My Co-renting Lady Boss

Chapter 2120 - 2116: Sovereign Power?

Chapter 2120: Chapter 2116: Sovereign Power?

"Is this...could it be that the portal to the Taoyuan World hasn’t closed yet?"

Tang Ming’s expression changed slightly, and he immediately pushed his speed to the limit, racing toward the array plate below.

"Damn it, how far is this place!"

A few minutes later, Tang Ming couldn’t help but curse. Although the array plate in the sky seemed close, the actual distance was quite far.

Even though he realized the incident location was far from him, Tang Ming still didn’t give up. For the sake of rescuing Wei’er, he activated the Orochi Technique while moving toward the array plate.

Soon, the array plate officially formed, and beams of Liu Guang fell from it, shooting in all directions like a meteor shower.

"Could it be that the sky is really about to collapse?"

Though Tang Ming’s speed didn’t slacken, his expression was extremely grave; ever since he opened the Gate of Apocalypse himself, nothing that happened was normal.

"Roar! Roar! Roar!"

As Tang Ming was sprinting rapidly, he suddenly heard a series of fierce roars from the front.

"Hmm?"

Tang Ming furrowed his brows. Looking closely, he saw a tiger with flames burning on its body rushing toward him at a speed not any slower than his own.

"What the hell is this? Such powerful aura, could this be a monster from the black hole landing here?"

Narrowing his eyes, Tang Ming swung his right hand, summoning an Energy Light Saber, and fearlessly charged at the fiery tiger.

As the distance to the fiery tiger became shorter, Tang Ming suddenly stopped, then turned pale and fled in the opposite direction.

He saw a group of monsters he didn’t recognize following behind the fiery tiger, each with a presence even stronger than a Martial General’s peak. If a fight were to break out, Tang Ming felt a hundred lives wouldn’t be enough.

"What’s going on? If it weren’t for activating Orochi Technique and enhancing my cultivation by hundreds of times, I wouldn’t be able to move at all under the pressure of these monsters."

As Tang Ming ran, he lamented tragically. Even so, several monsters that were faster than him were closing in.

From an aerial view, one would see Tang Ming running in the forefront, followed by countless monsters, kicking up clouds of dust—that scene...

"Damn it!"

As he sensed the monsters closing in from behind, Tang Ming cursed through gritted teeth and swung a sword fiercely at a winged silver giant wolf closest to him. His invincible sword qi, however, failed to inflict any damage on the flying wolf.

"Roar!"

The flying wolf, with blood-red eyes, let out a roar at Tang Ming, then directly leapt over his body, flying off into the distance.

"What’s going on? They’re not coming for me?"

A bit bewildered, Tang Ming then saw several extremely fast monsters leaping over him and fleeing into the distance.

"So they really aren’t coming after me!"

Tang Ming finally realized, but he dared not slow down, since there were just too many monsters behind him, flying in the sky and running on the ground, numbering in the thousands, all with strong abilities.

If caught by the beast horde, with the monsters’ strength and size, they could trample him into pulp.

If really devoured by one of those monsters, being turned into feces would make rebirth impossible, just the thought made him feel sick.

Tang Ming judged correctly; these monsters weren’t targeting him but were fleeing in panic due to the celestial anomaly and roaring thunder. Otherwise, attacking Tang Ming would have resulted in his death countless times given his current strength.

Although unaware of what happened, seeing so many powerful monsters running for their lives, Tang Ming didn’t dare take it lightly. Not caring about direction, he madly sprinted without stopping, until he was engulfed by the beast horde.

"Puff! Puff! Puff!"

In the tide of beasts, Tang Ming’s body was repeatedly hit by the many monsters, causing him to vomit blood continually. Even such simple collisions, he couldn’t withstand, showing how powerful these monsters were.

Tang Ming was forcefully carried along with the beast horde, ultimately growing dizzy, unable even to commit suicide to reset his state, just like someone preparing to get off a subway being forcibly pushed back in by the crowd, full of frustration and helplessness.

Some time passed, unconsciousness overtook him, while the alien noises in the sky continued, endlessly.

In Taoyuan World, in the Desolate Forest at the northernmost part of the Wilderness.

By now, late at night, desert beasts prowled the woods, hidden and hungry, searching for food.

The sky churned with dark clouds, reckless winds sweeping across the ground.

The thick clouds grew lower, lightning flashed, and thunder roared.

"This is a celestial anomaly, likely someone has used a forbidden technique in the Wilderness."

On Immortal Mountain, light swirled. At the peak of the mountain, an elder with disheveled hair clad in a robe looked up at the sky, eyes filled with dread.

Standing behind the elder were two men and two women. A maiden in a pale yellow long robe stepped forward: "Who dares to use forbidden techniques, unafraid of the sovereign power’s punishment?"

"Sovereign power is but a form of power; those capable of wielding it naturally fear no punishment from it. Just like when that individual came to Taoyuan World, our human clan is going to descend into chaos again."

With a long sigh, the elder slowly closed his eyes. The two men and two women behind him exchanged glances, a trace of trepidation visible in their eyes.

Boom.

The sound of thunder rang out. Tang Ming abruptly sat up.

All he saw was broken wooden furniture and a drafty stone house.

The wooden door creaked open, and a woman in a beast-skin robe with a haggard face walked in.

The woman was quite beautiful, just untended; she seemed to have lived a difficult life, hence her weary appearance.

"You’re awake."

Hu Mei’er, her long hair partly covering her face, with a single glance of her exposed right side, looked like a bright-eyed maiden.

She picked up a bowl of porridge from the wooden table beside her and handed it to Tang Ming.

The food Hu Mei’er received in the tribe was already scarce; she had saved up for three meals to accumulate just this little bit of thin porridge.

"Thank you. Tastes good, did you make it?"

Feeling his stomach empty, Tang Ming tilted back his head, finishing the bowl in one gulp.

"Make it? I’m not a cook. How could I touch food? I saved this for you. Since you’ve recovered, come with me to meet the Elder."

Hu Mei’er’s voice turned cold. The intense gaze Tang Ming previously laid on her face made her feel very uncomfortable.

"Tribe, Elder? Where is this place, what’s the name of your tribe? Does your tribe have a woman named Xia Wei’er?"

Standing up, Tang Ming followed Hu Mei’er out while questioning her about the tribe.

Hu Mei’er slowly turned around, her gaze growing colder: "Not being part of our tribe yet, inquiring about us makes you our tribe’s enemy."
