"Starnight..."

Orianna had already lost control, leaving Loren with only the Abyssal Gaze Eye to observe the situation.

Mirrorheart urged Scarlett to release Gwen as well, so that Loren could get a clearer view of what was happening through her.

Gwen was indeed far more fragile than Orianna, unable to even participate in battles of this caliber, but at least she could help Loren observe the situation.

The situation was dire. Naclis and the others had yet to break free from the God of Dreams' control, and to make matters worse, Naclis actually wore a delighted expression:

"Master Mentor! We won! We killed the angel!"

She looked genuinely happy, as if she had finally proven herself capable of standing on her own, completely oblivious to the Freedom Angel that looked like an abstract painting.

At this point, anyone capable of fighting had fallen into the Dream Angel's illusions. The only ones still lucid were Mirrorheart, Lilith, Scarlett, and Starnight, who had flown into the sky.

The Angel of Light, having dealt with Orianna, soared back into the air, preparing to use its authority to kill everyone.

The ground and trees had also come to life. The God of Bountiful Harvest, which had been relentlessly suppressed, finally activated its own authority. The earth writhed, making even standing upright a struggle.

Gwen glanced at Starnight charging toward the Angel of Light, then at Naclis about to be attacked by the Freedom Angel, and finally made her decision.

"Cassian, God of Pleasure! Lend me your power!"

Gwen swung her hand, unleashing a Blood Moon Condensed Light worth a thousand mana points to repel the Freedom Angel, while simultaneously uttering the God of Pleasure's name.

Now, the only one who could help Loren was the God of Pleasure, a deity that could be summoned without any ritual.

"As you command, my Master Mentor."

A voice laced with amusement echoed in Loren's mind. The next moment, Loren suddenly felt an overwhelming sense of omnipotence.

Gwen ran straight into the sky, as if invisible steps materialized beneath her feet as long as she didn't look down.

But the other angels weren't about to let Loren charge ahead. A fierce gale surged, tearing Gwen's body apart in an instant. At the same time, the entire world plunged into darkness for Loren.

The Angel of Night and the Angel of Wind had also made their move.

Gwen gouged out her own eyeball, hurled it high into the air with her remaining arm, and then her whole body was blasted down by the gale.

The thrown eyeball regained its sight, freely hovering in the sky.

The eyeball watched as Gwen, torn to pieces, frantically caught her severed arms and legs mid-air after being struck down, hastily reattaching them to her body.

Then the eyeball suddenly emitted a suction force, pulling Gwen back. But just as Gwen returned to the air, Starnight was completely swallowed by a blinding radiance.

Before Loren could react, a blazing light struck Gwen, and she was blasted back by the wind again. This time, she didn't even have a chance to throw her eyeball.

"Starnight..."

Gwen stared blankly at the sky above. Even Loren couldn't react in time as she crashed through a massive tree.

Before Loren could recover, Paqina let out a scream.

And it wasn't just her—everyone except Mirrorheart was in agony. Anna propped herself up with her scythe, refusing to fall. Reflection Naclis had already reverted to shadow, supporting her original body's form.

As for Scarlett, she had already fainted.

The culprit behind all this was the Angel of Pain. It draped its own intestines over its arm and sawed at them relentlessly with a blade, producing an eerie, discordant melody.

As the God of Freedom appeared before Gwen, Loren even lost control of her.

Through the Abyssal Gaze Eye, Loren could see that the angels had all readjusted themselves. His earlier attacks had barely any effect on them.

Once the other angels entered the fray, the tide of battle reversed instantly. They had no power to resist.

Even with Loren hastily borrowing Cassian's power, it was hopeless.

Loren never expected this situation. Nine gods would actually risk backstabbing each other to join forces against him—their very natures would never allow it.

If not for the eight angels besides the Angel of Light still keeping their guard up against one another, the witches would never have lasted this long.

Loren was already prepared to summon the Child of Nature. His vision blurred as he moved at a speed so fast he couldn't even believe it himself.

Just as they prepared to strike, the Angel of Light crashed down. But it wasn't a graceful landing—it was smashed into the ground by something, its body reduced to fragments.

A melodious cry followed, a sound seemingly from the ancient past, and the world was plunged into night.

This wasn't the same darkness brought by the Angel of Night. This was true night, a starry night where constellations blazed brilliantly.

All the angels looked up at once. They saw a stretch of starry sky. At the same time, Loren regained control of Gwen and looked up as well.

A Starry Sky Whale. Suddenly, a Starry Sky Whale had appeared in the sky. Its colossal body blotted out the heavens, plunging the land into darkness.

The stars dotting the sky were nothing more than its body. The Starry Sky Whale cried out again, and this time, its call was filled with fury.

Through the puppet, Loren saw the whale's eyes.

"Starnight..."

Loren recognized the Starry Sky Whale's true identity. It was Starnight.

Starnight opened her mouth, and a river of stars poured forth, crashing into the Angel of Pain. In an instant, its body began to disintegrate, as if struck by a barrage of meteors.

Within seconds, it was reduced to fragments, and the other witches were finally freed.

"Die!"

The recovered Anna didn't even bother wiping away her sweat before slashing her scythe at the Angel of Confusion, which was closest to her.

The Angel of Confusion barely turned its head before a long blade forged from shadow pierced through its back. Naclis had also recovered.

Starnight shifted her aim. The river of stars sprayed toward the Angel of Wind, and like the Angel of Pain, its body began to dissolve upon contact.

But this time, it wasn't shattered. The river of stars abruptly stopped midway, and even Starnight's body began to shrink rapidly.

Loren quickly understood what was happening. She wasn't a true Starry Sky Whale. A real Starry Sky Whale's size was at least a thousand times larger. She had merely used her Arcane Ability to temporarily transform into one.

And the transformation consumed far too much energy. She was nearly exhausted.

Seeing this, all the angels flew into the air simultaneously. They understood that the other witches posed no real threat—their greatest danger was Starnight.

Even the Angel of Confusion, which had been pinned down by Anna and Naclis, suddenly Void-walked, breaking free and soaring into the sky.

All the angels attacked at once. A barrage of bizarre assaults rained down on Starnight. Her enormous body had nowhere to dodge. She couldn't even maintain her transformation anymore, and she reverted into a young girl with green hair and a white dress, plummeting from the sky.

This was the first time Loren had seen her true form.

The Angel of Wind wasn't about to let this perfect chance for revenge slip away. It was the first to reach Starnight's side, conjuring a spear of condensed gale. Even the people on the ground could feel the unstoppable sharpness of that weapon.

Just as despair crept into their hearts, they heard that endlessly reassuring voice:

"You've worked hard, Starnight."

Loren held Starnight in one arm, and with the other hand, he gripped the Angel of Wind's throat. The spear it had just conjured dissipated into nothing.
