My Succubus Harem System In The Reverse World
Chapter 4: Siphoning the Tsundere’s EnergyChapter 4: Chapter 4: Siphoning the Tsundere’s Energy
Mira led the way out of the testing room, and we walked down a long corridor toward the rear of the guild building.
"A baseline test against an automated dummy won’t show us enough," Mira said over her shoulder.
"If we are going to put you in a medium gate, we need to know how you react under actual pressure, because a dungeon won’t go easy on you just because you are new."
"I thought you said no pressure today."
Jenna sighed and bumped her shoulder against mine.
"Mira gets eager when she sees potential, but don’t worry, because nobody’s going to hurt you while I am here."
We stepped through a set of doors and entered an expansive open training ground.
The space was wide and well-lit, with reinforced walls and high ceilings, and several women were sparring in the center of the room.
One of them stopped the moment we walked in.
She stood out instantly. She had long black hair that faded into blue edges at the tips, and her eyes were a vibrant red.
She was undeniably hot, wearing a combat top and loose pants that matched her skin.
Every other woman in the building had stared at me with curiosity or hunger, but this girl just glared.
No smile. No blush. Just pure irritation.
Well, this is a first.
Finally, someone who doesn’t look at me like I am a piece of meat.
The girl wiped sweat from her forehead and stalked over to us with purposeful steps.
"Captain," she said, nodding to Mira before turning those red eyes back to me.
"Is this the new transfer everyone is whispering about? He doesn’t look like much, and he definitely doesn’t look ready for a gate."
"This is Revien," Mira said with a smirk.
"And Revien, meet Gianna. She’s one of our best aggressive cadets in the academy."
"Aggressive is one way to put it," Jenna murmured.
Gianna stepped closer, looking me up and down with obvious disdain.
"They are saying he’s supposed to be some top-tier supporter, but he looks soft. I bet he would break the second a goblin sneezed on him, and we don’t have time to babysit."
"I’m standing right here."
"I know," Gianna snapped back, stepping even closer until she was invading my personal space.
"And I don’t care. We lose people in the gates because of weak links, and I’m not dragging a fragile man through a dungeon just so he can give us a tiny boost. Men are trash. Let me test him, Captain."
Jenna just nodded.
"Be careful."
"If he can’t handle a simple spar, he has no business in a medium gate."
I gently placed a hand on Jenna’s shoulder and stepped around her.
"It’s fine, Jen," I said casually, smiling at Gianna.
"I can dance for a few minutes if it makes her feel better."
Gianna’s eyes narrowed dangerously.
"Dance? I am going to put you in the medical bay."
"Try it."
Mira chuckled and backed away.
"First to yield or hit the floor loses. Begin whenever you are ready."
Gianna didn’t even wait for Mira to finish her sentence. She lunged forward with blinding speed, aiming a sweeping kick right at my ribs.
My eyes tracked the movement effortlessly.
Time seemed to slow down just enough for me to shift my weight and step back, and her foot sliced through the empty air right where my chest had been a split second before.
Whoa, these stats are no joke.
Gianna cursed under her breath and pivoted, launching a flurry of punches toward my face.
I weaved to the left, ducked under a right hook, and swayed back to avoid a quick jab. I didn’t even try to block, and instead, I just let my body naturally avoid every single strike.
"Stand still!" Gianna yelled.
She threw a heavy roundhouse kick, and I casually ducked under it, feeling the wind brush past my hair while she spun completely around.
Off to the side, I could hear Jenna and Mira talking clearly.
"His reaction time is absurd," Mira said, sounding genuinely impressed.
"He isn’t even using mana to augment his speed, but he is dodging her completely."
"He’s relaxed," Jenna added, her voice full of pride and relief.
"Gianna is throwing everything she has, and he is just reading her footwork before she even attacks."
They were right.
Gianna was fast, but she was predictable because she was fighting out of anger, while my heightened perception allowed me to see exactly where she was shifting her weight before she actually moved.
I’ve never fought before, yet my body can predict her movements.
Gianna let out an annoyed shout and channeled a bright burst of blue mana into her legs, launching herself high into the air for an ax kick aimed directly at my head.
[Skill Activated: Submission]
I raised my right hand right as she descended toward me.
Glowing, ethereal chains of blue energy erupted from my palm. They shot forward like vipers, wrapping securely around Gianna’s wrists and ankles while she was still entirely in mid-air.
"What the—"
Her momentum halted instantly, and she crashed onto the training floor with a loud thud, completely bound by the glowing binds.
She struggled and twisted on the ground, but the chains held firm, reacting to her movements by pulling tighter the more she fought.
I walked over and stood directly above her, looking down into her wide, shocked red eyes.
[Special Condition Met: Target bound.]
[Initiating Energy Siphon.]
The moment the system message appeared, the chains pulsed brightly.
A sudden rush of warmth flooded up the binds and poured straight into my chest.
"-AGH!"
Gianna gasped loudly, her body going limp on the floor as all of her stamina and mana were drained directly into me.
[Consent Parameter: Not Detected.]
[Proceeding regardless. Resistance does not affect yield.]
Did I just steal her power?
Gianna lay there panting, stripped of her energy, while the blue edges of her hair seemed to lose their glow.
"You...bastard," she breathed out, her voice trembling slightly as she looked up at me.
Jenna walked forward, satisfied by the results.
"So," she said, a hint of amusement in her voice, "how was my daughter, Rev?"
"Eh?"
