act immediately against Zhou Tian, it would inevitably assist those God Kings when in confrontation with Zhou Tian.
No matter what, the actions Zhou Tian took couldn’t go unnoticed by the Divine consciousness. Since it was already aware of Zhou Tian as a figure, although due to the lack of the ability to think through issues, it couldn’t use its ability to fervently strike against Zhou Tian, once against him, the Divine consciousness would surely oppose him.
Undoubtedly, if those God Kings didn’t pose a significant threat to Zhou Tian, the Divine consciousness might not act. However, once the Divine consciousness took action, relying on Zhou Tian’s strength, under the circumstances at the time, it would be unrealistic to expect it to go well. From all aspects, the Divine consciousness was stronger than the Abyssal consciousness. Though on his Territory, Zhou Tian wasn’t as afraid of the Divine consciousness, using the Abyssal consciousness to fight became more challenging with the Divine consciousness’s assistance.
Generally, the Divine consciousness wouldn’t concern itself with the fate of a Deity, nor act if a God King level strong being fell in combat outside. After all, there’s no shortage of God Kings in the Divine Realm. Even if some God Kings perish, relying on the Divine Realm’s foundation, True Gods would naturally fill the gap without deliberate actions by the Divine consciousness.
However, because of the losses inflicted repeatedly on the Divine consciousness due to Zhou Tian’s actions, thus if those God Kings acted against Zhou Tian, instinctively, the Divine consciousness would also pay attention to their every move.
Thus, if those God Kings found Zhou Tian, the Divine consciousness would certainly oppose Zhou Tian as well.
And in the situation where the Divine consciousness constrains, the Abyssal consciousness hasn’t completely digested that world at that time. It simply implies that Zhou Tian couldn’t leverage the power of that world to defeat his enemies at that time. Thus, while Zhou Tian might not fear those enemies, under the circumstances, he wasn’t confidently claiming he could disregard them.
If those enemies invaded that world with Divine consciousness’s assistance, even relying on Zhou Tian’s strength, there wasn’t much confidence in stopping all their actions. Given the situation at the time, Zhou Tian’s inability to halt those enemies meant that if the God Kings wished, they couldn’t easily eliminate Zhou Tian but could indeed cause some damage to the internal part of that world.
Previously, no matter how that world was damaged, Zhou Tian wouldn’t have felt much because, at that time, that world wasn’t his Territory. Even if that world was destroyed, Zhou Tian wouldn’t care.
In fact, if Zhou Tian initially intended to annex that world, knowing who had their eyes on it and its internal severe damage, Zhou Tian would feel thrilled. The more severely the world was damaged, the easier it would be for Zhou Tian to annex it.
However, from Zhou Tian’s perspective now, the same situation was somewhat unacceptable. After all, Zhou Tian successfully annexed most of that world and soon it would officially be incorporated into the Abyss World. Although it wasn’t completely finished, that world could already be considered Zhou Tian’s Territory. (To be continued.
