The teaser dropped at exactly six in the evening. And the internet immediately lost its mind.
Pulse’s official accounts uploaded a thirty-second preview of their upcoming album.
The teaser included brief clips from every song.
New choreography. New outfits. New concepts.
Fans were already excited.
Then the carrier single appeared.
Forever Since We Were Young.
The music slowed. The screen darkened. Rain fell.
A glimpse of River and Nicole laughing beneath a tree appeared. Then another scene. The two were sitting together beside a river. Smiling, dreaming.
The teaser shifted again.
Chris stood alone on a train platform while Liliana stared back at him with tears in her eyes. The train doors slowly closed.
Then the teaser ended.
The internet exploded completely. Social media crashed under the flood of comments.
THE CHEMISTRY?!
WHY AM I CRYING OVER THIRTY SECONDS?!
RIVER AND NICOLE ARE ILLEGAL.
CHRIS AND LILIANA LOOK LIKE THEY’VE BEEN IN LOVE FOR YEARS.
SOMEONE RELEASE THE FULL MUSIC VIDEO RIGHT NOW.
The reactions continued throughout the night. News articles, reaction videos and fan theories appeared. The teaser became the most discussed entertainment topic of the week.
And for a few hours, everything seemed perfect. Until another envelope arrived.
The receptionist who received it immediately called security.
Nobody touched it. Nobody opened it.
Within minutes, the envelope sat inside Matthew St. Claire’s office.
Chris arrived first with Robin. Followed by Sarah Clifford and Victor Reyes
There was a complete silence for a moment because they recognized it as soon as they saw the envelope.
The same envelope from the concert and the one handed to Liliana.
The same handwriting. The same nightmare.
Sarah carefully opened it.
A photograph slid onto the table.
There was absolute silence.
Chris felt his stomach drop. Because he immediately recognized the building.
The penthouse. Their penthouse.
The photograph wasn’t taken from a distance. It was taken nearby. Very nearby.
It was close enough to identify entrances, security routes even the residents.
The room became colder. Then another photograph appeared.
A company vehicle. One of St. Claire Entertainment’s vans. And the vehicle Liliana regularly used.
Chris immediately stood shocked. His chair nearly fell.
"He followed her."
Nobody disagreed. Because it was too obvious. The stalker had found the penthouse and knew the vehicles, their movements.
And realization striked, the stalker was closer than they ever imagined. As if he was one of their staff.
Another emergency meeting was called.
The conference room filled quickly. Everyone relevant was present.
Nobody looked relaxed. Especially Chris.
Liliana sat beside him. And for the first time, even she looked shaken.
Matthew placed the photographs on the table.
Silence immediately followed.
Everyone’s face turned pale, especially the girls.
The reality of the situation finally felt real. The stalker wasn’t watching from afar anymore. He was nearby, watching, waiting and following Liliana.
Chris suddenly stood. Everyone looked at him. His expression shocked them. Because he wasn’t simply angry.
The executives exchanged puzzled looks.
"Any campaign. Any schedule. Any public appearance."
He looked directly at his father.
"She only accepts it if I’m there."
Whispers immediately spread across the room.
Matthew raised a hand.
The room fell silent once more.
"I know all of you are wondering why my son is reacting this way."
One executive nodded. "To be honest, Chairman, he reminds me of myself whenever I’m being overprotective of my wife."
Matthew looked at Chris and Liliana, as if asking for permission to talk. But to everyone’s surprise, Chris broke their silence.
"Because I am his husband."
Their jaw dropped. Several members of the security team blinked in disbelief.
Then Chris continued.
"I want everyone here to understand why I am anxious about the situation. I knew you heard about how I like Ms. Liliana Walker. The truth is..." A pause. "Her real name is Liliana Sterling St. Claire, and she’s been my wife for five years now."
No one was able to react at first. Matthew slowly surveyed the room before speaking.
"If anyone wishes to say something, you’re free to do so. I know you all have questions."
Silence lingered until the company’s president cleared her throat.
"Chairman... with all due respect, your family’s personal affairs aren’t ours to question."
She glanced at Chris.
"This isn’t the first time a celebrity has kept a marriage private."
She paused before continuing.
"Over the past five years, this company’s revenue has tripled." She looked around the room. "We’re businesspeople, not gossip columnists. I’m sorry if this sounds blunt, but keeping your marriage secret benefited the company."
Several executives nodded.
"Our shareholders stayed. Our investors remained confident. Pulse continued growing. We expanded. We created thousands of stable jobs."
She smiled politely at Liliana. "And right now, Miss Walker or Mrs. St. Claire, rather, is now one of the company’s most valuable assets. Her safety and security is what matters."
Matthew smiled then looked at Chris.
He nodded. "I don’t think we have to further discuss your request. So I agreed."
Nobody argued.
Because this wasn’t about convenience anymore.
It was about safety.
Liliana looked toward Chris.
His hand immediately found hers beneath the table. The gesture wasn’t noticed by everyone.
The executives made an assurance that their relationship would remain a secret. They don’t really care about it. They only care about profit, about making money.
Sarah then stood. "I have another recommendation."
Everyone looked at her. "The penthouse is compromised."
Nobody liked those words. Compromised. The building suddenly felt unsafe.
Sarah continued. "If I were him, I’d keep watching it."
Matthew nodded. "So we make him watch." The chairman smiled.
A cold one, like a businessman, a strategist..
"We’ll use it as a decoy."
Robin immediately understood.
The company vehicles, the penthouse, the routes. Everything. All of it would continue operating normally.
Security teams would still arrive. Vehicles would still enter. Lights would still turn on. Anyone watching would believe they remained there.
Meanwhile, the real residents would disappear.
Amanda immediately approved. "I like this plan."
Matthew nodded. "There is only one place I trust."
Everyone already knew. The St. Claire Mansion.
The estate was heavily secured, privately monitored, and protected by both technology and personnel.
It was far safer than the penthouse. Much safer.
The meeting ended shortly afterward.
Security preparations began immediately. The vehicles were reassigned. Their routes were changed. And bodyguards were doubled.
Late that night, the Sterlings quietly packed their belongings.
Somewhere in the city, a man stared at a photograph of the penthouse.
Confident, satisfied. Believing he was winning and knew where Liliana lived. He thought he was getting closer.
What he didn’t know was that by tomorrow morning, the building he had spent weeks watching would be empty.
And the woman he obsessed over would be behind the walls of the most secure estate in the country.
