My Online Girlfriend Has a Twin Sister

Chapter 503 - 323: Passionately Kissing Ningning’s Little Mouth

She followed Chen Yuan into the hallway, and the two walked side by side.

Chen Yuan habitually reached for her delicate, soft hand. "Earning a lot is a good thing," he said. "We can save up and buy a big villa in Lanjing, the kind with a yard where we can go for walks..."

Their hands touched.

Jiang Ning froze, pulling her hand away as if she’d been shocked.

"We’re at the office... Chairman Jiang, what are you doing?" Her cheeks flushed red as she shot him a small glare.

"Hm? Getting into character already, are we? It’s fine. Only the two of us can access this top-floor office with our keycards. The stairwells are locked. No one would know, no matter what we did." A wicked smile played on Chen Yuan’s lips as he leaned close to Jiang Ning’s ear.

"That’s still not okay. Business is business, and personal is personal. It’s better to keep them separate." She deftly dodged Chen Yuan, taking a few light steps forward.

"Are you getting shy?"

"No. This is a professional environment. Chairman Jiang, please be mindful of your position."

"I don’t want to. Didn’t we agree that I could kiss you whenever I want? You won’t even let me be affectionate with my own girlfriend?"

"Can’t you do that at home?"

"It’s not the same feeling. Just one kiss." Chen Yuan reached out to catch Jiang Ning.

"No. Absolutely not."

Jiang Ning took another step forward, dodging his devilish grasp. She kept evading him, a lovely, rosy flush spreading across her cheeks.

She knew that if she gave in to Chen Yuan just once, she’d have to give in countless more times.

The top-floor office would stop being a place for work and become Chen Yuan’s "playhouse." He’d catch and ravage her every time she came up for a file, and she couldn’t let that happen.

"Ningning, you look really beautiful today," Chen Yuan said suddenly, his face breaking into a wide smile. "That professional look... I like it."

"What are you up to?" She suddenly had a bad feeling.

"Let me get a feel for it, what do you say?"

"Chen, if you keep this up, I’m not speaking to you anymore." Jiang Ning retreated step by step, the composed expression on her face replaced with the panic of a startled fawn.

The office was only so big; Jiang Ning had nowhere to run. That was exactly what Chen Yuan was counting on. Quick as a flash, he darted toward Ningning and wrapped an arm around her waist.

Before Jiang Ning could even let out a gasp, his mouth covered hers.

The rose-scented lipstick smudged as their lips met. She pushed against Chen Yuan’s shoulders, pounding on them to show her displeasure, but her red lips were just so soft, and the scent emanating from her was intoxicating.

The earrings dangling from her lobes jingled with the movement.

"You... L-let’s go back to the office first. At least you can’t do this in the hallway... Chen." Knowing she was helpless, she could only soften her tone and plead in a low voice.

"See? It would’ve been much better if you’d just done this from the start. It’s not like you can escape."

Chen Yuan loosened his grip on Ningning’s arms. Now that Jiang Ning had agreed to be his secretary, she had fallen right into his trap.

He’d have plenty of opportunities to slowly change her from now on.

How could that not make Chen Yuan happy?

And so, he led Jiang Ning into the office by the hand.

"This is where we’ll be working. If you’re not comfortable, we can have another desk brought up. Of course, we could also just work at the same desk."

Chen Yuan pointed to his desk.

Feeling his hand roaming at her waist, Jiang Ning lightly bit her lip.

"Then we’re definitely getting another desk. Don’t you have an attached room? I can work in there."

"No way. Didn’t I say that a secretary has to take care of the chairman’s personal life? If I get frustrated with work and can’t look up and see you, I’ll get into a bad mood, and that’s not good for productivity."

"Look at me? Why would you need to look at me?"

"Because you’re beautiful. Easy on the eyes. Look at you today in that white shirt and high heels... gorgeous."

"You’re becoming such a smooth-talker. I’m ignoring you. I need to get familiar with my work."

True to her word, Jiang Ning actually left him by himself and started organizing the documents on the desk. She flipped through them, sorting as she went, occasionally picking up a file to examine it closely.

This made Chen Yuan want to interrupt her, but he didn’t have the heart to. He could only sit on the sofa by himself.

After a moment, he walked over to her.

He didn’t try any funny business this time. Instead, he pushed the comfortable chair meant exclusively for the chairman right behind her.

"Sit and read," he said gently, his tone becoming serious again.

Jiang Ning gave Chen Yuan a surprised glance.

She sat down in the chairman’s seat, feeling slightly out of place. From this angle, a glance to the left offered a stunning, panoramic view of Lanjing’s bustling skyscrapers through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

"Let me give you a brief overview of Bauhinia Company as I understand it. Ningning, feel free to ask any questions."

"Mm-hmm."

With Jiang Ning’s full attention on him, Chen Yuan suddenly became all business. He began to explain, in simple yet profound terms, everything Pei Youwen had taught him since he joined the company. He covered their investment philosophy, their most successful current projects, and, of course, their strategic plans for the future.

There was no denying it: a man focused on his work was dazzlingly handsome.

Jiang Ning listened attentively at first, but after ten or so minutes, she found herself in a bit of a daze as she watched Chen Yuan, who was now sitting on the desk, speaking with nonstop eloquence.

The Chen before her now was like a completely different person. Gone was his usual shyness and timidity, and gone was the roguishness from when he was teasing her just moments ago.

Much of his youthful immaturity had faded away.

The person before her was truly a man in command of a corporation, a strategist mapping out its future—not the nineteen-year-old intern chairman who had only just joined the company.

He seemed to glow.

All this time, Chen Yuan had been working hard—just not in places where the two sisters could see it.
