Curiositas divided the Chaos into eight ranks: Shen, Lapang, Segal, Adora, Uluhatu, Hispar, Lang, and Bachtasha. Among them, Hispar-rank and above could use os skills and apply unique elements to their Chaos Mana.

The os was the core of the Chaos. It was both their weakness and an orb where their Chaos Mana was the most concentrated. Because of that, Chaos of Hispar-rank and above, who could freely utilize their os, were difficult to deal with. It had been so for Meliades, the Shadow Fairy Queen, and Adolf Hixler, the assistant director of Werishaupt Research Institute.

The Shell of Tellus was almost a Lang-rank Chaos, but it didn’t have the sense of reason to use its os, Seong-Hwi thought. Then how well can a Bachtasha-rank Chaos utilize their os? What about me, who devoured the Bachtasha-rank Chaos, Ajingya?

“Cosmos, huh?” Seong-Hwi mumbled to himself as he looked around the Aether Plane, the mystical cosmic scenery resembling glitter, sprinkled throughout black linen.

The Chaos Mana he had taken from Ajingya looked identical to the scenery.

“What are the Chaos?” Seong-Hwi asked the fundamental question.

They were the race that fought against every other race in the Mirror World. They could corrupt existing races to increase their own numbers, or even be born from their negative emotions. They seemed to hold the ultimate directive to corrupt all races and turn them into Chaos. The Chaos had already taken the race stones of various races, turning every member of that race into Chaos.

But why? Why are they trying to turn other races into Chaos? Is it their own way of developing the next generation?

Seong-Hwi shook his head, unable to come up with an answer, and focused his mind entirely on the present issue.

“Can I use the race skill of the Chaos?” he wondered.

It was theoretically possible. He had used the angels’ Orbis Repulsio, the goblins’ Sorcery Reversal, and the fairies’ Harmony Rainbow. Hence, he should be able to use a Chaos race skill.

But to use an os skill, which isn’t simply a race skill... I need to have an os, too.

There was no way that Seong-Hwi had an os. However, a desperate voice from a memory echoed inside his head.

“That cannot be! There isn’t a shadow of a doubt in my mind that you have an os! If you didn’t, you wouldn’t be able to use the Cosmos!”

“There are more secrets about my body that I don’t know... Hah, for fuck’s sake. I’m getting sick of it,” Seong-Hwi mumbled.

He had yet to solve the mysteries of why he possessed hexagonal genes or why only he could use Destiny Force. He would not even be surprised at this point if he found out he possessed an os all along.

Seong-Hwi outstretched his arms with his palms up as if lifting the void that was the Aether Plane. His Destiny Force moved, removing all doubt and opacity of the future. The power of destiny blew away the fog in his mind like the wind, filling him with a premonition, certainty, and expectation.

I... have an os. I’ve always had one. I’ve had it from the beginning. Haven’t I used it many times already?

The deja vu and epiphany made him feel as if he were on cloud nine, and he realized what he needed to do. He outstretched his right hand and grabbed a small star resembling a firefly light. The star in his hand flashed with a blinding light.

[Operating Wings of Evolution.]

[Fifteen Wings.]

Fifteen blade-like wings sprouted from his back.

[Converting Destiny Force to Blood Force.]

[Converting Destiny Force to Chaos Mana.]

[Converting Destiny Force to Harmony Force.]

Seven wings on Seong-Hwi’s left side were dyed blood-red, their veins pulsing like blood vessels. On the other hand, the seven wings on his right side looked like stars in the night sky, scattering an unsettling aura. Lastly, the remaining wing shone with an iridescent light, harmonizing the two auras.

His enormous S(47) Destiny Force filled his entire body, and his konpeito-resembling star, Desire, rose above Blood Castle’s sky. The pen and ink were ready, and all that remained was to write history.

Huuup!” Seong-Hwi grunted as he brought his hands forward.

[Activating Os Skill: Ruina.]

[Activating Race Skill: Blood Mist.]

Ruina, the os skill that caused the debuff corruption, gathered into a ball in his right hand as it held the Cosmos, the Chaos Mana of a Bachtasha-rank Chaos. Blood Mist, an infamous vampire race skill that Haema Sanguis had often used together with Rust of Ruin in his past life, gathered around his left hand.

Here I go! Seong-Hwi shouted inwardly as he clasped his hands together.

A thunderous sound echoed from the clash of Blood Force and Chaos Mana.

Now! Seong-Hwi thought as he activated a skill.

[Activating Race Skill: Harmony Rainbow.]

A beautiful iridescent rainbow softly wrapped Seong-Hwi’s clasped hands. The clashing subsided, gradually harmonizing Blood Mist and Ruina and creating a dark red substance.

[Disease: Chaos Scurvy produced.]

It worked! Seong-Hwi thought.

He had artificially created chaos scurvy, a disease born from the mixture of Blood Force and Chaos Mana. It was only possible because Seong-Hwi could use Blood Force, Chaos Mana, and Harmony Force. Haema could have never imagined that an individual could create chaos scurvy.

Seong-Hwi yelled with delight as he outstretched his hands toward the detached palace. The dark red mist holding the chaos scurvy instantly filled the palace.

Hm? What’s this? Smoke? Mist?”

Urgh! Corruption! It’s mixed with Chaos Mana!”

“Shit! This is chaos scurvy! Start circulating your mana now! We must chase it out of our bodies!”

Gasp! Wait, that’s not the issue right now! The residents have no resistance to chaos scurvy!”

The vampires who had been guarding the detached palace ran around the palace like boars struck by an arrow.

Huuuuu,” Seong-Hwi exhaled as he looked up at the sky and smiled.

Desire was shining brightly, imbuing the dark red mist with a fatalistic power. The future had been decided, and the Akashic Messages he had been waiting for appeared one after another.

...

Ahahaha!” Seong-Hwi laughed out loud after confirming his plan was a huge success.

He had dealt a devastating blow to a hostile race that saw humans as nothing but livestock.

“I’d love to see the look on Haema Sanguis’s face right now. I’d bet it would be more entertaining than a weekend drama!”

He laughed for a little longer and turned around as he thought about the next plan.

All that’s left is to rescue the kidnapped people and escape Blood Castle. Has everyone completed their preparations? If everything goes according to plan, the Sēmen won’t be able to—Hm?

Seong-Hwi suddenly felt an explosive wave of mana and turned to its source. A pillar of black flames surged toward the sky alongside a giant explosion.

“Demon Force? I’ve... felt it somewhere before,” he mumbled.

He changed his destination from the ruins of the central ancient castle to the source of the black flame pillar. He needed to check even the smallest of anomalies. After all, negligence in the Mirror World often led to one’s demise.

[Activating Unique Skill: Hellfire Pillar.]

Kikikik! I’ve missed this! The smell of burning flesh!” a man shouted as the black flames burned the fleeing vampires, reducing them to ash.

The Hellfire Pillar generated a heat storm, blowing off the black robe of the man who had his arms outstretched. His skin was pitch black with red cracks like heat rays, and he had two horizontal horns like the arms of a scarecrow sprouting from his temples.

“Enough of this, Taizet. Let us withdraw. I don’t know why, but the closure has begun,” said Glasya-Labolas as he removed his silver monocle that had been dirtied by the ash blown on it by the heat storm.

Why is Blood Castle closing? Is this the Ninth Fiend’s doing? I don’t understand what’s going on. And where the hell is that damn goblin? he wondered.

“Allow me to wipe that for you, Master,” said Hee-Gyeong, standing beside Glasya-Labolas like his attendant.

She received the monocle from him and wiped it with a clean cloth.

Kikik! You want me to stop having fun, after you two got to play to your heart’s content? I don’t think I can!” Taizet shouted as he activated another skill.

[Activating Unique Skill: Hellfire Threefold.]

He cackled as he threw three giant black fireballs as if playing around.

“Then you can stay here, Hellfire. I won’t help you even if you’re captured. You aren’t a member of Necrophilia yet, after all,” said Glasya-Labolas as he received the clean monocle from Hee-Gyeong and turned around. “Hm?”

He noticed a black silhouette blatantly approaching from behind them, in the opposite direction of those fleeing.

Dammit, are they a Pureblood? This is all because of that moron! Glasya-Labolas shouted inwardly.

This was the problem with demons—always doing whatever they desired without thinking about the aftermath. Glasya-Labolas cursed the moronic and impulsive demon, forgetting he was also a demon.

“Well, well, I thought this aura felt familiar,” said the approaching black silhouette.

He was wearing military cargo pants, black boots, and a black hoodie. A fairy with golden hair, golden eyes, and an oddly large number of wings was hopping on his shoulder.

“Wow! Second Knight, Second Knight! Are those the fireworks I’ve heard so much about?” the fairy shouted.

“Echo, I told you to stay inside my pocket. It’s dangerous,” the man said.

Whine, you’re so cold, Second Knight... But you’re kind, too! Hehe!”

What? He’s not a vampire. A human and a fairy? Glasya-Labolas wondered as he wore his item, Specter Monocle, to examine the subject’s information.

He’s a superior-caliber human, and—

“A Recorder?!” Glasya-Labolas shouted, his eyes widening.

A human Recorder? I heard Lee Kang-San was dead!

Oh, Card...” Hee-Gyeong trailed off from beside Glasya-Labolas.

Glasya-Labolas turned to her and asked, “Card?”

“Yes, Master. That man is Cheon Seong-Hwi. He is number one in the human ranking, and... the strongest man I know.”

“Cheon Seong-Hwi? Oh, I’ve heard of him. He is the human representative of Underground,” Glasya-Labolas remarked as he examined the approaching Seong-Hwi.

Both the Steel King and Elementum are members of Underground... It is not a force to underestimate. Come to think of it... he trailed off in his thoughts.

He recalled the silver star that resembled a chestnut burr, taking down Demens’s star a few days prior.

“I see, he was the one who killed Demens,” he mumbled.

In other words, the human was at war against Consanguineus.

We’ve promised to collaborate with Consanguineus. Then... Is he an enemy? Glasya-Labolas thought as he shaped his hand into a hook.

Just then, the large demon landed behind him and said, “Kikik! Oi, you’re hurting my feelings, Glasya-Labolas! I’m already a member of Necrophilia. Hm?”

Taizet followed Glasya-Labolas’s gaze and saw the human he was looking at. His eyes and mouth widened, and his hands shook intensely.

HAAARRRGGGHHH!” Taizet shouted bizarrely as he took a step back. “T-t-t-the Supreme One’s cherished toy!”

“What?” Glasya-Labolas asked.

However, Taizet was in no condition to answer, barely holding on to his bladder control.

He quickly looked around and thought, Could he be here?

“It has been a while, Master Taizet, Demon of Hellfire,” Seong-Hwi respectfully greeted. “You stopped the birdfolk World Ranker, Remus, from attacking us back then, didn’t you? He was greatly satisfied by that.”

Seong-Hwi smiled as he dangled the bait in front of Taizet, who immediately took it.

“I-i-is that so? K-kikik. And where... is he?”

Seong-Hwi smiled widely and answered, “He is watching you from inside me.”

H-hughhh!” Taizet shouted, on the verge of tears. He immediately kneeled with his head on the ground and raised his arms as if lifting something. “O-O Venerable demon of demons! I am honored to have you watching me!”

“What the... Have you lost your mind, Taizet?” Glasya-Labolas mumbled as he stared at Taizet dumbfoundedly.
