The elevator doors opened onto the executive floor of Nathan Industries.

Nobody stepped out and adjusted the sleeves of his office shirt as he looked down the long corridor. Morning sunlight poured through the enormous glass windows on one side of the building, spreading pale reflections across the polished floor. Employees moved between offices carrying folders and tablets while the distant sound of phones and conversations created the usual rhythm of a busy corporate headquarters.

Nobody walked toward Aiden’s office. He had barely taken a few steps when he noticed something unusual.

The normally relaxed employees seemed tense.

Two managers were speaking quietly near a conference room. Another employee stood beside a printer, staring at a document with a worried expression.

Nobody slowed down. "Hmm..."

The System appeared beside him.

Corporate Stress Level:

Elevated

Nobody raised an eyebrow. "You noticed that too?"

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

[Yes.]

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"Then maybe Aiden wasn’t overthinking things."

Nobody continued down the corridor. He reached Aiden’s office and knocked twice.

"Come in."

Nobody opened the door. "Yo."

Aiden looked up from behind his desk.

"Waddap?" Nobody walked inside with a casual smile. "Any issue?"

Aiden leaned back in his chair. "That’s exactly what I wanted to ask you."

Nobody stopped near the desk. "Me?"

Aiden picked up a folder. "You’re still handling the banking side of our company’s financial records, correct?"

"Yeah."

"Then I need you to tell me something." Aiden opened the folder and spread several pages across the desk. "Did you notice anything strange in our financial files this week?"

Nobody looked down. There were transaction summaries, accounting reports and records of several recent business dealings. Everything appeared orderly at first glance.

Nobody knew, however, that the real problem wasn’t inside these documents. Eclipse was moving quietly. Their plan was already seventy percent complete. Yet none of that had appeared in the bank records Nobody had access to.

He looked at Aiden. "Honestly?"

"Yeah."

"I didn’t find anything unusual."

Aiden frowned. "Nothing?"

"Nothing that looked suspicious from the bank’s side."

Nobody pulled one of the reports closer. "After Kuruda was arrested, everything seemed to settle down. The financial records became cleaner and there weren’t any obvious irregularities."

Aiden stared at the papers. "That’s what bothers me."

Nobody tilted his head. "Why?"

Aiden stood and walked toward the large window behind his desk.

The city stretched beneath them. Buildings filled the skyline, and thousands of people moved through the streets below, completely unaware of the tension building inside Nathan Industries.

"I’ve been looking through Eclipse’s proposal again."

"Still suspicious?"

"More than before."

Aiden turned around. "The first contract had clauses that didn’t make sense for us. Some of them seemed unnecessarily restrictive. Others gave Eclipse far more flexibility than they were offering us."

Nobody nodded slowly.

"And then the Chairman said it was just an old draft."

"Exactly."

Aiden walked back toward the desk. "At first, I thought maybe he genuinely made a mistake." He placed both hands on the desk. "But the more I think about it, the less believable it sounds."

Nobody looked at him carefully. "Did you find anything else?"

"No." Aiden shook his head. "That’s the problem. There’s nothing obvious." He gave a frustrated laugh. "It’s like they’re doing something, but every time I try to find evidence, there’s nothing there."

Nobody leaned against the edge of the desk. "Maybe they’re being careful."

Aiden looked at him. "That’s what I’m afraid of."

Nobody remained quiet for a moment. He knew the truth was much worse. Eclipse wasn’t simply negotiating. They were already manipulating Nathan Industries from the shadows.

But without evidence, there was nothing Nobody could safely tell Aiden. So he simply said, "Then don’t sign anything until you’re comfortable with it."

Aiden nodded. "I wasn’t planning to."

A faint smile appeared on Nobody’s face. "Good."

Aiden picked up another folder. "There’s something else."

"What?"

"Eclipse sent another proposal when they were caught with that sloppy first version.."

Nobody’s expression changed. "Another one?"

"Yeah."

Aiden opened the folder. "They’re calling it a revised agreement." He handed it over.

Nobody looked at the first page.

The document appeared professional. Every section was carefully formatted. The language was polite and corporate. Nothing immediately looked threatening. That was exactly what bothered him.

Aiden watched Nobody’s expression. "What do you think?"

Nobody slowly closed the folder. "I think you should have your legal team examine every line."

Aiden nodded. "Already doing that."

"Good."

Nobody pushed the folder back toward him. "Then don’t rush."

Aiden looked at him for a few seconds. "You really think something’s wrong?"

Nobody smiled slightly. "I think when a company changes its contract’s first version after getting caught with suspicious clauses, you shouldn’t assume the second version suddenly became trustworthy."

Aiden laughed quietly. "That’s probably the best argument I’ve heard all morning."

Nobody turned toward the door. "I’ll keep checking the financial side."

"Thanks."

Nobody paused. Then looked back. "Aiden."

"Yeah?"

"If you find anything strange, call me immediately."

Aiden’s expression became serious. "I will."

Nobody left the office. The moment the door closed behind him, his casual expression disappeared. He walked down the corridor while employees continued their morning routines around him.

The System appeared.

[Plot Analysis]

Eclipse Corporation:

Suspicious Activity Detected

Financial Evidence:

Insufficient

External Manipulation:

Possible

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Nobody stared at the notification. "Possible? I 100% know that higher being blocking your information collecting."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

[Confirmed external activity cannot currently be established through available financial records.]

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Nobody sighed. "So they’re hiding everything outside the banking system."

[Probability: High.]

Nobody continued toward the elevator. "Then I’ll keep watching."

The elevator doors opened.

Nobody stepped inside. As the doors closed, he looked at his reflection. "This contract thing is definitely going somewhere."

.......

Meanwhile...

Several kilometers away, the atmosphere inside Eclipse Corporation couldn’t have been more different.

The executive conference room was quiet.

Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooked the city, but the curtains had been partially drawn, leaving the room illuminated by soft artificial lighting.

A large screen displayed several graphs. Nathan Industries appeared across the top. Multiple indicators had fallen sharply. An Eclipse executive stood beside the screen. "Current progress has reached seventy percent."

A man sitting at the head of the table smiled. It was the Eclipse chairman. He leaned back in his chair and studied the numbers.

"Seventy percent." He repeated the figure slowly.

"Excellent."

The executive continued.

"Their financial flexibility has already been reduced. Several business partners have become uncertain, and some internal departments are experiencing pressure."

The chairman’s smile widened. "And they still haven’t discovered the source."

"No, sir."

The chairman chuckled. "Perfect." He stood and walked toward a cabinet positioned against the wall. The room was quiet except for the soft hum of the air-conditioning system.

Chairman opened the cabinet and removed an expensive bottle of wine. He placed it on the table. "How is the proposal proceeding?"

"The revised contract has been delivered."

"And Aiden?"

The executive hesitated. "He remains suspicious."

The chairman paused. Then laughed. "Aiden." He shook his head. "That man notices too much."

"Should we be concerned?"

Chairman opened the bottle. "No." He poured the wine into a glass. "Suspicion without evidence is meaningless."

The executive nodded.

Chairman lifted the glass. "Let him investigate." He took a sip. "Let him search every document." Another sip. "Let him ask every employee he wants." His smile became colder. "By the time he finds something, we’ll already be finished."

The executive looked at the screen.

"Sir, the remaining thirty percent..."

The chairman turned toward the displayed figures. "Will fall." His confidence was absolute. "Nathan Industries doesn’t realize how much ground they’ve already lost."

He walked toward the window.

Below, the city continued moving as usual. Cars traveled along the streets. People entered buildings. Businesses opened their doors. No one knew what was happening inside Eclipse.

Chairman looked at the skyline. "Everything is proceeding exactly as planned." He raised his wine glass. "Seventy percent complete." His smile widened. "Soon, Nathan Industries will have nothing left but desperation."

He turned back toward the room. "To our victory." The executive raised his own glass. "To Eclipse."

Their glasses touched.

Chairman took another drink.

Nobody hadn’t found it yet. Aiden hadn’t found it either. But somewhere beneath the layers of Eclipse’s carefully constructed operation...

The meeting inside Eclipse Corporation continued for several more minutes.

Chairman placed the wine glass on the table and looked over the latest reports. "Keep monitoring Nathan Industries," he said. "I don’t want anything unexpected."

The executive nodded. "Understood."

"And if Aiden starts digging too deeply?" Kuruda’s expression became colder. "Let him dig." He picked up the revised contract. "Every path we’ve left for them leads exactly where we want."

Meanwhile, far across the city, Nobody stepped out of Nathan Industries. The afternoon sunlight had begun to soften, casting long shadows across the pavement. He looked back at the towering building. "Something is definitely happening."

The System appeared.

[Suspicion Level Updated]

Eclipse Corporation:

High Risk

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Nobody stared at it for a moment. "Well..." He slipped his hands into his pockets. "I guess my boring office life didn’t last very long."

Then his phone vibrated.

Aiden had sent another message.

Aiden:

I found something. Come back when you can.

Nobody’s expression immediately changed. "...That was fast." He looked toward the road. "Looks like Aiden found some crack before Eclipse could cover it."

Nobody started walking.

Behind him, the glass windows of Nathan Industries reflected the afternoon sun. And somewhere inside that building,

Aiden was waiting with information that could finally lead to a clue to find something.
