Giles ran to the entrance of the academy and immediately heard Yang Fei shout a national curse.

In that instant, he felt a surge of emotion and almost teared up.

Damn it, this little bastard is back, he didn't die!

Giles and Sam rushed forward, giving Yang Fei a bear hug.

Chunzi joyously circled around Yang Fei's feet.

After not seeing Yang Fei for days, Chunzi missed him so much that its size had noticeably fallen.

However, this was only relatively speaking. Chunzi was still too fat to move properly.

For it, rolling was faster than running forward.

Giles held Yang Fei tightly, patting his shoulder with a slightly choking voice.

"It's good to be back, as long as you're alive, that's what matters."

The series of heavy blows almost broke Giles' mental defenses.

The sight of Guo Jing returning brought him an unexpected joy.

Yang Fei was taken aback, thinking the old man who had always been harsh with him suddenly seemed like he was greeting his own son.

He suspiciously looked at Giles and took off the bag from his back.

"Old man, you want a reward, no need to be so pretentious, with tears and all?"

"This whole bag of Blood Dragon Stones was found in the Sunset Mountain Range, rumored to be quite precious and essential for creating gene fluid above Level Six."

He tossed it generously at Giles' feet.

"Take this and stop crying."

Giles' eyes reddened. Before he could speak, Sam slapped the back of Yang Fei's head.

"Fatty, what are you saying? Can you even talk properly?"

Yang Fei instantly flared up, holding his head and threatening to unleash the Monkey Steals Peach move.

"Old man, in a few days without seeing, your courage has grown, daring to lay a black hand on Fatty Master. Believe it or not, I'll crush your balls?"

Sam distanced himself from Yang Fei with a stern expression.

"I am the Grand Academician. If you dare lay a hand on me, you'll be expelled immediately."

As they bickered, Giles gestured for them to be quiet.

Yang Fei glared at Sam: "For the sake of the Old Dean, I won't argue with you."

Giles shook his head with a bitter smile.

"Guo Jing, don't blame Sam, he just bickered with you because he didn't want me to feel sad."

Yang Fei sighed, examining Giles, suddenly sensing something ominous.

"Old man, what's wrong? You look terrible. Were you injured?"

Sam interjected on the side, saying Yang Fei spoke nonsense without knowing the situation.

"Do you know that yesterday news came from the front-line that Laura's base was taken by the Dark Cross Army?"

"Laura led a squad of a hundred, and none broke through, their fate is unknown now."

Yang Fei jumped in shock, seeing Giles' weary face and red eyes, felt deeply guilty.

He patted Giles' shoulder, his tone becoming serious.

"Old man, don't worry, Laura is strong in Martial Arts, and her squad has strong solo combat skills too."

"Even if the position fell, they can surely break through."

Sam snorted: "That finally makes you sound sensible."

Giles nodded and took a deep breath.

"At this point, we can only hope for them to break through."

"That squad has many outstanding young students. Losing them would be a huge loss for our academy."

Sam comforted Giles on the side.

"Don't worry, Maggie has organized forces to fully rescue Laura's squad, it'll be okay for sure."

Yang Fei thought for a moment and then abruptly turned to leave.

Both Giles and Sam were shocked.

Giles called out to Yang Fei: "What are you planning?"

Yang Fei stood firmly in front of Giles.

"Laura is my superior, classmates from the First Brigade are fighting bloodily on the front line. I can't leave them trapped and do nothing, I need to rejoin them."

Giles looked seriously at Yang Fei.

"You came back against all odds and need rest and reorganization."

"Laura and her squad are already surrounded, it would take you a day to get there, too late for rescue, only risking falling into the enemy zone."

Yang Fei chuckled: "Others might be too late, but Fatty Master can reach the Caucasus Wasteland within two hours."

As he spoke, he activated Phoenix Wings, and Wind and Fire Wings sprouted from his ribs, blazing flames and wild winds.

Both Giles and Sam were stunned.

They were Spiritual Martial Arts Masters, experienced and knowledgeable, but had never seen such Divine Skills.

Yang Fei saluted the two Grand Academicians, great shout rang out, spread Wind and Fire Wings, soared into the sky like an arrow piercing the clouds.

The Caucasus Desert stretches thousands of miles, when viewed from above, resembles a giant gourd ladle sinking into the earth.

In this desert, no particularly tall mountains, hills, and barren desert area, occupy 80% of the landscape.

After the apocalypse, the enormous Caucasus Mountains collapsed and sank into the earth, forming a vast basin.

This is the area with the most severe radiation, where no plants grow, and it's completely barren, while being the area most active with Dark Creatures.

After the Caucasus Mountain Range sunk, it left behind deep gorges and fissures.

These places collect rainwater, forming wetlands and lowlands, while also leaving behind a lot of nuclear debris.

Many radiation-infected creatures remain active in these gorge areas.

Abundant water sources bring lush vegetation, forming a complete food chain here.

Yet, intense nuclear radiation turns surviving creatures into hideous and ferocious beings.

Thus, in the Human Federation Government's documents, this land is called the Realm of Sin.

On a hilltop overgrown with weeds, Laura knelt down holding a short sword.

The dim moonlight shone on her, casting her graceful and powerful shadow onto the ground.

Around Laura stood the Danube Squad and over 30 students.

After breaking through the encirclement from the fallen position, they fought their way and escaped to here.

Beneath the hill, bodies of Alien Soldiers pursuing them lay scattered.

The First Brigade members resting atop the hill were almost all injured.

Braggart Hans fell in the grass, a huge wound slashed across his belly nearly gutting him.

Jack stood guard, his left forearm hung limp, bones already broken.

Tall Ho Huaide carried a Gatling heavy machine gun on his back, not an Energy Gun, but a relic from the old days.

This time, if not for Ho Huaide's timely use of this grandpa-left treasure, they nearly couldn't escape.

Milan's face, white as beautiful jade, bore a shallow blood mark, left by the fierce Kuren Werewolf.

The vicious wolf's claws almost disfigured Milan.

But Milan seemed unaffected.

She didn't even check a mirror, utterly indifferent to what women care for the most, beauty.

Milan stared at the waning moon in the sky, her mind repeatedly thinking about that damned Fatty.

"How could he dare to sacrifice himself alone?"
