My Kingdom Building Done Right!

Chapter 381: What In Sparta’s Name…

"T-This..." Leone blinked as he heard a notification sound inside his head.

It had been a while since he had last heard it, so he was caught by surprise. Rows of text also appeared in front of him, detailing his next mission.

Unfortunately, it came at a bad time....

A very bad time.

"What’s wrong?" Aria asked, wondering if she had hurt Leone while servicing him before they went to sleep. "Did I graze it with my teeth?"

At that moment, the young lady looked up at him, holding his shaft with her soft and delicate hands.

Her soft, cherry-colored lips rested on his tip, while her eyes looked at him askance.

This scene was so erotic that Leone’s member twitched on its own.

"N-No," Leone replied. "It felt really good, so I was a bit surprised."

"Really?"

"Yes. It felt good, Aria."

Her eyes turned into crescents after being praised by Leone. She then resumed her duty while the young man had temporarily set aside the notification message as he planned to read it later.

After all, he would feel bad if he didn’t focus on what was happening at the moment, especially since Aria was doing her best to perform her nightly duty properly.

A few minutes later, Leone subconsciously raised his hips. At the same time, a gasp escaped from his lips.

His body even trembled a bit. The release was stronger than he expected.

Perhaps it was because he had been abstaining for the past few days while dealing with his responsibilities that the tension that had accumulated within him had finally reached its limit.

And Aria, being the caring and loving young lady that she was, seemed more than happy to receive it.

When it finally ended, Leone’s hips lowered themselves on the bed as he panted for breath.

"I’m sorry, Aria. And thank you," Leone said after he regained his breath and composure. "That was amazing."

Aria didn’t reply right away, busy cleaning him up.

At first, everything was new to her. But now, she was used to it. Truth be told, being praised by Leone made her happy, so she always did her best whenever it was her turn to accompany him.

She was also very happy that her feelings had finally reached him.

This also made her grandfather, Kael, so happy that he laughed so loudly a few days ago, sounding as if he had won some Divine Artifact from the Wheel of Fortune.

He had even said the words...

"Of course she succeeded! She’s my granddaughter, after all! Did you honestly expect any other outcome?! HAHAHA!"

Aria had turned bright red when she heard her grandfather’s shameless declaration.

That being so, she had immediately asked him to stop talking about things that didn’t concern him, yet Kael merely laughed even louder.

For the old man, seeing his beloved granddaughter finally find happiness was more than enough to make him feel satisfied.

And now, as Aria looked at Leone with a gentle smile, she couldn’t help but feel like all the effort she had put in had now become worth it.

As for Leone, he was completely unaware of what Kael had been celebrating a few days ago. So, he simply thought that his vassal had finally gone senile.

Then again, since it was Kael, he believed that ignoring his antics would be the best course of action.

After thanking Aria and cuddling with her until she finally fell asleep, Leone finally turned his attention to the notification that had appeared in front of him earlier.

He was still holding the young lady in his arms, whose head was resting on his chest.

Even so, his expression turned serious after seeing the notification that had appeared before him.

’O-Only three hundred?!’ Leone did his best not to hug Aria too tightly after reading the contents of his new mission.

He had already planned to bring an elite force to conduct guerrilla warfare against the Britannian Army.

However, he intended to bring at least five to seven hundred warriors with him.

After all, he would be facing off against an army that numbered at least thirty to sixty thousand strong.

With that said, three hundred was simply too small a force if he wanted to deal significant damage and escape without being targeted by their enemy forces!

’What to do?’ At that moment, the frown on Leone’s face deepened.

It was a good thing that he waited for Aria to fall asleep first before reading the contents of his newest mission.

If she saw Leone’s troubled expression, the young lady would also feel anxious, which he’d rather not happen.

’It just means that I have to choose quality over quantity this time around,’ Leone thought. ’That being said, I can only bring those who have the highest chance of survival with me.’

The only saving grace was that the mounts were not included in the warrior count.

This meant that he could still technically bring three hundred mounts with him that were capable of combat.

The Drakes and the Pteranodons were all Rank 3 Monsters, all of which were strong in their own right.

As long as Leone chose wisely, there was a way to overcome this great disparity between their forces.

Aside from that, his mission only stated that what he needed to do for now was delay their enemy.

It didn’t say that they had to win against the Britannian Army.

’This will be tough, but not impossible.’ Leone forced himself to calm down.

He decided to save this topic for tomorrow. He wanted to discuss it with Daedalus, but the latter and Hassan always left to give him privacy whenever Aria and Yuni accompanied him for the night.

Due to the day’s exhaustion, as well as the relief that he gained from Aria’s care and devotion, Leone soon closed his eyes to sleep.

The young man thought he wouldn’t be able to sleep readily, but before he knew it, sleep had claimed him in her loving embrace.

When he woke up the next day, he found himself still hugging Aria while she slept.

Looking at her peaceful sleep, Leone decided to remain where he was and continue to hold her.

Aria was now one of his precious people, whom he wished to have a happy and peaceful life.

And in order to make that happen, he needed to ensure that the Britannian Army would not succeed in their plan of invading the Borderlands.

Brushing a strand of hair that covered her beautiful face, Leone soon planted a kiss on her cheek before hugging her a little tighter.

Last night, he and Aria had chatted about a few things.

About the future of the tribe, their relationship, as well as her wish that she would one day give birth to Leone’s children.

Yuni also shared the same thoughts.

That being so, Leone promised them that he would happily grant their wish once the Aslan Tribe had become stable and once all danger threatening their lands was eradicated.

He had already accepted the two ladies as his lovers, so he would make sure to make their wish come true without fail.

Half an hour later, Aria finally opened her eyes and greeted Leone a good morning.

The two then exchanged three sweet pecks on the lips before finally deciding to leave the comfort of their bed.

It was the start of another day, and both of them needed to fulfill their respective duties.

Leone had appointed Aria as the High Priestess of the Forgotten Temple the previous day.

It was a position that carried great responsibility, yet the young lady didn’t back away from the challenge.

The old Aria might have refused, believing that such an important role was too much for her to handle.

However, she had changed.

While staying by Leone’s side, Aria had grown stronger.

She understood that if she wished to become a woman worthy of standing beside him, she needed to fulfill her responsibilities within the Aslan Tribe and guide its people to the best of her abilities.

Fortunately, she wasn’t completely unfamiliar with the role.

After all, Kael was a shaman, so Aria had grown up learning the ways of how to properly offer sacrifices in worship of the Earth Goddess.

"That’s my girl," Leone said with a smile as he finished helping Aria wear the ceremonial dress for the High Priestess. "It looks good on you, Aria."

"Thank you, Leone." Aria blushed a bit due to how tender and affectionate his gaze was.

The two stared at each other for a while before sharing a deep and loving kiss before they left to do their duties.

When Aria finally left the house to have breakfast, Leone lightly rubbed his temples. Why did it feel like he had just sinned?

Aria was a High Priestess by day, and his woman by night.

Somehow, that realization made him feel like he was doing something taboo.

’Oh, well. I’m sure the Goddesses will understand...probably,’ Leone thought.

The Earth Mother was the mother of all living things, while Eostre was still in deep sleep.

As for the Goddess of Light, Aine, Leone believed that she would also turn a blind eye to this arrangement... or at least, that was what he hoped would happen.

Suddenly, Daedalus flew back inside the room, while Hassan merged with Leone’s shadow like he always did at this time of the day.

The young man decided to set aside the feeling of guilt that he felt and told Daedalus about the mission that he received last night.

"What in Sparta’s name..." Daedalus muttered.

"Um? Sparta?" Leone blinked in response. "What Sparta?"

The grimoire coughed lightly before continuing what it had to say.

"It seems that we need to take this matter very seriously," Daedalus stated as if to hide its earlier outburst. "We need to choose the warriors that we will take with us on this mission wisely."

"I agree." Leone nodded, completely forgetting Daedalus’ earlier outburst. "We need to revise our strategy. I’m just glad that Vlad is going with us. His ability will be very helpful in the upcoming battle."

Daedalus and Hassan both agreed with Leone’s statement.

The two only hoped that the six "specialists" that would be coming from the Helion Family would be able to solve the disparity in strength between them and the Britannian Army that they would be facing in a few weeks.
