One stood in his path. Nobody activated Zig Zag.
FLASH.
He appeared behind the man. Another blocked the corridor. Nobody ducked under the attack and continued forward.
A third tried to grab his shoulder. Nobody’s reflexes reacted. He turned and struck the man’s arm with the crowbar. The man released him.
Nobody kept moving. At the end of the corridor stood a large steel door. The target marker was directly behind it.
Nobody grabbed the handle. It was locked. He looked at it. "...Why do people keep locking doors?"
He raised one crowbar. The frost energy surrounding it intensified. Nobody struck the locking mechanism.
Clang!!
The metal froze instantly. He hit it again. The frozen section shattered. The door opened.
Inside, the room was almost empty.
A young boy sat in the corner. His hands were tied.
Nobody immediately crouched beside him. "Hey."
The boy looked up. His eyes were full of fear. "Are you..." He hesitated. "...the bunny?"
Nobody nodded. "Yeah."
The boy stared at him. "Are you going to save me?"
Nobody smiled. "That’s why I’m here."
He carefully freed the boy.
The System appeared.

They walked back through the warehouse. The defeated attackers were scattered across the floor. Nobody glanced at them.
The System updated again.

He led the boy outside. After contacting the authorities, Nobody waited until help arrived.
Then he looked toward the sky.
The city seemed peaceful from here. But the System map told a different story. Dozens of markers remained.

The boy nodded slowly.
Nobody raised one hand. "Stay safe."

Somewhere among all those buildings,a person was waiting for help.
Nobody clenched his fists. "Eleven kilometers." He stepped toward the edge. "Let’s make it less."
Blue energy began gathering around his body. Zig Zag Teleportation activated.

He vanished.
A rooftop appeared beneath him.

Another.
He reappeared on the side of a tall office building.
FLASH.
Then on top of a parking structure.
FLASH.
Then beside a narrow alley.
The city seemed to jump beneath his feet.
Nobody continued teleporting. He wasn’t simply moving from one place to another. He was cutting across the distance through carefully chosen points.
Each teleport carried him farther. Each landing lasted only long enough for him to orient himself. Finally, he appeared above the district indicated by the System.
Nobody looked around. "This place..."
The buildings were older. The streets were narrower. Most of the businesses had already closed for the night. A large railway line passed through the center of the district. Beyond it stood several abandoned warehouses.
Nobody looked at the System. "Which one?"
A marker appeared.

Nobody quietly crouched above them. He looked down. "...A bird?" He glanced toward the System.

"Dumbass!"
Nobody stood. Then jumped. He dropped directly toward the nearest attacker.
The man looked up just in time. Nobody landed in front of him. The man immediately swung. Nobody’s super reflexes reacted before the weapon could reach him. He shifted his body to the side. The strike passed beside him.
Nobody brought one frost crowbar upward and struck the man’s weapon. The force knocked it away. Before the man could recover, Nobody swept his leg beneath him.
The attacker hit the ground.
Nobody turned. Another man was already charging. He swung a metal pipe. Nobody crossed both crowbars. The pipe struck them with enough force to push him backward. His boots slid across the pavement.
Nobody looked at the man. "Okay." He adjusted his grip. "That one has some strength."
Three more attackers surrounded him.
Nobody smiled. "Much better."
They rushed together. The first attack came from the front. Nobody blocked it. The second came from the side. He ducked. The third tried to grab him from behind. His reflexes caught the movement. Nobody twisted away. Then activated Zig Zag Teleportation.
FLASH.
He vanished from the middle of the group. The attackers froze.
Nobody appeared behind them. He swung one crowbar into the back of the nearest man’s weapon, knocking it away. Then he spun and used the second crowbar to intercept another attack.
The metal weapons collided.
Nobody pushed forward. The attacker stumbled. Nobody stepped past him and struck his shoulder.
The man fell.

Nobody continued moving. He wasn’t trying to overpower everyone at once. He was separating them.
Every time two attackers came close,he used their positions against them. Every time someone tried attacking from his blind side,his enhanced reflexes reacted. And whenever the group became too large, Nobody simply disappeared.

He would reappear behind them. Then strike.

He appeared on the other side.
Then another attack. The enemies couldn’t establish a rhythm.
One man shouted. "Surround him!"
Nobody immediately disappeared.
The man looked around. "Where did he go?!"
Nobody appeared above him. "Here."
The man looked upward. Nobody dropped down. The man’s eyes widened. Nobody’s crowbar struck the weapon from his hand. He then grabbed the man’s jacket and used his momentum to throw him aside.

The enemies hesitated.

The man charged. Nobody waited. The attack came toward his chest. His reflexes reacted. He shifted sideways. The man’s fist passed him.
Nobody struck his ribs with the crowbar. The man stumbled. Another attacker came immediately.
Nobody blocked. The impact pushed him backward. He planted one foot against the ground. Then pushed forward. The attacker lost his balance. Nobody struck his shoulder. The man fell.
Another tried to attack from the left. Nobody turned. Their weapons collided. The attacker tried pressing harder.
Nobody smiled. "You’re stronger than the others."
The man grinned. "Finally, you noticed."
Nobody nodded. "Yeah."
Nobody suddenly released the pressure. The attacker stumbled forward. Nobody stepped aside. The man fell directly into two of his companions. All three collapsed together.
Nobody stared. "...That worked better than expected."
The System appeared.

One man refused to answer.
Nobody looked at him. "Wrong answer."
The man immediately pointed toward the building. "Inside!"
Nobody looked toward the entrance. "Thank you, now sleep." He knocked the man down, smashing him with his crowbar. He activated Zig Zag Teleportation.
