“Urgh... Why... would you...” Demens powerlessly mumbled, his legs blown off his torso.
“It’s simple, really. I needed to enter the world ranking, and you just happened to be the perfect prey,” the bloody Seong-Hwi replied as he walked toward Demens.
He smiled, but his gums and teeth were so bloody that it did not look like a smile. Although his enemy had been weakened via the Holy Blood of Degradation, minor injuries in a battle against a World Ranker were no different from coming out unscathed.
It means my efforts until now haven’t been for nothing! Seong-Hwi thought.
“You... have won... So... please... gather my... blood,” Demens begged, refusing to give up hope of surviving.
“You’re still alive, even without a heart? Vampires sure are as tenacious as cockroaches,” Seong-Hwi remarked as he smirked. He turned to the direction where he could feel thick bloodlust and said, “Good work, Wang Chen. Your acting was flawless.”
Wang Chen panted heavily, staring at Demens.
Demens mumbled, “Ca...nis... Help m—”
“I will keep my promise. You may begin,” Seong-Hwi interjected.
“GRAAAAAHHH!” roared Wang Chen, his eyes blood-red and fangs extended, as he ran toward Demens’s upper body and sank his fangs deep into Demens’s neck.
“You... bastard...”
Wang Chen transformed the more he drank Demens’s blood. His face, contorted by burn scars, was regenerated. His severed nose and partially torn lips returned to normal, his skin turned deathly pale, and blood sloshed from his blood-red eyes.
Wang Chen trembled intensely, swept by an irresistible orgasm after taking his fangs out of Demens’s neck.

Seong-Hwi looked around the party hall as Wang Chen experienced an extreme transformation. The vampires of the Rabies bloodline, who had partially recovered from the effects of the Dragonblood Poison, stared at the body of Demens in shock.
“Kurgh! Argh! M-Marquis... Demens!”
“You... damn human!”
“What... in the...”
They couldn’t believe that the Madblood Marquis had lost to a human.
“Cheon Seong-Hwi has defeated Demens Rabies! Wipe out the remaining vampires!” Gerard shouted as he manipulated his Steel Piano Wire.
His white hair was disheveled from battle, and his blood-red eyes and fangs made him look like a vampire.
“C-Cheon Seong-Hwi?”
“R-run away!”
“Tell the other bloodlines!”
“Ahhhhh!”
The surviving Rabies bloodline’s kin scattered to escape the party hall.
“No, you don’t!” Hector shouted.
“Stop right there!” Tae-Jin yelled.
As they were about to pursue the fleeing vampires, Seong-Hwi remarked, “Hector, Tae-Jin, leave them. I need them to be the envoys to spread word of my victory.”
He then turned to the groaning Demens, light slowly vanishing from his eyes.
“Though I’m sure some already know,” he mumbled as he extended his arm toward Demens and commanded, “Eat up.”
Desire, shining above the skies of Blood Castle, engulfed the flickering Blood of Madness, and the upper and lower bodies of the dying Demens began to be devoured by an unknown force. Demens writhed in pain until the unknown force devoured his head as well, and he vanished from existence.

Akasha Messages appeared one after another.
Seong-Hwi felt his destiny shining even brighter as he shouted ecstatically, “I’m finally... a World Ranker!”
He had made it to the leading group of the race at last, riding an unstoppable train.
***
Seong-Hwi killed Demens Rabies, and a few found out much faster than most.
“KYAHAHAHAHAHA! KYAHAHAHAHAHA!” A woman’s laughter instantly silenced the chatter throughout the Palace of Instinct’s party hall.
Handsome men of various races were gathered in the hall, each looking toward the terrace.
“Ehehehe? Is he dead? Is he seriously dead? Kyahahaha! Serves you right for bragging your mouth off about becoming a World Ranker, Demens!”
The black-haired woman laughing her butt off was Scite Amor. The purple star proudly shining above the Palace of Madness had vanished, and in its place was a silver star she had never seen before.
“Ehehe? What is that? Whose is it?” Scite mumbled as she transformed into thousands of bats. “I hope they’re a handsome man!”
***
The tune of a lyre filled the Palace of Tedium’s party hall.
“Stop,” said a woman sitting on a red sofa. “You play well, but... that’s about it. How should I say it? Your performance... doesn’t move me. What I want is an artist, not a technician.”
“M-my apologies,” said the man holding the lyre.
“Next.”
The man with the lyre stepped aside, and a man with an electric guitar played the arpeggio.
“Huuu... It’s no different.”
The woman in a white dress frowned as she lay on the sofa in boredom. She was tall, had pure white hair so long that it would reach her calves if she stood up, and had blood-red eyes, exuding elegance.
“It doesn’t matter whether you’re good at art or not. All that matters is whether you can move me,” she mumbled tediously.
Erzsebet Melos, the Phantom Duchess, looked out the window at the silver star shining as if inviting her to look at it.
“What a bother.”
***
“What... is that?” asked a handsome man with red eyes and white hair that reached his waistline.
“Bwehe! I’ve never seen that star before!” replied a man with curly white hair in colorful clothes, resembling a hippie.
He removed his sunglasses to look up at the sky, revealing a scar over his left eye and a violent gaze.
“Kererek! I have not seen it either,” said a well-built goblin with a goatee, roughly 160 centimeters tall.
Kekekek! Things are going rather well! Abyete thought.
He would have laughed out loud if it weren't for the two vampires before him. He was selected as the connection between the major superpower Necrophilia and Consanguineus, which was both an opportunity and a risk.
They judged that it’s much easier to throw me under the bus than Gula if things go awry.
Gula led Cadaver, a clan under Necrophilia’s banner. Humilitas, the goblin society, was under Cadaver’s banner. Since Humilitas wasn’t directly connected to Necrophilia, they could be cut out at any time.
But the situation is turning in my favor! Abyetye thought as he stared at the silver star in the sky above Blood Castle.
He had no idea whose star it was, but they had undoubtedly just killed Demens Rabies.
Now that the vampires have one less Recorder, my value will skyrocket!
It was the golden opportunity to develop ties to both Necrophilia and Consanguineus. Abyete had only gone under Cadaver’s banner to earn opportunities to write history, not particularly because of loyalty.
I will earn some causality during my time in Blood Castle!
As Abyete was thinking, the handsome white-haired man, Haema Sanguis, mumbled, “Sun Wolf King... Have you made your move?”
“Fwee! Let’s investigate the scene first, Brother,” said Berto Motus beside him as he whistled.
Haema nodded and said, “Gather the Purebloods.”

Two men of large stature chatted with one another in a dark alley of Blood Castle.
“Oi, tiger.”
“What, wolf?”
“Do you think that belongs to the guy your brat mentioned?”
“How the hell should I know?”
One of them was covered entirely by a black robe, and the other was a tiger beastfolk with an orange base and black stripes—no, he was more of a black tiger because his black stripes covered much more surface area than his orange fur.
“Oi, brat. Is that the Cheon Seong-Hwi guy you mentioned?” asked the robed individual as he turned to the alley wall.
“G-growl. I genuinely have no clue... what you mean,” replied Tigrinus, kneeling with his arms up in front of the wall.
AHHHHH! What the hell is going on?! Tigrinus shouted inwardly, terrified because of the two individuals before him.
He had been persuaded by Seong-Hwi’s request and Tae-Jin’s goading to find the wolf beastfolk of Sol, and he managed to lock onto their scent rather quickly.
Yeah, it was the smell of wolf beastfolk, alright... But it had to be the scent of Master Pseraslav of all people!
Tigrinus had been tailing the Sun Wolf King without even realizing it, and had been subdued quicker than the blink of an eye.
“Who is this kitty? You have the gall to tail me? Oi, do you have a death wish?”
Tigrinus had to beg for his life, rubbing his hands together so hard that it burned his pink paws. He was then dragged somewhere by his neck only to find his savior.
I never thought Master Ranko, the Night Tiger, would be here, of all places!
Ranko, the great Night Tiger, was third in the beastfolk ranking and one of Barbaria’s proud World Rankers.
“Hey, stop bullying the kid. He probably can’t even see the star,” Ranko remarked.
“M-Master Ranko!” Tigrinus expressed gratitude as he slowly lowered his arms.
“The fuck?” Pseraslav glared at Tigrinus, who gasped and immediately raised his arms back up. “In any case, it looks like they lessened our workload. Demens’s star fell.”
“Fell? If I saw it correctly... Wasn’t it eaten?” Ranko remarked.
Pseraslav remained silent; he had witnessed it as well.
He wondered, A star eating another star... Is that even possible?
He had never even heard of such an occurrence.
“In any case, it would be great if we could bring that Recorder to our side,” Ranko said.
“Ursi and Pippin refused, and Gargantua’s participation isn’t confirmed either, so we need everyone we can get,” Pseraslav replied.
Ranko nodded as he turned to Tigrinus and said, “Oi, get up.”
“Yes, sir!” Tigrinus shouted as he sprang up.
“Cheon Seong-Hwi, was it? Take us to him.”

Six humans ran down a dark corridor. They were members of the intelligence division who were approaching what they suspected to be the cask storage. The Arab Suleiman chatted with the short black man, Roger Cross.
“Who could have imagined there was such a space in an ancient castle’s abandoned basement?”
“The other suppliers each went to the palaces with which they were contracted, but they specifically ordered Blood Cross to leave their carriages here. Anyone would find it suspicious.”
“It could be a cask storage specifically for the Seven Purebloods.”
“Shh! There is someone three hundred meters ahead of us,” said the blonde Etxeberria as her eyes that turned white flashed.
Her D Weapon, See-thru Contact Lens, possessed the unique skill Pass Eye, allowing her to see through walls.
“Send the call, Carly,” she said.
The red-haired woman, Carly, nodded as she summoned and wore her D Weapon, Wireless Headset.
[Activating Unique Skill: Skype.]
—Ah, ahh! Can everyone hear me?
—Loud and clear.
—Yup.
—I can hear you.
Once the intelligence division members were connected via Skype, Etxeberria relayed the next order.
—It’s about time for stealth, Roger.
—Roger, Roger.
Roger replied playfully as he summoned his D Weapon, Mimic Octopus. The octopus rose into the air as it extended its tentacles to wrap the members’ waists and activated a skill.
[Activating Unique Skill: Mimic.]
The six humans blended with the hallway background like chameleons.
“It sounds like something is happening outside. Is it some sort of event?”
“Who cares? We can’t even enjoy the Night of the Full Moon.”
“Tch! Just my luck for becoming the Canis of a low-status master.”
The two men who seemed to be Cani walked past the six humans, unable to detect them.
—Fucking morons. They’re being treated like the vampires’ goons.
—Don’t mind them, Roger. Let us advance.
The intelligence division members slowly walked down the corridor. Etxeberria scouted with Pass Eye, Carly’s Skype allowed for prompt communication, and they evaded the guards with Roger’s Mimic. However, they soon came across a giant obstacle—a giant steel door wide enough for two carriages to pass simultaneously.
—Damn! It’s a steel door!
—It looks pretty damn thick.
—There’s a keyhole here. It’s your turn, Ilia.
There was a smaller door beside the steel door for people to travel through. The large white man, Ilia Volok, walked toward the small door and summoned his D Weapon, Almighty Multipurpose Tool.
[Activating Unique Skill: Open Tool.]
A silver fluid flowed out of the Almighty Multipurpose Tool and entered the keyhole.
—It sure is fascinating, no matter how many times I see it.
—I always find it hilarious that a mountain like this guy does these meticulous tasks.
—Kekekek!
Ilia focused, paying no mind to Suleiman and Roger.
—Done. The key is complete.
—Open it now. There’s no one on the other side.
Ilia opened the door, trusting Etxeberria’s command. Beyond the door were traces that anyone could recognize.
—What is... all this?
—So many bloodstains.
—What the hell happened here?
The blood on the floor was still wet.
—Ma Sang-Sik, Etxeberria called.
Sang-Sik nodded and summoned his D Weapon, Zippo Lighter of Memories, and lit it.
[Activating Unique Skill: Crime Scene.]
The intelligence division members’ expressions stiffened as they witnessed the scene playing out.
