My Pervert Sytem

Chapter 140: The Emerald Cloister

The winding subterranean tunnels beneath the capital felt suffocating and damp.

Isolde led the battered strike team through the hidden pathways with strict military precision.

The vibrant green light from her magical lantern cast long dancing shadows against the slick brick walls.

Leon walked near the back of the formation keeping a watchful eye on their rear flank. His heavy dark weapon rested securely against his broad shoulder.

His muscles ached violently from the blunt force trauma delivered by the Syndicate Cleaner but his posture remained perfectly upright.

He refused to show weakness in front of a political rival.

Valeriana walked closely beside him.

The beautiful spy was still shivering clutching his tailored suit jacket tightly around her ruined silk dressing gown.

Her usual arrogant mockery was absent replaced by a quiet lingering shock.

"We are crossing into Vane territory," Isolde announced without turning her head. Her bright green eyes remained fixed on the dark path ahead. "Keep your hands away from your weapons. The perimeter wards will trigger if they sense hostile intent."

Seraphina scoffed softly brushing the damp dirt from her traveling cloak.

"Do not flatter yourself Isolde. If we wanted to slaughter your people we would have done it hours ago."

The bitter political rivalry between the two aristocratic women crackled in the cold air.

They were temporarily allied by circumstance but decades of bad blood could not be erased overnight.

They reached a solid iron door embedded directly into the foundational bedrock of the city. Isolde placed her palm flat against the rusted metal channeling a precise burst of her emerald aura.

The heavy door clicked loudly swinging open to reveal a spacious surprisingly luxurious safehouse.

The Emerald Cloister was designed for high-ranking nobles surviving a siege.

It featured thick stone walls plush green velvet furniture and multiple reinforced exit routes.

Dust covered most of the surfaces indicating the hideout had not been utilized in years.

Elara immediately moved toward the large stone hearth located in the center of the main living area.

The fierce cook summoned a controlled burst of her Tier Six fire mana instantly igniting the dry logs stacked in the fireplace.

A wave of comforting warmth rapidly flooded the damp room.

Valeriana practically collapsed onto the nearest velvet sofa gravitating toward the open flames.

Her pale legs trembled as she pulled her knees to her chest.

"Get her some dry clothes," Leon instructed his deep voice breaking the tense silence.

Isolde glared at him crossing her arms over her crisp military uniform.

"I am not a servant Warden. I do not take orders from a man who goes around the capital city and collapses ancient aqueducts."

Leon smiled a dark predatory grin. He took a slow deliberate step toward the Emerald Knight.

The sheer physical dominance radiating from his towering frame caused her passive magical defenses to wildly fluctuate.

"You invited us into your home Lady Isolde," Leon murmured dropping his volume to a smooth magnetic register. "A proper hostess always ensures her guests do not freeze to death."

The system chimed playfully projecting a glowing interface over the green military braid resting on her shoulder.

[New Quest: The Hostess’s Pride]

[The rival knight is fighting her undeniable attraction with stubborn defiance. Break her strict composure.]

[Objective: Step directly into her personal space. Reach out and gently trace the line of her sharp jaw. Tell her she is too beautiful to be this inhospitable.]

[Reward: +20 Charisma, 500 Shameless Points.]

Leon smoothly closed the remaining distance.

Isolde stiffened her breath catching in her throat as his broad chest hovered mere inches from her face.

He raised his calloused hand. He gently brushed his rough knuckles along the delicate line of her jawline. The sudden intimate contact sent a visible jolt of electricity straight through her rigid posture.

"You are far too beautiful to be so terribly inhospitable Isolde," Leon whispered.

Her pale cheeks rapidly burned with a brilliant furious flush. She swatted his hand away taking a frantic step backward to put distance between them.

Her fierce military discipline fractured under the heavy suffocating weight of his masculine charm.

[Quest Complete. Rewards Distributed.]

A rush of magnetic appeal flooded his features elevating his Charisma to an incredible one hundred and ninety points.

"There are spare garments in the armory," Isolde stammered pointing a trembling finger toward a side door. She refused to meet his intense gaze actively fleeing the room to retrieve the supplies.

Seraphina watched the exchange with narrowed violet eyes. She walked over and dropped the heavy black ledger onto a sturdy wooden table.

"Stop playing with the enemy Leon," the silver-haired warlord chided softly though a possessive smirk played on her lips. "We need to catalog this intelligence before dawn."

Leon rolled his shoulders wincing slightly as a sharp pain flared through his forearms.

The deflected gravity blade from Silas had micro-fractured several bones. His Endless Vigor was fighting a grueling battle to knit the tissue back together.

Beatrice noticed his subtle flinch. The pristine blonde maid materialized at his side her piercing blue eyes scanning his battered form with deep genuine concern.

"You are injured Master," Beatrice stated firmly slipping seamlessly into her strict caretaker persona. "The internal damage is significant. I need to treat those fractures before the swelling worsens."

"It is nothing I cannot handle," Leon replied trying to wave her off.

"That was not a request," Beatrice countered her tone leaving zero room for negotiation. She pointed toward a secluded bedroom located down a short hallway. "Sit on the bed. I will retrieve the medical supplies."

Leon chuckled darkly appreciating her unyielding dedication. He followed her instructions walking into the dim private quarters.

The room was simple featuring a large four-poster bed draped in thick green quilts.

He sat heavily on the edge of the mattress letting out a long exhausted breath. The political war was escalating faster than anyone anticipated.

A Tier Three Grandmaster was a walking natural disaster and the Chamberlain still controlled the narrative above ground.

Beatrice entered the room a moment later carrying a small wooden basin of fresh water and clean linen bandages.

She kicked the heavy oak door shut behind her sealing them in the quiet dimly lit space.

She set the supplies on a small bedside table. Her strict professional mask slipped away revealing a woman drowning in deep desperate devotion.

She had watched him fight the Grandmaster to protect them and the lingering terror of almost losing him was violently tearing at her heart.

"You reckless terrifying fool," Beatrice whispered her voice cracking slightly.

She stepped between his parted knees reaching out to gently unbutton his ruined silk shirt.
