The door to Professor Rose’s office clicked shut behind Lynx and it felt like the sound sealed the entire room inside with them. He didn’t look back at it. The room was a mess and so was she.

He stood in the hallway for a moment with his back to the door and took his time adjusting his jacket.

A slow, satisfied smirk pulled at his mouth because he could still feel her on him.

Even after everything, even after she had completely unraveled in his arms and begged with her body instead of words, Rose had still tried to pull her shield back up.

When they were finally done, she had pushed away from him with flushed cheeks and messy hair and breathing that wouldn’t steady.

Her hands were trembling when she reached for her dress on the floor.

"Lynx, this..." Her voice had that same little quiver in it. The one that always came out when her professor status tried to remind her who she was supposed to be. "You need to leave before someone sees you here. Or notice you’ve been in here for too long."

It was cute.

He didn’t answer her with words. He moved instead. In one step he closed the distance and had her cornered against the desk again, one hand on her waist and the other tilting her chin up.

When his lips hit hers, she gasped. That last bit of weak logic she was clinging to dissolved into a soft groan.

A few more deep, languid kisses. His hands trailing over her waist, slow and deliberate, reminding her exactly who she belonged to now.

And she crumbled. Completely. She leaned into him and sighed into his mouth like she had forgotten how to fight.

The battle was over. Professor status be damned. She now fully belonged to him.

He had left her there on the desk, utterly spent and staring at the ceiling, looking like a queen who had just been conquered and didn’t regret a second of it.

But as he walked down the stone hallway and the cool afternoon air hit his skin, reality came rushing back in.

He pulled out his phone and felt a faint twinge of guilt. He had completely lost track of time.

It’s been Hours. He had been pounding his hot professor for hours and he had completely forgotten about his other girls.

Lira. Ava. Eira. Emily. Kira.

They must be wondering if a monster had eaten him. They’d texted earlier and now he was finally heading to the cafeteria to meet them.

His hands went into his pockets as he walked and his mind drifted.

He remembered the notification he had mostly ignored earlier. There was a dedicated group chat for all Year 2 students. He had entered the group chat once out of curiosity and never typed a single word.

It was easier to just watch.

Most of the time they were talking about him anyway.

A few guys had challenged him to fights. Their texts were all desperate posturing and fake confidence.

One guy, a complete stranger, had even claimed that Lynx "took his girlfriend." Lynx didn’t even know the girl. Didn’t know the guy.

He sighed and shook his head. The guys were just jealous or blind. They could clearly see he was stronger.

His Primordial Vision showed him everyone’s underwhelming stats the moment he looked at them through their pictures or videos. Why they thought challenging him to a fight was a good idea when they knew what he’s capable of, he couldn’t fathom.

He hadn’t answered, of course. Why waste the energy?

Sometimes he laughed at their chats. The drama. The desperation. The sheer ignorance.

But one thing was absolutely for sure.

All the girls in that chat were smoking hot... no. All the girls in this Academy were damn beautiful.

There was no exaggeration in that.

Sure, some were more beautiful than others, but every single one of them was damn beautiful and hot.

It was a strange, undeniable truth about this world. Aetherion.

Blessed and Normal Beings could never be the same, and Lynx realized that fully now.

Blessed were more beautiful. Hotter.

He often thought that if a Blessed woman from this world were transported to Earth, no single woman on that planet would hold a candle near her. They were just that good.

He wondered why sometimes.

Was it the world itself?

Maybe it was the pervasive mana that infused the very air, affecting human biology over generations.

Blessed individuals seemed perfectly designed. Their beauty looked like a product of divine intervention because that’s exactly what it was.

They were truly Blessed by the Gods.

Even the normal humans here were smoking hot, far exceeding Earth’s average or Earth’s finest.

That was just how Aetherion was, and he was going to use it to his advantage. Fully.

Blessed people were different beyond just looks.

Their skin had that faint, unmistakable glow. It wasn’t dramatic like a lantern. It was subtle. A soft luminosity that differentiated them from normal humans the moment you saw them.

And all Blessed here in Aether Empire truly had that golden sigil on their forehead. The mark of Goddess Shiva.

All of them... Well, except Rose.

And him.

Lynx lifted a hand and brushed his hair back, touching the spot on his forehead where his own mark was hidden.

He was different. That was for sure.

He wasn’t Blessed by Goddess Shiva... Nah.

He was Blessed by the Absolute God. The supreme being who had reached the absolute peak of all gods.

His heterochromatic eyes weren’t just for show or adding to his charm. Blue and silver eyes with Primordial Vision. They could dissect reality. See stats. See truths that other people missed.

His silver mark on his forehead was proof that he was fundamental. Something separate from the system of Blessed and Mortals.

And then there was Rose.

He still hadn’t gotten a full answer about her. She also lacked the golden sigil. Her forehead bore a red mark instead.

It was intriguing. It made her stand out even among the divine beauties of the Blessed.

She was a puzzle he hadn’t solved yet... and he would definitely unravel her for sure.

How did she have that red mark? What did it mean? She doesn’t have a system or woke up from the dead of course, and she was born and raised in Aether Empire.

He had to find out more about her later. She was too powerful and too interesting to leave as a mystery, besides she was his woman now.

His steps echoed in the hallway as his thoughts turned inward to the constant companion in his mind.

The System.

After the Absolute God had almost perished destroying other gods and the celestial heavens, he hadn’t vanished instantly. In his last fading moments he created something.

He willed his strength into it. His eons of memories. His unfathomable powers. Everything about him.

He made a System and set it loose across the multiverse to search for a compatible soul.

For years. For eons.

Until it found Lynx.

His soul was compatible. A perfect vessel for the god’s legacy. The System merged with him and changed him.

He was the chosen one. He was the next Absolute God of Aetherion... of the damn Universe.

His destiny was clear now. He would conquer this world. He would gather points by sleeping with women and killing beasts... okay sleeping with women.

He would use those points to spin the APS wheel and acquire more primordial blessings, pushing his stats beyond mortal and Blessed caps.

But first he would help this academy win the Blessed Tournament and assert his dominance. Then He would become king of this academy.

Then the king of the entire Aether Empire. He would fuck more women and claim their blessings as his own.

He would leave the empire and go to the dreaded United Continent.

He would also conquer that place... and he would conquer all of Aetherion. Make his name known and feared across all continents. Across Aetherion.

He would ascend and become a god himself.

And he would face the primordial gods and conquer them too.

He would be absolute.

There would be no one above him.

The sheer scale of it rushed through him and he grinned. A wide, splitting grin full of ambition and raw confidence. The idea of it exhilarated him.

Then he heard it.

The System’s cocky, familiar voice in his head.

[Lynx. You just realized your damn purpose in this world. Good. Fuck more women. Become a god in This empire, then Aetherion. Rule the damn world. Become Absolute.]

Lynx smiled, hands still in his pockets as he walked closer to the cafeteria entrance.

"Yeah... but can I become a god here?" he thought. "I thought gods were primordial entities."

The System laughed. It was loud and boisterous, and now that he noticed it, the voice had gotten louder in his head.

More present. More assertive. Like an arrogant, strong being who was getting impatient with his ignorance.

[Yes. You can become a god. You just have to make people here believe you are a god.]

Lynx mentally raised an eyebrow. "How will I do that? Perform a few miracles? Defeat someone powerful?" It seems too simple.

[That you’ll do by yourself. I’ll be here to guide and assist in any way you need, but the belief must be genuine. Faith is a power of its own.]

"Oh come on. What the hell man," Lynx thought, slightly annoyed. "You give me power ups and stats but you can’t automate godhood?"

The System chuckled again, voice filled with old, knowing arrogance.

[Okay. I’ll tell you this. All gods are real. Different gods exist up there for the different races. Each race in this world prays to one god, the god who watches over their home or their specific lineage. Goddess Shiva, for example, is real.

And the more prayers she receives from her people of Aether Empire, the more she grows stronger. They are already inherently strong. The prayers and beliefs just add to their strength, like mana focusing energy.]

"What about the Absolute God?" Lynx asked, curious about his benefactor.

[He doesn’t need prayers or anything. The gods don’t need them too. They are self sufficient entities. It just adds to their raw power and allows them to manifest more easily in the lower realms. With or without prayers, they will be strong. But to fight a god, to truly challenge them, you have to become more than or as strong as them... But you don’t have to worry about that yet. Focus on this world. These women. This academy.]

Lynx mentally nodded, absorbing the new perspective. The information reframed his entire view of the world.

He remembered the rankings the System had laid out for him before. The hierarchy of power in the universe.

Mortal

Blessed

Transcendent Blessed

Eternal Blessed

Divine Blessed

Primordial Blessed

Absolute Blessed

The gods were Primordial. Goddess Shiva was a Primordial Blessed entity.

And I... he realized... I am still just a normal Blessed. Just one with stronger blessings and higher stats than these weaklings. Okay with some primordial stuff and transcendental charm... but still a normal blessed nonetheless.

The System had made the gaps perfectly clear.

A Blessed’s peak stat, for those strong enough

to reach it, was around 5,000,000 total max. And even then, many people, even SSS-Rank Affinity Blessed users, didn’t reach the full potential of Blessed stats. It was a pity.

It’s not their fault though. To grow strong, you ventured deep into the forests... not near the forbidden zone but they’re tons of beast deadly forests in this empire, kill beasts strong enough to kill you.

Or they absorb mana and use it to strengthen their body, understand how your affinity works, comprehend it. It’s hard. Most people are stuck when their affinity reach SS Rank.

If your Affinity is SSS ranked, you are a SSS Ranked blessed. Your affinity grows with your stats, with you.

A peak blessed 5 main stats are 1,000,000 each. Total strength of 5,000,000.

And a Transcendent Blessed was way stronger than a normal Blessed. Way, way more stronger.

The gap between each ranking was exponential.

Lynx needed to get stronger.

He knew he couldn’t even fight his own demon Nyx, if she were at full strength. The System had explained exactly how strong each rank was, and it was humbling. He was powerful here, yes, but on the true scale, he was barely a blip.

Most normal humans don’t know about any of these. They thought being just a Blessed were the peak. Celebrities and rulers.

Many Blessed were ignorant too. They just wanted to use their status for fame and money. Useless stuff in the grand scheme.

They were content being big fish in a small pond.

Well he wouldn’t know too if not for his system. It’s not their fault for not know these stuff.

That was why he couldn’t wait to leave this academy. Leave this empire. Go to the United Continent.

Meet stronger people. Meet those who knew the truth and who are... A peak SSS Rank Blessed. Transcendental Blessed. Maybe even an Eternal Blessed.

He couldn’t wait to test himself.

Power and rankings and celestial heavens were all real, but they were distant realities.

He reached the door of the cafeteria and stopped. He checked his reflection in the glass. His heterochromatic eyes stared back at him.

Power could wait.

Conquest could wait.

Right now he was starving. He’d worked up an appetite.

He pushed the heavy doors open and entered the noisy, bustling cafeteria. He left the thoughts of gods and empires behind him.

Now he was going to chill, and he was going to enjoy himself with his girls.

Power and ranking stuff could wait for later.
