My New Life as a Max Level Dragon Princess [OP MC LitRPG Isekai]
Chapter 57: Second ClassI received a wonderful gift from my parents: a brand-new dress woven from the hardest materials and designed to bond directly with my soul as a powerful Soul Treasure.
[You have successfully bonded with the Soul Treasure: Divine Dragon Princess Royal Dress – Tier 3!]
“It is a special dress we made just for you. It will act as armor as well,” my mother said with bright enthusiasm. “Isn’t that amazing?”
“We wove it using threads forged from a mix of various magic metals, along with our own horns, scales, and claws,” my father explained warmly. “After everything you went through before, we wanted to create something that would protect you as much as possible.”
“It is still only Tier 3 after all. If we made it any stronger, it would not fit properly with your soul,” my mother added. “But that is the true beauty of Soul Treasures. It will grow together with you. Feed it materials and other resources, just like your shapeshifting weapon, and it will become stronger. It also possesses its own shapeshifting abilities. Once you master it, the dress can transform into all kinds of different shapes and forms. If you ever want to stop wearing it while still benefiting from its effects, it can merge seamlessly with your existing clothes.”
“Wow, but wouldn’t it get stinky?” I wondered aloud.
“It has an automatic cleaning effect,” my father reassured me with a gentle smile. “So it will always stay as clean and fresh as possible. It also has natural self-regeneration. Truly, it is the ultimate dress for you.”
“I helped make it!” my grandmother announced with a happy smile. “I am quite good at artifact crafting after learning from my father. Though I may never match his incredible skill, I think I did a pretty good job this time!”
“You really did, Grandma. This is awesome!” I exclaimed. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
I quickly activated the dress’s ability, and it instantly replaced my current white dress. I jumped off my seat and twirled once, feeling like a Disney princess for a brief, joyful moment. “It is great! I love it!”
Although I had dressed very plainly in my past life, I had always dreamed of experiencing a childhood like this, where I was cherished and treated like a real princess. This moment truly felt like the best gift I could have received.
“Now!” my grandmother said, clapping her hands together. “How about you get that new class? It is a high-grade Class Stone, and I believe it is a very strong one at that!”
“Huh…” I looked at the stone curiously. “Okay!”
I held the Class Stone against my chest. It slowly dissolved and began merging with my body. The mysterious sigil on its surface appeared briefly on my chest before fading away.
Ding!
[You have absorbed a High-Grade Class Stone.]
[You have awakened the Class: Jack of All Trades – Tier 3: Level 0/300!]
[You learned the Class Skill: Versatile Aptitude – Tier 1: Level 0/10 (Passive)]
[You learned the Class Skill: Skill Weaver – Tier 1: Level 0/10 (Active)]
[You learned the Class Skill: Improvisation Mastery – Tier 1: Level 0/10 (Passive)]
[All of your Stats have increased by +150,000.]
A warm surge of energy spread through my chest as the glowing stone melted into me. The sigil flared with a bright yellow light for a second before fading, leaving a faint and comforting warmth behind my ribs. I blinked several times while staring at the floating blue windows that only I could see. The massive boost of 150,000 stats felt immediately noticeable. It had even strengthened my Mind and Soul Stats, making my soul and psychic abilities noticeably more powerful. The sensation was truly amazing.
“Jack of All Trades…?” I whispered, tilting my head slightly.
My grandmother, Benladra, grinned proudly. “A perfect fit for you, my little troublemaker. That class is rare even among high-grade stones. It will not give you overwhelming power in a single area, but it makes everything easier. You will pick up skills faster, combine them in creative ways, and never be completely useless in any situation.”
My father crossed his arms, looking thoughtful yet a little worried. “It is flexible… perhaps too flexible. She might spread herself too thin if she is not careful.”
“I will be careful, Dad,” I said quickly, already opening my status window to examine the new skills.
[Versatile Aptitude]
All skill acquisition speed x3. Affinity with non-specialized weapons, magic, and crafts increased. You adapt quicker to new situations.
[Skill Weaver]
Consume mana and stamina to temporarily fuse two compatible skills or spells into a new, hybrid technique. Cooldown depends on complexity.
[Improvisation Mastery]
When facing unexpected problems, your creativity and problem-solving receive a significant boost. Chance to discover hidden applications of existing abilities.
My eyes sparkled with excitement. This class was exactly what I needed. After being forced to rest for a whole year, I wanted to do everything: fighting, exploring, crafting, and magic experiments. Now I have a class that encouraged me to try it all.
The skills were incredible, and they made perfect sense for a Class that started at Tier 3. Skill Weaver seemed the most fun, and it could prove incredibly useful when I found myself in tough situations.
“Alright, now that we are done here,” my mother said, “and now that you have rested and recovered for a full year, I suppose it is about time you rank up your Human Path and change your Class, right?”
“Yeah,” my father nodded in agreement. “You can do it through the system. I am surprised you actually obeyed us all this time instead of rushing ahead.”
“Hey, I am not THAT impulsive, Dad,” I muttered. “Besides, I wanted to see what options I would get with all of you here. Let’s see… Let’s go for the class first.”
I tapped into my Rogue Class and selected the “Rank Up” option. New windows immediately appeared.
[Confirmed. Showcasing available Classes.]
[Bandit – Tier 2]
Specializing in pillaging and using brute force to surprise and kill enemies in large groups, Bandits are impeccable survivors of the wild. They use their abilities to rob and kill indiscriminately. They possess greater Strength than other Rogue Classes.
[Thief – Tier 2]
Fast, nimble, and with sticky fingers. Thieves specialize in only one thing: stealing. There is nobody better at it. With their advanced stealth abilities, poison manipulation, and stealing hands, there is little that can escape their grasp… as long as they do not get caught in the act.
[Adventurer – Tier 2]
Adventurers are all-rounders that know how to survive and learn a bit of everything. They specialize in traveling and wielding bows and knives. They are often seen with an animal companion by their side. They have no strong specialization but possess brighter futures.
As I read through the options, I felt slightly taken aback by the first two classes. They did not seem like something a princess like me, let alone a dragon, should ever choose.
“What did you get?” my father asked. “I heard you chose Rogue as your first class, like me. But it is still not too late to change paths. I remember obtaining Bandit, Thief, and Adventurer as options after I maxed out Rogue in my younger years.”
“Y-Yeah,” I muttered. “I got those too… Isn’t it weird for a princess to be a bandit though?!”
“Hahaha, it is hilarious, but there is nothing wrong with that. It is just a class in the end,” my father said, laughing heartily. “There is no stigma about what classes people have in this society. It is their actions that truly matter.”
“I see… phew!” I sighed in relief. The fear of being chased away or discriminated against for receiving an “evil class” vanished completely. “I still have to think about this carefully though…”
“Hm,” my father nodded. “I chose Rogue because I wanted to be fast and capable of sneaking behind enemies to surprise them. It is an incredible skill for both offense and subterfuge. Most people who are not of our lineage might find it lacking offensively, but as dragons with naturally powerful bodies, we benefit the most from classes that enhance our movement speed. A common weakness most young dragons share is slowness. We are too strong, too big, and too heavy. The Rogue Class fixes that with enhanced agility, movement speed, and stealth. Aside from that, the stronger you are at base, the more powerful the class becomes as it adapts to your strength. Right?”
“Yeah!” I nodded enthusiastically. “I could conjure special knives with my elemental powers. It felt like magic. It recently evolved into Knife Rain!”
“I see. I could do the same,” he said, conjuring a knife made of glowing nebula-like energy in his hand. “These proved incredibly useful back then, though I no longer use them.”
“Yeah!” I nodded again. “Um, so what did you choose, Dad?”
“Me?” my father asked. “I chose Thief.”
“T-Thief…” Even after his words about not discriminating against classes, imagining a King with the Thief Class felt surprising. “I-I see…”
“Choose Thief if you want to continue specializing in agility and movement while gaining the power to steal from others,” he explained. “Bandit is interesting, but you do not need more raw strength, do you? The other option is Adventurer… I do not know much about it. It is simply an all-rounder class that might lead to something unique I have not tried before.”
“Interesting…” I nodded thoughtfully. “Thief sounds appealing if it has a Steal Skill. How does that skill work, Dad?”
“At Level 1, it gives you a chance to steal something from a foe. Because I was a divine dragon back then, I could easily steal a chosen magic power, affinity, or stat from an opponent temporarily. I could also target their armor, weapon, or accessories. Be aware that if your foe is already strong, it will not work most of the time unless you weaken them first or catch them completely off guard.”
“Sounds really strong!” I gasped. “Can I steal stats and grow—”
“No,” he shook his head. “You cannot permanently steal things other than physical items.”
“Ah… well, that is fine too,” I nodded. “Well, I choose…”
