My Life as an Awoken

While I understand that my guess on how abilities have come about might be right. There really isn’t a whole lot I can do about it right now.

I could publicize the information, but what would really happen?

Would people try to make an artificial god with the powers they want? Would that work?

I feel like it wouldn’t. The emotions and thoughts needed probably have to be genuine. Any false feelings or thoughts wouldn’t work.

If we tell them it could make them afraid that it would happen again. But if we lie, it could solve the immediate issue, but future issues could arise.

Like what if whispers of a cult worshipping an evil God goes around. With the confirmation of good Gods there would also have to be evil ones.

People tend to fear the unknown more than a known threat. It might be better to have a small panic now rather than a much larger one later.

Well, either way I’m not the one making the decision. It will be up to the various governments. I just need to provide the information.

A few days passed and the delegation we sent to the middle east arrived.

The main hub of the alliance is in Dubai. They decided on that city because of the clear development and infrastructure.

I had the delegation bring along a pair of AR glasses. Normally we would have gone personally to handle the negotiations but I wasn’t about to leave my safe little bunker to go somewhere so compromising.

She was attractive with distinct sharp eyes, thick eye brows, dark brown hair, plump lips, and tanned skin. Her bright red clothes were also more revealing than I had thought was allowed.

She tilted her head back and looked down her nose at me as she said, "You seem surprised that I’m a woman."

I cleared my throat, then said, "I am. I didn’t think that would be allowed given the political sphere of the area. I also didn’t think you would be allowed to dress as freely as you are given the culture."

She continued to speak from a position of unspoken authority, "While I am the leader, I am just as much a prisoner. But, my ability allows me to do whatever I please so long as I stay here. I receive unlimited support and backing. Along with whatever luxury I desire. Even if I can’t go where I want, who would want to leave? Anyway, we should hurry up and talk about what you will offer us to allow you to open a Purple Lotus here."

Xue QIng spoke up, "What makes you so sure we will actually agree to open one in your alliance’s area, and why would we be the ones offering anything? If anything it should be the other way around. Don’t you think?"

She laughed haughtily, her snobbish air was suffocating. She said, "I take it you have seen the press conference, right?"

Xue Qing, "So, what?"

She sighed exaggeratedly, "Well, if you had then you would know that I have already steered public opinion in my favor. What would people think if after our representative acted so humbly you turned us down?

I think there would be some public outrage, especially if we utilize our media outlets that we silently own around the world. It would be far too easy to turn public opinion against you for perceived racism.

However, if we want to talk in a more constructive manner. Then we should talk about what you are offering.

You see, even if we can’t learn what the training method specifics are because of the contract. We can learn general things, like for example they are only ways to train the body. Not what you would call energy training, which we happen to have.

So, as you can see we are in an extremely favorable position in this deal. You will offer us something. We just have to decide if it is enough. So, make your bid."

Even if she was haughty, she had the capital to be. An energy training method would be a game changer.

The worth would have to be calculated in the billions.

The current body training methods sell like this, low cost $1,000 mid cost $10,000 high cost $100,000 peak cost $250,000 and ascended cost $1,000,000.

We priced it like this to have it be a clear commitment to begin training. We didn’t want people to buy the cheapest without being committed. Besides, we did release a completely free method to try out first.

With how much companies and the government are paying to get rid of monsters this isn’t a crazy expense for the average hunter.

A beginning hunter can make quite a few thousand dollars a month if they really work for it. More advanced hunters can make over $10,000 a month. So, if they work for it and invest into themselves this is the proper price for the economy. We can’t make it too cheap or it loses value.

So, with that in mind, along with how many people are buying even the cheapest of body training methods. It makes you realize just how much money we have made and how much we stand to make if we can get energy training methods.

Not that money is our main objective.
