My Milf Tamer System

Chapter 130: PARTIAL TRUTH

"This is the most significant discovery in neuroscience in human history." Her voice was breathless. Not clinical. Not raw. Awed. "And you’re telling me in a hospital basement while wearing jeans."

"I told you in a hospital. That’s more formal than a manga café."

She laughed. Involuntary. Surprised. The sound cracking through her composure like lightning through ice. She pressed her hand over her mouth. Her eyes wet above her fingers.

"She made a joke about a girl in a manga café," Lucas said. "Aiko. She made her laugh. Aurora told her about a man in apartment 4A who wants to be a cat. Not metaphorically. He has a blog."

Reiko’s hand dropped from her mouth. "You’re telling me your brain passenger has a sense of humor."

"She has a sense of humor, a sense of purpose, a sense of fear, and a friend named Aiko who called her the silver lady."

"This is impossible."

"You keep using that word. The blood was impossible. The brain scan is impossible. Aurora manifesting physically for twelve seconds to save a drowning girl was impossible." He stood. "At what point do you stop saying impossible and start saying real?"

*He’s standing in my lab telling me there’s a sentient entity living in his brain and she has friends and fears and a sense of humor and she saved someone’s life and I should stop saying impossible and start saying real. He’s right. The data is right. The blood is right. The brain scan is right. Everything is telling me that the impossible is real and I’ve been studying anomalous perception for twelve years and the anomaly was sitting in my scanner wearing jeans and naming his brain regions like they’re people.*

*Because they are people. That’s the impossible part. That’s the part that breaks everything.*

*And I want to touch his arm again. That’s the other impossible part. The part where the scientist in me wants to run more tests and the woman in me wants to feel that warmth again and both of them are looking at the same brain scan and seeing different things.*

*The scientist sees the discovery of a lifetime.*

*The woman sees a man whose touch makes her feel alive for the first time in four years.*

*Both of them want to take him to the private lab tonight.*

*For completely different reasons.*

*Shut up, Reiko.*

🎯 DR. REIKO FUJIWARA — BREAKTHROUGH

Taming Progress: 14% → 19%

Suppressed Desire: 52% → 56%

Phase: 1 (ACTIVE)

EVENT LOG:

→ fMRI scan: COMPLETE

→ Results: UNPRECEDENTED

→ Additional synapses: CONFIRMED

→ Enhanced empathic processing: CONFIRMED (340%)

→ Unknown region: DETECTED

→ Lucas named it: "Aurora"

→ She laughed. First time.

→ Her glasses are crooked.

→ She hasn’t fixed them.

⚠️ She’s at the threshold.

The scientist wants data.

The woman wants warmth.

Both lead to the same place:

your arms. Your skin.

The thing she can’t explain

and can’t stop seeking.

Tonight. 7 PM. Private lab.

She’ll try to understand Aurora.

She’ll try to understand the touch.

She’ll fail at both.

Because understanding requires

distance. And distance is the

one thing she can’t maintain

when her fingers are on your skin.

"She laughed, Master.

The scientist who considers

laughter inefficient just laughed

because you made a joke about

a man who wants to be a cat.

Aurora says: ’I like her.

She has crooked glasses and

she laughed at my joke.

That’s two more things than

most humans give me.’

I think Aurora is making

a friend.

Through you.

Again."

```
Reiko fixed her glasses. Straightened her lab coat. Picked up her tablet. Held it against her chest like armor.
"7 PM. My private lab. Bring whatever evidence you have of Aurora’s existence. Journal entries. Aiko’s testimony. Whatever she is." Her voice was rebuilding. The scientist reassembling around the woman who had just laughed and cried in the space of three minutes. "I’m going to understand this. All of it. With or without your cooperation."
"With my cooperation?"
"Then faster." She opened the lab door. Dismissal. But her hand lingered on the frame. "Lucas."
"Yeah."
"Does she know I’m looking at her?"
"She knows."
"How does she feel about it?"
"You’d have to ask her. But she said she likes you. She likes that your glasses are crooked."
Reiko’s hand went to her glasses. They weren’t crooked anymore. She’d fixed them without noticing.
"She shouldn’t notice things like that," Reiko said quietly. "Brain regions don’t notice glasses."
"She does. She notices everything. Just like you."
Reiko looked at him. Dark eyes behind frameless lenses. The scientist and the woman fighting for control of the same face. The scientist winning, barely, the woman gaining ground with every second he stood in her lab smelling like coffee and impossibility.
"7 PM," she said. "Don’t be late. And don’t touch anyone between now and then."
"You said that last time."
"I’m saying it again."
"Still jealous?"
"It’s not jealousy. It’s controlled variables." She paused. Her fingers tightening on the doorframe. "Is it jealousy?"
"Sounds like jealousy."
"It’s not." She closed the door. Through it, barely audible: "Shut up, Reiko."
*She talks to herself. The woman who considers self-talk inefficient just told herself to shut up in her own lab. Because she knows it’s jealousy. She knows the controlled variables excuse is tissue paper over something she can’t control. And the scientist in her hates that. And the woman in her doesn’t care.*
Elena’s text arrived as he reached the elevator.
*How was the scan?*
*She found Aurora. Golden region in my prefrontal cortex. Pulsing. Independent neural activity.*
*Aurora was visible?*
*Like a sunrise on a brain scan.*
*How did Reiko react?*
*She laughed. Her glasses went crooked. She told herself to shut up.*
*She talked to herself?*
*Out loud. In her lab. After seeing Aurora.*
*A neurologist talking to herself after discovering a sentient entity. That’s either a breakdown or a breakthrough.*
*Both. Definitely both.*
*Tonight?*
*7 PM. Private lab. No interruptions.*
*Better equipment.*
*For research.*
*Nobody believes that, Lucas.*
*Nobody.*
The elevator opened. Tokyo morning. Sunlight on glass. His brain carrying a golden passenger who had just been seen for the first time through the eyes of science. And a neurologist somewhere in a basement lab, staring at a brain scan, touching her own fingers where they’d tingled on his skin, whispering two words to herself over and over.
Not impossible.
Not impossible.
*Tonight. 7 PM. Reiko’s private lab. She’ll bring her instruments and her questions and her four years of celibate efficiency and her surgeon’s hands that trembled on my skin. And Aurora will be there, gold and quiet, waiting to be known by someone who studies brains for a living.*
*The scientist is going to meet the entity. The scalpel is going to meet the dawn.*
*And neither of them will be the same after.*
March 1st. Dream Page Manga Café. Akihabara. 4:17 PM.
Reiko sat in the corner booth with the rigid posture of a woman who considered comfort an enemy of productivity. Lab coat still on. Frameless glasses catching the café’s fluorescent light. Her tablet open to a blank document, stylus poised, ready to transcribe reality into data. She looked like a surgeon waiting for a patient who was already on the table.
Lucas sat across from her. Aiko behind the counter, serving two college students browsing volumes of One Piece. Yuki stood guard by the door, arms folded, her dark eyes tracking everyone who entered with the quiet vigilance of a woman who understood what protection meant in this country.
The café smelled like old paper and instant coffee and the particular electrical warmth of aging computer terminals. Three customers total. Their desires humming at low volume. Manageable background noise that Aiko could filter for ninety seconds now, thanks to Marcus’s buffer technique and Aurora’s daily sessions.
