My Pervert Sytem

Chapter 122: Shadow Market

The cavernous stone chamber of the underground auction house vibrated with the chaotic murmurs of criminals and exiled nobles. A thick haze of sweet tobacco and dark magical residue hung suspended in the humid air.

Leon stood near the towering obsidian archway taking a moment to analyze the volatile environment.

His Mana Sense actively painted the sprawling room in vibrant shifting colors inside his mind. He could clearly see the dense swirling energy networks of every single person present.

The room was packed with seasoned killers and wealthy corrupt merchants. Most of them radiated the standard pressure of low tier Masters.

A few dangerous figures lurking in the darker corners projected the suffocating heavy weight of Grandmasters.

Lady Valeriana watched him with deep mysterious amusement. Her form-fitting black silk gown clung perfectly to her generous curves as she took another slow drag from her smoking pipe.

"You look like a man plotting a massacre," Valeriana murmured softly letting a trail of purple smoke drift into the space between them.

"I am simply evaluating the local merchandise," Leon replied his deep resonant voice cutting through the ambient noise of the crowd.

He offered her a dark confident smirk before turning his attention back to the massive stone stage.

The masked auctioneer stood behind a thick wooden podium waving a glowing golden gavel to demand silence from the rowdy audience.

The chaotic chatter rapidly died down as a pair of heavily armored guards carried a small glowing wooden lockbox onto the center of the stage.

The guards wore thick metallic gauntlets designed to suppress extreme magical radiation.

"Tonight we begin with a prize of monumental value," the masked auctioneer shouted into the quiet room. "This item was violently extracted from the deepest ruins of the southern volcanic mountain range."

The auctioneer reached forward and flipped the heavy iron latches on the wooden box. He pushed the lid open revealing a massive jagged crystal that pulsed with a blinding searing crimson light.

A dense wave of blistering heat instantly washed over the massive stone room. The ambient temperature spiked causing several cloaked figures in the front rows to take nervous steps backward.

"Behold the Bloodfire Core," the auctioneer announced triumphantly. "A pristine natural mana crystal saturated with centuries of concentrated volcanic energy. This is the perfect flawless catalyst for any Tier six to Nine Master looking to shatter their final mortal barrier and step proudly into the realm of a Tier One Grandmaster."

Leon narrowed his dark eyes locking his intense gaze onto the pulsing crimson crystal. He felt his internal kinetic mana react aggressively to the raw power radiating from the stage.

Seraphina had finalized her transition to a Tier Nine Master during their intense dual cultivation the previous night. She possessed the raw combat experience and the terrifying fierce willpower required to break through to the next massive rank.

She only lacked a condensed source of elemental energy to forcefully expand her internal pathways. This glowing red rock was the exact key they needed to conquer the upcoming royal audience.

"The bidding will start at twenty thousand gold coins," the auctioneer declared slamming his golden gavel against the wooden podium.

"Twenty-five thousand," a wealthy corrupt merchant shouted from the center of the room raising a trembling hand.

"Thirty thousand," a rogue mercenary captain countered instantly resting his hand on the hilt of a rusted broadsword.

The bidding war rapidly escalated echoing through the cavernous chamber as the criminal elite desperately fought over the rare magical catalyst.

Leon remained perfectly still standing near the heavy stone pillar. He reached into his dark cloak feeling the massive spatial storage ring he had procured from the rusted Sterling emergency vaults.

The ancient ring was currently holding enough solid gold to purchase half the capital city.

"Fifty thousand gold coins," a dark chilling voice echoed from the VIP seating area located on the raised stone balcony.

The entire room fell into a dead terrified silence.

A tall slender figure stepped forward to the edge of the balcony resting his gloved hands on the stone railing. He wore a heavy black hooded cloak adorned with the dreaded silver crest of a blooming lotus flower.

The Eclipse Syndicate had officially entered the bidding war.

The masked auctioneer swallowed hard his hands visibly shaking as he looked up at the terrifying Syndicate boss.

"We have fifty thousand gold coins from the gentleman on the balcony," the auctioneer stammered nervously. "Do I hear any other offers?"

No one dared to speak. The corrupt merchants and rogue mages kept their eyes glued firmly to the floor refusing to anger a high ranking officer of the deadliest assassin guild on the continent.

Valeriana leaned closer to Leon her soft bare shoulder brushing deliberately against his dark tailored suit.

"That is Lord Malakor," the eccentric broker whispered her voice carrying a rare trace of genuine caution. "He is a Tier Two Grandmaster specializing in shadow manipulation. You should let him have the crystal Leon. Angering him inside this enclosed space is a very fast way to die."

The crystal bell chimed cheerfully in his skull projecting a glowing pink text box directly over Valeriana’s plunging neckline.

[Quest Issued: The Wealthy Warlord]

[Context: A beautiful spy doubts your financial and physical dominance. A true warlord loves to flex his stolen wealth while claiming his territory in front of a massive audience.]

[Objective: Wrap your strong arm firmly around Valeriana’s narrow waist, pull her flush against your side, and casually bid double the Syndicate’s offer while maintaining a bored expression.]

[Reward: +15 Charisma, Skill ’Aura Hardening’, 600 Shameless Points.]

[Failure Penalty: The Host will suffer a violent localized magical disruption causing his teeth to loudly chatter like a freezing beggar for the next ten hours ruining his dark magnetic aesthetic.]

Leon read the humiliating penalty and smoothly decided to show the entire capital underworld exactly who possessed the deepest pockets.

He reached out with his right arm and wrapped his large heavily scarred hand firmly around Valeriana’s narrow waist. He did not ask for permission pulling her athletic curves forcefully against his solid muscular side.

The beautiful spy gasped softly her dark mysterious eyes widening in pure shocking disbelief. The searing blistering heat of his body seeped directly through her thin black silk gown sending a massive jolt of electricity straight down her spine.

Leon kept his handsome face perfectly stoic projecting a dense aura of bored indifference. He looked up at the raised stone balcony locking his dark predatory eyes directly onto the hooded Syndicate boss.

"One hundred thousand gold coins," Leon announced his deep resonant voice echoing heavily off the towering stone walls.

The cavernous auction house erupted into a chaotic symphony of stunned gasps and frantic terrified whispers.

The criminal elites stared at the rugged unknown man who had just casually doubled a fortune while holding the most dangerous information broker in the city against his hip.

Lord Malakor gripped the stone railing tight enough to violently crack the solid rock. A dense wave of corrosive black aura leaked from his hooded figure projecting a suffocating lethal intent directly toward Leon.

"You are playing a very dangerous game stranger," the Syndicate boss hissed his voice echoing with dark magical resonance. "That crystal belongs to the Eclipse."

"Then the Eclipse should have brought more coin," Leon replied smoothly offering the furious assassin a devastating wicked smirk.

The masked auctioneer rapidly slammed his golden gavel down desperate to finalize the sale before a massive bloodbath erupted in the middle of his establishment.

[Quest Completed Successfully!]

[Your jaw remains perfectly relaxed and deeply intimidating.]

[Distributing Rewards: +15 Charisma, Skill ’Aura Hardening’ Acquired, 600 Shameless Points.]

A sudden explosive rush of heat flooded his facial features pushing his Charisma to an incredible one hundred and fifty-five points.

The new defensive skill burned directly into his nervous system allowing him to instantly solidify his kinetic mana into an impenetrable armor just beneath his skin.

"Sold to the gentleman in the dark suit!" the auctioneer shouted waving his hand toward the heavy wooden lockbox.

Leon slowly released Valeriana’s waist leaving the beautiful spy breathing erratically and clutching her smoking pipe for emotional support.

He offered her a polite respectful bow before walking confidently toward the stage ready to claim the prize that would forge his silver goddess into an unstoppable weapon.
