Chapter 3109: Chapter 1034_2
Zhou Tian knew very well the true strength of the Paradise world, as in the past he had already experienced an invasion of the Paradise world, but back then, Zhou Tian’s invasion resulted in complete failure. Even though his strength at that time was not as formidable as it is now, the truth is that Zhou Tian made a full-strength assault and still had to retreat from the Paradise world.
Although Zhou Tian’s defeat back then was not entirely due to the resistance of the Paradise world, one cannot deny the fact that if the Paradise world really had no strength at all, Zhou Tian could have annexed it with the tactics he employed afterward, and the subsequent events would not have occurred.
Just one Paradise world was already so troublesome, and those worlds capable of withstanding the invasion of the Divine Realm are without exception stronger than the Paradise world. As such, even Zhou Tian didn’t have absolute confidence to annex the Paradise world, so if he were to announce now that he would annex a world stronger than the Paradise world within a given time, it would certainly be self-deceptive.
However, because of the evolution of the Divine Realm’s consciousness, Zhou Tian had no choice but to do something that seemed unreliable. Even though his strength might not be greater than the opposing side, Zhou Tian currently needs to annex those worlds one by one in a short period.
It was precisely because the task was so tremendously difficult that Zhou Tian never considered the feasibility of such an undertaking before. In fact, from the start, Zhou Tian did not intend to undertake such a thing, but because the evolution of the Divine Realm’s consciousness appeared to bring disaster upon him soon, Zhou Tian had no choice but to initiate that action.
Of course, being very aware of the level of strength those worlds he was about to confront had, even if compelled by circumstance, Zhou Tian still needed to make extra preparations when action was required.
For instance, when truly taking action against those worlds, Zhou Tian planned to first choose a world to practice on.
First, given that Zhou Tian originally had no preparations and was completely unfamiliar with those top-tier worlds, immediately sending him to confront those worlds not weaker than the Abyss world would be overwhelming. Although Zhou Tian certainly feared no opponent, attempting to annex an opponent would not be easy.
Secondly, if Zhou Tian could annex a few worlds beforehand, his strength would certainly increase by some measure. As the Abyss world grew stronger, doing the same things at that time would become slightly easier.
Thus, according to the situation at the time, Zhou Tian thought for a while and decided not to target those top-tier worlds immediately but hesitated for a while before heading toward the Paradise world.
Considering the situation then, Zhou Tian’s choice to target the Paradise world was not surprising.
First, Zhou Tian had previously dealt with the Paradise world, and although his invasion actions failed, through several invasions, Zhou Tian had gained a certain understanding of the Paradise world. Although the internal environment of the Paradise world was not conducive to his invasion, given the current differences in the strength of the Abyss world, if Zhou Tian really wanted to take down the Paradise world, he might have hope of achieving it even through a direct assault.
Secondly, comparing the strength of the Paradise world to those top-tier worlds, it was slightly weaker, but its strength was still considerable. If Zhou Tian could truly annex the Paradise world, then when facing those top-tier worlds, he might not be able to annex them, but he certainly wouldn’t suffer losses.
The last and most important point is, Zhou Tian suffered significant losses at the hands of the Paradise world, so he certainly hoped to regain a foothold. Although the evolution of the Divine Realm’s consciousness was disastrous for Zhou Tian, from another perspective, it could also be considered an opportunity for him.
The evolution of the Divine Realm’s consciousness was indeed disadvantageous for Zhou Tian. As soon as the intelligence of the Divine Realm’s consciousness evolved to a certain level, once it learned how to utilize its power against Zhou Tian, Zhou Tian would have no way to resist the Divine Realm. In that scenario, if Zhou Tian were to confront that evolved Divine Realm’s consciousness, he would inevitably face defeat.
However, although the evolution of the Divine Realm’s consciousness was generally disadvantageous for Zhou Tian, during the process of evolution, it was certain that there could be no disturbance. Therefore, if something were to happen, as long as it did not threaten the safety of the Divine Realm, the consciousness would not likely pay attention.
Although Zhou Tian couldn’t determine the actions of the Divine Realm’s consciousness, he could estimate its likely reactions. Because Zhou Tian could estimate what the Divine Realm’s consciousness would do, he quickly devised a counterattack method in response to the consciousness evolution of the Divine Realm.
Zhou Tian was aware of the consciousness evolution of the Divine Realm, primarily because he ruled the Abyss world, and during the clashes between the Abyss world and the Divine Realm, Zhou Tian could surely observe all changes in the Divine Realm’s consciousness.
Conversely, while Zhou Tian could be aware of the changes in the Divine Realm’s consciousness, those Divine Kings at the time were unlikely to know about those things. Perhaps their strength wasn’t much weaker than Zhou Tian’s, but they hadn’t merged their consciousnesses into a world, so they were surely ignorant of the changes in the Divine Realm’s consciousness.
Generally, the evolution or non-evolution of the Divine Realm’s consciousness was of no consequence to those Divine Kings, as such changes were too distant for them. As long as the Divine Realm’s consciousness wasn’t against them, the Kings wouldn’t concern themselves with its changes. Regardless of the changes, those Divine Kings could continue their own lives.
But now everything was different because those Divine Kings had Zhou Tian as an enemy. Given the circumstances, even though the evolution of the Divine Realm’s consciousness was unrelated to the Divine Kings previously, now it potentially endangered their lives.
One can imagine that if those Divine Kings knew about Zhou Tian’s information, what kind of response would they have?
There’s no need to think too much; if they acquired the news of Zhou Tian, those Divine Kings opposing him would certainly rush to confront him immediately.
Although those Divine Kings had made several attempts before to eliminate Zhou Tian, leading to their repeated failures, it’s exactly because they kept failing against him that their grudges deepened, realizing Zhou Tian was far stronger than anticipated.
Based on Zhou Tian’s current performances, if given sufficient time to grow, no one knows to what extent Zhou Tian could evolve. But one thing is certain: if Zhou Tian truly evolved to a very high level, those Divine Kings would likely lack the ability to resist.
Undoubtedly, those Divine Kings would not allow such a situation to arise, because, let alone the Divine Kings, even ordinary living beings value their lives. In situations where their lives were threatened, they’d find ways to eliminate any threats, and given the situation then, the stronger Zhou Tian’s displayed strength and potential appeared, the less likely those Kings would spare him.
Of course, under regular circumstances, those Divine Kings wouldn’t dare provoke Zhou Tian. (To be continued.
