Chapter 1321: Chapter 1320: The Gate of Decision

The two had just left the cave with Swift Phoenix when they found the cave collapsing, feeling a thrill of fear. They underestimated the severity earlier, but unexpectedly, it collapsed within mere seconds.

"Chen Tianlong, what does it mean with ’Life and Death Gate’ written above?" Tan Xianglan had a hunch, yet purposely asked.

"Oh, roughly speaking, one gate leads to life, another to death; I’ve been in such situations before."

"So, if we choose wrongly, we die?"

Chen Tianlong smiled wryly, saying, "Perhaps."

"Oh, no problem. Whichever path you take, I’ll follow, even if it means dying together." Tan Xianglan spoke firmly.

Chen Tianlong was stunned, gazing blankly at Tan Xianglan’s face; meanwhile, Tan Xianglan’s expression turned tender and gentle, her soulful eyes fluttered as she focused on Chen Tianlong, making even someone usually thick-skinned like him feel a tinge of shyness.

"Don’t worry, we won’t die!"

Taking a deep breath, Chen Tianlong approached the two entrances. Although he couldn’t use X-ray and farsight abilities, relying on past experiences, he intended to judge using Sensing Power, since this ability was still functional.

Tan Xianglan nodded. Chen Tianlong briskly walked to one entrance, took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and began sensing the aura of the cave.

After about a minute, Chen Tianlong switched to the other entrance and sensed similarly. Suddenly, his mouth curved into a familiar smile.

Turning around, he reached out to Tan Xianglan, saying, "Come on, Xianglan, let’s go."

"Ah? Are you sure?"

Tan Xianglan was taken aback, surprised by Chen Tianlong’s swift decision and conviction.

"Yes, yes." Chen Tianlong nodded, took Tan Xianglan’s outstretched hand, and began walking into the cave entrance.

Though inside was pitch black, Chen Tianlong could clearly see the path; there was no danger ahead, no obstacles, only a smooth tunnel.

After walking for about ten minutes, they suddenly encountered a dazzling white light ahead.

Chen Tianlong smiled slightly; his guess was right. His previous determination was a façade; he could only sense the breeze and faint chirps from this direction; he wasn’t entirely sure it was a way out.

But now, they were evidently on the right track.

Indeed, as they moved towards the light, the cave gradually widened, opening up.

"Chen Tianlong, I can see the sky! Oh yeah, we’re finally out." Tan Xianglan joyfully leaped into Chen Tianlong’s embrace, excitedly planting a kiss on his cheek.

Chen Tianlong blinked, then regained his composure as Tan Xianglan casually withdrew from his embrace and walked ahead.

However, after a few steps, she found herself facing a cliff edge, dumbfounded.

Chen Tianlong, too, saw this, swiftly approached, looking ahead, realizing they were on a mountainside, where a cave entrance opened up.

Could their escape really lead them here?
