"Super-tier magic?"

Casper stopped chanting and looked up at the clouds gathering overhead.

At the same time, the angel who had just arrived lifted its head. What did it mean that the moment I landed I was pinched into an instant blast?

The angel flapped what could barely be called wings and flew into the cloud layer. Plants began to spread through the clouds, but they were quickly swallowed by even thicker vapor.

Even angels could not stop super-tier magic.

"Hurry, stop Loren!"

The Pope felt a wave of suffocation. That mass of black cloud seemed to press on his chest; no matter how he tried to hide, it was useless.

"Headmaster Casper, help us!"

Seeing Casper still staring vacantly at the sky, the Pope couldn't help but roar in anger.

None of that mattered anymore; all that was left in his eyes was fanaticism:

"That suffocating... oppressive feeling... not even an angel can stop it... Is this what super-tier magic is..."

Casper's voice grew louder and louder, and his words only made the others more terrified:

"It seems we are all doomed, with no escape... hahahaha... My life's pursuit was not in vain! Super-tier magic is worth my whole life!"

"Damn..."

The Pope could no longer manage Casper. He gave up hiding and chose to fight Loren with everything he had.

As Casper said, in the face of super-tier magic, they had no way out.

By now Loren was buried under all sorts of bizarre plants, yet he merely stepped forward, passing right through the vegetation and emerging completely unharmed.

"Time's almost up. If you can't stop me, be prepared to die."

Orianna had already gone invisible and stood nearby, which allowed Loren to see the situation clearly.

"Master Mentor..."

"Move."

Mirrorheart saw that Naclis wanted to run back to help Loren, so she quickly grabbed her hand and dragged her as they ran into the distance:

"The master knows what he's doing. A mere angel can't touch him.

"Even if he can control super-tier magic and doesn't strike us, the extent is limited. Our job is to get farther away first."

"Whoever blocks us dies!"

Anna swung her scythe with no gaps, cutting down anyone who tried to stop them like reaping wheat. The blood that spilled swirled around the group, shielding them from incoming spells.

"What is that thing..."

Corolla was so terrified she felt numb in her limbs, but she understood the situation and still ran desperately.

The Church members' magic was dangerous but not terrifying. Anna's methods, however, were a little frightening...

It was night now, and Luna's arcane ability was boosted. She and Anna opened a path for everyone, one on each side.

But Luna's methods were much gentler; at the very least, she didn't chop people to pieces.

The others' arcane abilities had little to do with direct combat, but they still used magic or firearms to deal with some enemies.

By now, everyone realized this was the witches' power. They had only heard of it before; this was their first time witnessing the witches' horror.

A sea of blood—this was no exaggeration. Anna had drawn the blood from the dead and gathered it into a tide.

"So many of them... fortunately just cannon fodder."

Anna's eyes were bloodshot with fury. Even though no one was daring to stop them now, she still killed enemies at a distance proactively.

The true elites had gone to stop Loren. Compared to the coming super-tier magic, these deaths were mere skirmishes.

"Breakout successful. Where do we head next?"

They had burst out, and no one dared chase them now. Anna was somewhat reluctant but still understood the need to prioritize the bigger picture.

"To the sea. Get out to the water, head east.

"We have the Abyssal Gaze Eye on us. The master can see us. Don't worry about him finding us."

With Loren absent, Mirrorheart naturally took command. Though usually scatterbrained, she remained the master's original steward.

"Okay..."

Luna glanced toward the Royal Capital. She worried about Loren, and she worried about her parents.

...

"Let me!"

The Pope cut them off and rushed to Loren's side personally.

The previous Pope had died in office, so this current Pope valued his life greatly. But now, to survive, he had to act himself.

Magic gathered in his hand; he was only a step from Loren's neck.

Just when he thought he had succeeded, his whole body passed through Loren's frame. The Pope, unable to stop himself, crashed to the ground in an utterly humiliating heap.

The plants his hand had touched instantly began to rot; the whole area lost its vitality.

His judgment had been wrong: not even melee attacks worked on Loren.

"Are your attacks finished? It's my turn."

Now the moon and stars were obscured and the world had plunged into darkness.

The spellbook suspended before Loren lost its mana and fell to the ground, while simultaneously the magic finally activated.

"Super-tier Magic: Abyssal Sea Collapse!"

Loren raised both hands high and shouted the spell's name.

This time, however, Loren did not use the Strength Card's power. He not only failed to add damage, he was struggling to contain the magic's force.

He only wanted to kill those who had tried to harm him, not to wipe out everyone in the Royal Capital. He had not forgotten that Luna's parents were still in the capital.

If Loren did not restrain it, forget the capital—the entire Gedlan Kingdom might be destroyed.

The phrase "the sky fell" was literal—this was the first thought that struck people when they witnessed the Abyssal Sea Collapse.

When Abyssal Sea Collapse was triggered, the ocean would fall from the sky. This process took several minutes.

But before the sea actually fell, the pressure descended first, pinning them in place so they could not move.

"Super-tier magic!"

Aside from Loren, only Casper still stood on the battlefield.

The pressure had already begun to crush his body; skin split and blood welled out, yet he still stared fixedly at the sky, afraid to miss any detail.

Loren did not leave. He kept shrinking the area affected by the Abyssal Sea Collapse, to the point that the mana he consumed exceeded the mana required to cast the super-tier magic itself.

With events this monumental, ordinary people naturally noticed and fled as fast as they could. They had ample evacuation experience, and now there was no one else nearby.

Those minutes felt like centuries to Casper.

He was about to die, but he kept telling himself he couldn't, so his body had completely ruptured.

In the end, he finally witnessed the moment the magic descended.

The ocean fell from the sky. The angel was crushed beneath the seabed; its body had been turned into a pulp.
