Chapter 1750: Chapter 1750: Photograph (2)
On the phone, the man’s voice was low and powerful. "Where are you?"
"I’ll be back in a bit, don’t worry about me." Gu Anjin’s tone was relaxed. "I already told you, I just came out to take a drive, nothing’s going to happen. Brother Siqing, Mr. Murphy’s son—what else is there for you to worry about?"
"He’s only a stepson, no one knows where he really came from. Jinjin, tell me where you are."
"Here you go again, coming to pick me up?" Gu Anjin deliberately shifted her tone. "I don’t want to tell you, and I don’t want you to pick me up. You can’t control my life like this while at the same time rejecting me. I’m telling you, I’ve had enough! Yue Siqing, I’ve already told you all this so many times. This time I’m not just mad in the moment and fine after you coax me. I don’t want to live like this for the rest of my life. Think it through yourself. Goodbye."
Without listening to what he had to say next, Gu Anjin decisively hung up the phone again.
For a long while her heartbeat didn’t calm down. She stared at the phone a little dazed.
She had hung up on Yue Siqing.
But the more she thought about the way he treated her every time, the more this act of hanging up on him felt downright satisfying.
The urge to keep him from finding her suddenly became urgent.
All of a sudden, she moved quickly, powering the phone off and then pulling the battery out.
"There’s a tracker?" Huo Xun’s voice came from beside her.
Gu Anjin put the dismantled phone back into her bag. "I don’t know."
If she pressed the emergency device, he could locate her immediately.
But as for whether there was a tracker in the phone itself, she honestly had no idea.

The car drove toward the outskirts near the airport. On the open ground ahead, people were scattered in small groups.
"No time to take you anywhere else. Remember what I just said—don’t get out of the car." Huo Xun stopped the car when they were still a short distance away.
"Who are those people over there? Where’s Song Yi?"
Huo Xun unbuckled his seat belt, his cold eyes narrowing slightly as he watched the stand-off in the distance. "Probably that idiot again. Song Yi should be fine for the moment. Wait here."
Gu Anjin nodded. "You... you be careful."
Even from afar, the vibes over there were off, the kind that didn’t look easy to deal with.
If something happened to Huo Xun, there was no way Song Yi would be able to send her back to Manchester as planned.
"You mean, me?" Huo Xun had just closed the car door when he heard her and was suddenly stunned. His hand was still resting on the window as he looked at her in disbelief.
Gu Anjin gave him a strange look.
Huo Xun suddenly laughed, the dark, chill in his eyes tinged with a wicked gleam. "I definitely won’t have an accident. Remember, don’t get out."
"I know, I won’t."
Watching him walk away, Gu Anjin stared fixedly in that direction.
If she had binoculars, maybe she could see a bit more clearly.
Maybe she could use a phone camera?
Just as she was about to take out her phone, she remembered she’d already taken the battery out, so that was obviously useless.
While she was feeling anxious, she caught sight of Huo Xun’s phone out of the corner of her eye.
He had just put his phone to the side, and hadn’t taken it with him when he got out.
Gu Anjin looked at the black phone, hesitated and hesitated again. When she saw that Huo Xun was already a bit far away, she picked his phone up.
At first she really had no intention of snooping; most people’s phones were locked anyway.
But even with the phone locked, the camera could still be used. She just wanted to zoom in and see what was going on over there.
