Rakshasa did not need to ask what was happening.

Her eyes slowly moved down Victor’s body, passed over Lyssa and Elara’s flushed expressions, and stopped exactly where his hands disappeared beneath the two maids’ skirts.

For several seconds, no one moved.

Then a smile appeared on Rakshasa’s face, so calm and yet so demonic that both subordinates went rigid at once.

"Victor," she said softly. "Take your hands out of my maids’ panties."

Her voice did not rise by even a single tone, but Victor understood perfectly well that this was an order he probably should not turn into a provocation.

He slowly withdrew his hands, revealing fingers still wet, while Lyssa and Elara looked as though they were trying to figure out the best escape route in case Rakshasa decided to kill them.

Victor looked at the two.

"Since you started the problem, clean them."

Lyssa widened her eyes, but understood before Elara did.

She took his hand, brought two fingers to her mouth, and quickly cleaned them, still glancing sideways at Rakshasa.

Elara did the same with his other hand, clearly torn between embarrassment and fear, and released Victor’s fingers as soon as she finished.

Rakshasa was still smiling.

That was the worst part.

Victor gave each of them a quick slap on the ass.

"Now you can run."

They did not need to be told twice.

Lyssa and Elara went through the door almost together and disappeared down the corridor, leaving only the hurried sound of their footsteps behind.

Rakshasa followed their escape until she could no longer hear them.

Then she looked back at Victor.

"I am literally right here."

"I noticed."

"Then why were you touching the maids?"

Victor shrugged with a calmness that did not help at all.

"They were restless, thinking too much nonsense and talking about perverted things. I wanted to help."

Rakshasa stared at him.

"What a helpful man."

"I do my best."

"And I imagine you intend to continue providing this kind of assistance to any woman in need."

Victor smiled.

"That sounds like a trap."

"Because it is."

He approached and wrapped one arm around her waist.

"Then I’ll avoid answering."

Rakshasa placed both hands on his chest and narrowed her eyes, but the irritation did not last long.

She knew Lyssa and Elara, knew exactly what had happened between the two of them and Victor in the past, and despite being jealous, she did not seem truly interested in turning it into an argument at that moment.

Her more important problem was still scattered across the entire room.

She pointed at the piles of dresses.

"Since you showed up, help me. I can’t decide what to wear."

Victor looked around.

"You actually tried all of this?"

"Almost."

"And none of them fit?"

"They all fit. That isn’t the problem."

"Then what is?"

"I need to look perfect."

Victor gave a small laugh.

Rakshasa placed both hands on her hips.

"Don’t laugh. You invited me to that gala. I’m going to walk in beside you in front of practically all of vampire high society. I’m not showing up in just anything."

"I already found what you need."

Rakshasa raised an eyebrow.

Victor released her waist and pulled a small dark box from inside his coat.

She looked at the object.

"Where did that come from?"

"Doesn’t matter."

"You arrived here hiding your presence, your scent, and a box?"

"I planned the visit."

He placed the box in her hands.

"My little gift."

Rakshasa’s expression changed immediately.

She looked at Victor, then at the box, and opened the lid with far more care than she usually showed any object.

Inside was a piece of jewelry made from crystallized blood.

The central gem had a deep wine-red color, almost black around the edges, but inside it seemed to contain small red currents that moved slowly.

A thin dark frame surrounded the gemstone, forming an elegant pattern reminiscent of petals or small wings.

Rakshasa remained silent for several seconds.

"This is beautiful."

Victor smiled.

She removed the jewelry and held it up to the light.

"Where did you buy it?"

"I didn’t."

Rakshasa looked at him.

"I made it."

This time, she genuinely lost her teasing expression for a few moments.

"You made this?"

"I used refined blood, some of the crystallization technique I learned over the past few months, and part of my own essence to keep the color stable."

Rakshasa looked back at the jewel.

"Your blood is in here?"

"A small amount."

A huge smile appeared on her face.

"Put it on."

"Now?"

"Now."

She immediately turned around, moved her hair aside, and left her neck exposed.

Victor took the jewelry, stepped closer, and fastened the necklace around her.

The wine-colored gemstone rested exactly below her throat, standing out against her pale skin.

Rakshasa went straight to the mirror.

Her expression became even more satisfied.

"It’s perfect."

Victor approached from behind and looked at their reflection.

"That’s why I made it that color."

Rakshasa touched the gem with her fingertips.

"I really like it."

"Then wear it to the gala."

She turned her face and gave him a quick kiss.

"You didn’t even need to ask."

Victor then shifted his attention toward one of the piles near the bed.

He started searching through the clothes until he found exactly the dress that had caught his attention when he entered the room.

It was black, long, and extremely fitted, with a side slit that revealed one leg almost completely.

The upper part had very little fabric over the shoulders and a deep neckline that descended through the center of the chest, almost reaching the abdomen.

Despite that, the cut remained elegant, supported by subtle wine-colored details that would match the jewelry perfectly.

Victor lifted the dress.

"This one."

Rakshasa looked.

Then looked again.

"That one is really slutty."

"Yes."

"I’m practically going to walk in with half my tits showing."

"Not half."

Rakshasa narrowed her eyes.

Victor corrected himself with a smile:

"Maybe a little less."

She took the dress and held it against her body in front of the mirror.

"Everyone is going to stare."

Victor approached from behind and placed both hands on her waist.

"Are you going to leave me because some man looked at you?"

Rakshasa turned her face as though he had asked something absurd.

"Of course not."

"Then fuck whoever looks."

She blinked.

Victor rested his chin on her shoulder.

"They can stare as much as they want. At the end of the night, you’re leaving with me."

Rakshasa smiled at the reflection.

"Possessive."

"Realistic."

"And if someone tries something?"

"You’ll probably kill them before I even notice."

"Probably."

Victor indicated the dress.

"Then wear this one."

Rakshasa looked back at her reflection, imagining the dress together with the jewelry he had made.

Little by little, the doubt that had made her try dozens of options disappeared.

"You really want me to go like this?"

"I want my woman to be the most beautiful one in that hall."

She turned around inside his arms.

"Oh, so now I’m ’your woman’?"

Victor tightened his grip around her waist slightly.

"You were complaining that I took too long to admit it."

"You did."

Rakshasa let the dress fall onto the armchair and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"But I liked hearing it."

Victor moved his face closer.

"So it’s decided?"

"Black dress, your jewelry, and you beside me."

"Perfect."

Rakshasa smiled.

"There’s just one thing."

"What?"

"When we get to the gala, don’t go squeezing the maids’ asses."

Victor thought for a moment.

"I make no promises."

Rakshasa kept smiling.

The pressure in the room increased.

Victor corrected himself immediately:

"Fine. I’ll behave at the gala."

"Good boy."
