Monsters Die When Killed

Chapter 480 - 3: Elemental Era

Before summing up his gains, there was one thing that had to be mentioned: Yara’s size.

Ever since Su Zhou had formed his True Body, Yara had been hiding among the scales of the Wingless Great Dragon, drinking its fill of blood. Now, it had grown quite large.

His Heartless Iron Hand pulled the somewhat reluctant Snake Spirit from his clothes. Su Zhou frowned, staring at the little snake dangling from his finger...

’No, I can’t call it a little snake anymore!’

Now, Yara was as thick as his thumb and as long as his arm—hardly any different from a normal snake!

Coiled up, it was as big as a tomato!

"Yara, you’ve gotten so big you can’t hide in my hair anymore. What are we going to do? Am I supposed to carry you around in a little pouch?"

Su Zhou and the Snake Spirit stared at each other, wide-eyed. His tone made it sound like he was about to go online and buy a small portable pouch. He pictured himself walking around with a little bag hanging from his waist or neck, and his expression turned quite serious.

Yara also frowned at the thought. ’It would be like I’m a baby kangaroo.’ It immediately shook its head. "There’s no need for that. Why make things so complicated?"

"My snake form is just a habit. My true form is just a slime made from your blood!"

Su Zhou asked, "Yara, what are you trying to say?!"

Yara announced, "Su Zhou, I’m done being a snake!"

As soon as it finished speaking, Yara slithered to the top of Su Zhou’s head. The little red snake shimmered and transformed, then settled atop the young man’s head.

Su Zhou grabbed his phone and used the camera to look at himself. ’Still handsome,’ he thought. But aside from that, he noticed something new on his head: half of a black baseball cap, complete with a long, coiling logo.

It was called "half a cap" because only the front half of the baseball cap was there; the back half was mysteriously missing, leaving the hair at the back of his head uncovered. A casual passerby might not notice, but anyone who looked closely would probably think the cap was growing right out of Su Zhou’s hair!

Of course, this half-baseball-cap was Yara’s new transformed shape!

"Whoa! Awesome!"

Su Zhou exclaimed in amazement, "I didn’t know you could change color, too, Yara!"

Su Zhou already knew Yara could shapeshift; he’d seen it before when it turned into a stress ball in its sleep.

Yara responded, "So? This should be inconspicuous enough, right?"

To be honest, it wasn’t inconspicuous in the slightest. But Su Zhou didn’t need to hide Yara anymore. He was strong enough now to protect himself and those around him, so he boasted nonchalantly, "Of course it is! Just as I’d expect from you!"

His biggest gain from this trip to the Reincarnation World, however, was the Crystal of the New World he had obtained at the very end.

The Crystal of the New World was a diamond-shaped crystal that looked like a miniature galaxy. It had a pitch-black base, and within it, countless starlights flickered. Generally, any Crystal of the New World a person might find would be considered remarkable if it was the size of a grain of rice or a fingernail. Even at that size, it was enough to serve as a material for creating extremely small, easily concealed, large-capacity Spatial Equipment.

The Crystal of the New World Su Zhou had obtained, however, was a full fist-sized. Using the "Personal Space" Secret Technique that Yara had taught him, he used the crystal as the material for the Orbit. This transformed the entire Crystal of the New World into a Rune, which he then inscribed upon his Soul to open up a Soul Space. This new space initially measured four hundred meters in length, width, and height—large enough to fit an aircraft carrier!

Opening the Personal Space didn’t require any extra steps. Just like with Spiritual Vision, he only had to focus his mind and give himself a mental cue to open it with ease. The cue Su Zhou chose for himself was the image of swinging his Blade of Annihilation and slicing space open.

As for why he chose that cue, it was mainly because it was cool. Su Zhou liked it, and there was no other reason.

Su Zhou swung his Blade of Annihilation and opened his Personal Space. He could see that unlike a normal Personal Space or demiplane, it wasn’t initially empty. Thanks to his gains from the Reincarnation World, Su Zhou’s Personal Space already contained a complete cycle of the Four Great Elements.

A continent of brownish Earth Element, a pale blue spring of the Water Element at its center, a flame of the Fire Element hanging like a chandelier in the middle of the space, and a Gale swirling around this small cycle... Though still simple, it was an impressive sight.

"This is your new home now!"

Su Zhou easily moved the Wisdom Tree from the Shao Family’s Old Mansion into his Personal Space, taking all the Kunlun Soil from its base along with it. He placed it carefully beside the spring to bask in the light of the Fire Element. In the time Su Zhou had been away, the Wisdom Tree had grown enormous, just like an ancient tree in a primeval forest.

Although it was still a far cry from the Immortal Banyan Tree, which grew ten feet taller by day and seven feet longer by night, in another half a year, even the Shao Family’s Old Mansion wouldn’t have been able to conceal it.

"Ah! This is great!"

The transplanted Wisdom Tree’s Essence Soul rustled its branches and leaves, letting out clear but halting words of praise: "Su... amazing!"

"Heh, you know what to say!" Hearing the praise from the Wisdom Tree Essence Soul, Su Zhou patted its trunk in satisfaction, making the Wisdom Tree cry out, "Ow, ow, ow..." The young man continued, "You made a huge contribution on this trip to the Reincarnation World. I couldn’t have defeated the Water God without you. It’s just a shame the Demon Emperor Dragon Horn Long Spear was destroyed. Now I have to go find a new weapon."
