My All Powerful System

Chapter 43: Five Affinities

Lynx walked through the academy grounds with his phone in hand, scrolling lazily.

Notifications kept popping up one after another.

’Kira Lewis Added You Back’

’Daniel Augsburg Followed You’

’200+ new followers.’

Most of them were girls. Academy girls, and even normal girls from outside. His heterochromatic eyes and that face were doing damage online.

Kira had followed him back, and he’d followed Daniel. The rest? He ignored them for now.

He’d already been added to the Year 2 main group chat too. He didn’t even know how.

"Maybe as I opened an account and filled in my details they added me, or Daniel and Kira gave my account to the admin," he guessed with a shrug, pocketing his phone.

Junior students along the path stared at him like always. Whispers followed him.

"That’s him... the 4 affinity freak."

"He’s so tall..."

Lynx didn’t spare them a glance. He walked straight to the Fire Affinity classroom and pushed the door open.

The entire class froze.

Thirty pairs of eyes turned to him.

"Good day, Teacher Rose," Lynx bowed slightly, his voice calm.

Rose didn’t even look up at first. Her stern face finally lifted.

"You’re very late. We’re almost done with today’s class." Her tone was sharp, but her hand gripping the chalk trembled just a little.

Lynx smiled, completely unbothered. "I was really busy. I’m preparing for the tournament too. I’m sorry for being late."

Rose opened her mouth to scold him further. But then her eyes met his.

Heterochromatic. One Blue, One Silver. Deep and Hypnotizing.

Her breath caught. Memories she shouldn’t have flashed through her mind. His lips on hers. His hands on her waist. The warmth she felt. She felt her cheeks burn and her legs go weak.

She quickly looked away and nodded. "...Just sit down."

Lynx walked straight to where Kira was sitting, in the second row. She was so focused on the lecture she didn’t notice him until he leaned down.

"Hey," he whispered, his warm breath brushing her ear.

Kira jumped. "Hey! Where were you?" she whispered back, frowning.

"I just came back from visiting Aunt Isabel," he said casually.

Kira’s eyes widened. "You left the academy? Again? How come the securities didn’t stop you?"

"Well, I have a few tricks up my sleeve," Lynx grinned. "By the way, why is there still a lecture going on? It’s almost evening."

Kira sighed heavily and rubbed her temples. "With the biggest tournament of the year coming up, do you think they’re going to let us be lazy and rest? Especially since for the past ten years VOID Blessed Academy has been at the number one spot. We’re aiming to take it this year."

She paused, glancing at Rose.

"Besides... Teacher Rose had a change of mind. She wants to supervise us personally, and choose this class Fire Affinity students that will join the main 50."

Lynx listened attentively, his expression unreadable. So Rose changed her mind. Interesting. But it didn’t matter to him. He’d join regardless.

"Now we are done!" Rose’s voice cut through the room. "All of you, meet me at the Year 2 Fire Affinity Training Arena!"

With a wave of her hand, she activated an artifact. A blue portal swirled open behind her and she stepped through without another word.

BAM!

A small fist hit Lynx’s arm.

"Hey, What was that for?" he asked with a chuckle.

"That’s for making me miss what she said before she left!" Kira hissed, her face red.

"Okay, sorry," Lynx said, leaning closer. "How about I kiss you and you forgive me?"

Kira’s eyes shot around the room to make sure no one heard. Her cheeks went crimson. "Shut up!" She smacked him again and stood up quickly.

Lynx chuckled and followed her out.

"You know," Lynx said as they walked, "I’m moving out of my old room. I’m moving into a new one. Where the seniors stay. No roommate. Just me and my real privacy."

"That’s nice," Kira replied. "I have a roommate too. But it’s just one. And we don’t really get along. More like... I don’t talk to her."

Lynx laughed. "You really have to start making friends, Kira."

"You don’t have any friends," she shot back immediately.

"Well, I haven’t spent much time in this academy since I arrived," he said, hands in his pockets. "And I don’t need friends... But if I move in, you should come visit me at my room."

"Shut up!" She hit him again, but this time she was smiling.

As they approached the training arena, two girls stepped in front of them, blocking the path.

"Lynx?" one of them asked, though it was clear she already knew who he was.

Lynx stopped and observed them.

The first girl had dark, wavy hair that fell past her shoulders. A golden Blessed sigil glowed faintly on her forehead. Her uniform shirt struggled to contain her chest, big, soft, and exactly the kind he liked. Her curves were pronounced, her waist slim, and her ass round and firm under the skirt.

"Shit, she’s hot as fuck," he thought, but kept his face neutral.

The other girl was petite, with short brown hair and sharp eyes. Cute, but not his type.

He focused and checked their stats.

"Since we’re all heading to the same place, we decided to say hi," Emily said, flipping her hair with a confident smile.

"Oh. It’s okay," Lynx replied. "I’m Lynx. And this is Kira."

"Nice to meet you Lynx," Emily said, then turned to Kira. "And Kira."

She turned back to Lynx, eyes sparkling. "I’m Emily. And this is Lira."

After the introductions, all four of them walked toward the arena together. Talking about a few topics. Mostly Emily talking to Lynx.

As they entered the massive hall, Emily suddenly turned. "Are you on Instalite?"

"Yeah. Just opened an account... why?" Lynx asked.

"I’ll add you," she winked, her lips curling. "See you." She and Lira walked off, leaving behind the faint scent of perfume.

Kira crossed her arms the moment they were gone. "She has no shame. Flirting with you like that right in front of me."

Lynx laughed. "Are you jealous?"

"Shut up," Kira hit him, but her ears were red.

"ATTENTION, EVERYONE HERE!"

Teacher Rose’s booming voice echoed through the arena. All chatter died instantly. Thirty Year 2 Fire Affinity students stood at attention.

"As you know," Rose began, pacing in front of them. "Out of the 30 students here, only 2 will be among the main 50. The strongest Ten Students here will fight against Year 1 and 3.

We are choosing the overall 10 strongest students from the Fire Affinity class. Seniors and Juniors combined."

She looked around, her gaze sharp.

"I know what you’re thinking. ’How can we fight against seniors?’ ’Why choose from junior classes?’"

Some students nodded nervously.

"The answer is simple. No. We changed the rules this year."

A murmur went through the crowd.

"We are not only using Year 3 and 4 students this year. We are also picking from Year 1 and 2. At least one and two student from each."

Rose raised her fingers.

"The 10 strongest Fire Affinity students from Year 1 will fight the 10 strongest from Year 2.

The single strongest Year 1 will be chosen.

Then it repeats. Ten from Year 2 vs Ten from Year 3. Two of the Ten from Year 2 will be chosen."

She clenched her fist.

"Year 3 and 4 Students already knows their strongests Fire affinity students. But they will still fight. Three students from Year 3 will be chosen and the top 4 students from Year 4.

A total of 10 Fire Affinity Students

That’s how it is this year.

You have to give it your all. Participating in the main tournament comes with immense benefits, glory, and fame. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!"

"YESSSS!" the students roared, fists in the air.

Lynx turned to Kira. "The rules are pretty interesting, don’t you think?"

"Yeah," Kira said, determination burning in her eyes. "I’m aiming to be among the chosen 2 students from our class."

Lynx shrugged, hands in his pockets. "Oh, I’m not bothered. I’ll definitely be chosen."

He raised his hand.

Rose spotted him immediately. "What?"

"Can I also join the other Year 2 affinity classes?" Lynx asked casually. "As you know, I have different affinities."

Rose frowned. "You haven’t attended a single class since you started this academy. How will you convince them you can use your other affinities well?"

"Don’t worry about that," Lynx smiled. "Just help me. Put me in Ice, Wind, Lightning, and Earth affinity classes too."

Silence.

The entire arena went dead quiet.

Even the sound of breathing stopped.

Teacher Rose’s eyes widened. "...You can use five affinities?"

"Yes," Lynx said simply. "And not to brag, but I don’t think anyone here or there will defeat me."

Rose stared at him for a long second, then burst out laughing. The other students weren’t laughing. The boys were glaring. Jealousy and disbelief painted their faces. The girls admiring him more.

"I’ll help you," Rose said finally. "But if you’re not among the students chosen in at least one from those classes... consider yourself gone from the tournament... and you know you won’t be able to rest properly"

"Don’t worry," Lynx grinned. "I won’t fail."

Teacher Rose snapped her fingers. A hologram appeared in the air, the names of all 30 students in the class.

She swiped her hand. Names shuffled. 15 on the right side... 15 on the left side.

Then it stopped.

FIRST MATCH: LYNX AZARION VS KAEL DRAYTON

The rest of the students rushed to the seats, phones already out to record.

Kael’s friends were hyping him up.

"Beat him, Kael!"

"Show the class this Lynx guy is overrated!"

Kira just looked at Lynx and gave a small nod. "You got this."

Lynx walked to the stage, rolling his shoulders. He didn’t even need to check Kael’s stats. He already knew.

"I’ll end this in one blow,"he thought.

Both of them climbed onto the raised platform. The barrier around the arena hummed to life.

Rose stood between them. "The first person to fall outside the arena fails. No killing. No crippling. Understood?"

Both nodded.

Rose stepped back. Her voice was cold.

"Begin."

........

A/N: Ice Affinity: one student from year 1... two from year 2... three from year 3, four from year 4.

That Is 10 From Ice Affinity.

That’s how the rest is. All together it’s 5 Year One... 10 Year 2... 15 Year 3... 20 Year 4.

That’s 50 Students from AETHER Academy. So you can see how insane Lynx plan is.

50 From Each Blessed Academy. 200 Main Participant’s.

And note, during the main tournament, the fighting partner is picked randomly. A year one Fire affinity student from AETHER academy could fight a year 3 ice affinity student from another academy.
