My Pervert Sytem

Chapter 128: Root Cellar Spy

The cold stone floor felt rigid beneath his heavy leather boots as Leon crossed the quiet dim kitchen.

The massive oak preparation island still bore the lingering warmth of their passionate dual cultivation but his sharp midnight eyes were locked firmly onto the far corner of the room.

He felt the rapid erratic thumping of a human heart vibrating through the foundational rock directly beneath the neat stacks of heavy flour sacks.

Elara realized his sudden shift in demeanor and frantically scrambled to pull her custom dark red chef coat back over her generous curves.

Her pale cheeks burned with a furious red flush knowing a hidden spy had just listened to her screaming his name in boundless desperate ecstasy.

"Stay behind me Elara," Leon murmured softly summoning a dense wave of raw kinetic mana into his right arm while keeping his greatsword securely gripped in his left hand.

He did not bother moving the heavy flour sacks one by one.

He simply raised his open palm and activated a controlled burst of his Kinetic Repulsion skill.

An invisible wall of raw force slammed into the corner forcefully launching the massive sacks across the room where they crashed harmlessly against the stone wall.

A rusted iron ring sat embedded in the wooden floorboards revealing the forgotten entrance to an underground root cellar.

Leon reached down and firmly grasped the metal ring.

He channeled a massive surge of his monstrous Strength directly into his shoulders aggressively violently ripping the thick wooden trapdoor clean off its rusted hinges.

He tossed the broken wood aside staring down into the pitch black square hole.

"Come out into the light before I decide to bury you down there forever," Leon commanded his low dangerous rumble echoing with terrifying unyielding authority.

A pathetic muffled whimper drifted up from the dark hole.

A pair of trembling dirty hands slowly reached over the edge followed by a scrawny young man covered head to toe in thick white flour and dark cellar grime.

The intruder wore torn faded silk garments that suggested he once possessed significant wealth but his frail body looked starved and deeply abused.

He scrambled backward across the kitchen floor pressing his spine desperately against the nearest iron stove while staring up at Leon with wide terrified eyes.

"Please spare my life!" the young man begged frantically raising his frail arms to shield his face. "I swear on my ancestors I did not mean to intrude on your affairs. I was just hiding from the palace guards."

Elara marched forward adjusting her heavy steel meat cleaver with a lethal practiced spin.

Her fierce fire mana flared into the open air causing the ambient temperature to spike dangerously as she glared at the miserable boy.

"You sneak into my kitchen and eavesdrop on my private moments," Elara hissed sharply her vibrant crimson hair practically glowing with fiery rage. "Give me one good reason why I should not chop you into tiny pieces and boil you in the morning stew."

Leon placed a gentle calming hand on the fierce cook’s shoulder silently instructing her to hold her lethal strike.

He utilized his active Danger Intuition and newly acquired Mana Sense evaluating the trembling boy.

The young man possessed a fragmented Tier Two core projecting a weak unstable aura that posed zero physical threat.

"Start talking," Leon instructed chillingly lowering the tip of his heavy dark weapon until it rested an inch away from the boy’s throat. "Give me your name and tell me exactly how you bypassed the elite Vanguard knights patrolling our outer walls."

The scrawny intruder swallowed hard tears carving clean tracks through the thick flour dusting his cheeks.

"My name is Julian of House Avgar," the boy stammered his voice cracking under the intense suffocating pressure radiating from Leon’s broad heavily scarred frame. "My family managed the agricultural logistics for the inner imperial palace. We controlled the royal granaries and the southern trade routes."

Leon remembered reading about the various noble factions in the local library back at the main estate.

House Avgar was a wealthy respectable family known for maintaining a neutral political stance.

"If you manage the royal granaries why are you starving in my root cellar Julian?" Leon asked narrowing his sharp midnight eyes to gauge the boy’s honesty.

"The Chamberlain destroyed us," Julian wept openly burying his dirty face in his hands. "He wanted unyielding control over the capital food supply to starve his political rivals. He forged documents claiming my father was secretly funding the Eclipse Syndicate. The Imperial Executioners slaughtered my entire family three nights ago."

Elara softened slightly lowering her heavy cleaver as she listened to the tragic brutal reality of the capital underworld.

She knew exactly what it felt like to lose everything to corrupt highborn politicians.

"I barely escaped the massacre," Julian continued taking a ragged desperate breath. "I ran toward the eastern noble quadrant because House Sterling is the only faction strong enough to oppose the Chamberlain. I slipped through a broken drainage grate before your Vanguard knights arrived and I have been hiding under those flour sacks ever since."

Leon processed the valuable intelligence rapidly forming a ruthless strategy in his mind.

The Chamberlain had intentionally orchestrated the economic blockade against the Sterling estate using his newly stolen control over the royal granaries.

"You possess intricate knowledge of the Chamberlain’s current operations," Leon stated stepping back to grant the terrified boy some breathing room. "What is his next move Julian?"

"He is forging a massive royal decree as we speak," the young noble confessed wiping his runny nose on his torn silk sleeve. "He plans to declare the Emperor permanently unfit to rule due to his magical illness. The Chamberlain intends to assume emergency dictatorial powers by the end of the week."

Leon offered a dark confident smirk realizing they just found the perfect weapon to shatter the bureaucratic walls trapping them.

If they presented Julian to the remaining neutral houses they could expose the Chamberlain’s treason and ignite a massive political rebellion.

"You chose the right estate to seek asylum Julian Avgar," Leon declared smoothly sliding his colossal star iron greatsword onto his broad back. "Elara fix this boy a bowl of your famous spicy stew. He needs to recover his strength."

The fierce head cook grumbled softly but she quickly walked over to the simmering cauldrons scooping a generous portion of rich savory meat and broth into a heavy wooden bowl.

She aggressively sprinkled a massive handful of blistering fiery peppers over the top ensuring the eavesdropping boy paid a painful culinary price for his intrusion.

Julian eagerly accepted the bowl ignoring the intense burning heat as he practically inhaled the delicious food.

He cried tears of pure overwhelming gratitude silently pledging his unwavering loyalty to the terrifying feral beast who had just spared his miserable life.

Leon left the warm kitchen feeling deeply satisfied with the night’s chaotic events.

He had secured the underground auction artifact conquered the fierce fire mage and recruited a vital political witness.

The capital elites were going to deeply regret trying to lock the Sterling family in a cage.
